It now actually hurts my finger to scroll on the right side of the screen. But the touch-screen functionality dies not seem to be impaired.

Thanks Woran. :) Me too. :D

I hope you're keeping well, and having a good one so far. :) Any strange?

Still a bit emotional. I had a serious cry during the weekend, but sometimes you just need a good cry.

EDIT: After googling what 'strange' means in slang, no, no strange :P

*Bundles up some of his favorite 'Weeping music', a comfy blanket, some tissues and a buttload of booze so its ready for transport/usage*

As a fellow weeper and emotional wreck I would gladly keep you company for another emotional roller-coaster...

Hi, everyone. Well, today was interesting. Wednesday's storms knocked sticks from a nearby dead tree onto an access road that I sometimes walk on. Knees, meet broken asphalt pavement. I got moderate scrapes on both knees, and I hurt my right index finger. But I don't think it's broken.

*Heads North to look in on John too, dragging along an ice-pack and some Scotch to dull the pain*

My skeleton is fully intact as well. Bravo gentlemen.

This turtle has been rather unlucky in that department…

I've broken the same limb (or more exactly my left arm) 3 times.

We got Undertale for the PS 4, mostly because of the good things I heard from FaWtL.

I have demonstrated to many people today that you can operate a touch screen with a banana.

Its a fun party trick.

Yeah, but fingers are cheaper. A banana costs what, $10 each?

Not yet, but stay close.

I loved that entire dialog piece. Also what the heck is Very Cross suppose to be?

Mad.

I meant like the monster. He looks kind of lizard-ish to me.

Ever wanted to see someone make an RC flying Thunderquack from Darkwing Duck? Well, now you can!

Those guys make some really cool stuff on their channel.

Hezrou.

Ah OK Haven't seen that art for one before. No wonder he's lizard-ish but I guess frog-ish would be more accurate.

This night is going soooooo slowly for me. I've been here about 3 hours, but it feels like 10. Why won't the clock move faster?!

You should bring a book to read.

I have my Nook with a bunch of books on it. None of them grab me right now. This last hour has gone a little better, but not by much.

I just really wish I was home right now.

Don't we all?

Read any and everything you can find by Brandon Sanderson you won't be disappointed (unless your some sort of freak.)

You also wish I was home right now?

...Sure why not?

I'm always hesitant to start a new series. If I buy a book and hate it, then I feel I've wasted not only my time, but also my money. And while I don't really mind wasting time, I hate wasting money (although I do quite a bit of that as well).

They see me rollin', they hatin'...

Go with Elantris then its a stand alone and like his first published book (Its a little clunky compared to the rest but still great story.)

I'll think about it.

I found a novel way to keep myself from itching or touching my stitches, I just grope and fondle the General instead.

Works like a charm!

Saint Vincent DePaul is a great place to look for sci-fi and fantasy books if you don't want to spend a lot of money on them.

Why is my house overflowing with junk?

I found Impus Major's old 12" bicycle (suitable for 3-4-year-olds), pumped up the tires, put on the training wheels, and put it out front with a "Free" sign on it, then went out for the day.

When we got home around 11 pm it was gone.

Why?

Because the Impii had come outside to go to a friend's house, seen the bike, ridden it there (I have no idea how it even supported Impus Major's weight (110 lb, or 50 kg), much less Impus Minor's), let all their friends ride around on it, declared it the "best bike ever" and then brought it home!

When you cannot even get rid of a 12" bike because your teenage kids think it's "fun", you have junk issues.

The trip to St Louis was great, but really hot (91F). We did manage to get out of there about an hour before the rather awful weather unloaded on St Louis, dropping golf ball sized hail and knocking out the electricity for thousands of people.

We're supposed to hit 86 by the middle of the week.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

We have had over 2 weeks of 90+ degrees with several days of over 100 degrees.

Yep, same here.

We've been in the mid-80's for a couple weeks, with the occasional day of 80 and the occasional day of 88. We've also had major thunderstorms every couple of days, and many of those have included tornadoes.

We usually don't get into the 90/100's until late July and August.

Except for Friday, 60s and 70s with a s&## load of rain.

We just got hail.

It never hails.

I think it may break 70˚ F this week... or maybe drop under 50˚ F at night...

So you guys know about the geckos I don't think I've mentioned the snake yet. My S.O. picked up a ball python from rep-con (its a thing apparently). I was kind of apprehensive at first, but now that I've held him and played with him I realize hes just a big shy goofy noodle. He rolls into a ball (hence the name right?) then peeks out of his little ball like he's trying to hide his face. When he is climbing around you have to watch him or he will unbalance himself and fall. Its hard to take him serious after that.

Never been a fan of lizards or snakes. They don't creep me out, but I don't get the point of keeping them as pets.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

They are both kind of fun. the gecks like to run around and jump from hand to hand. (Almost to trusting of their jumping and landing abilities.) Its also entertaining feeding them their little crickets. The sneke is surprisingly cuddly. Really though whats the point of any pet. cats catch mice so go them and Dogs act as a warning system and can keep burglars away but after... The whole pet thing is bizarre really. Humans see other creatures and decide hmm I'm gonna Stockholm that creature till it loves me!
