For those who don't know, a stick biscuit is a biscuit that was cooked over a bonfire using a biscuit stick.
kinda like Twist bread?
Just a Mort wrote:Also went kickboxing earlier. Yes Cover Turtle, I know, but I told you wis is probably a dump stat for me.
I am a not violent kitty and have no inclination on being violent. That being said if punching people's gloves is that much of an impact, I don't want to think what punching people in the face would be like ><
Also generally my inclination is to block rather then sidestep/dodge.
Not really a violent person either…maybe quite the opposite actually. If you like kickboxing, then go for it! I bet its great exercise and a good way to burn through your aggression (and boy, do somedays give just give you that in spades *eye twitch*) in a efficient way.
Just be careful about that hurt paw of yours…we wouldn't want you to compound your injuries ^^Me? I'm mostly harmless. Pretty low on the confrontation, aggression and general grrrr meter.
I am argumentative and contrarian, though, and I do tend to push peoples buttons during debates…doesn't really help that I'm very cynical, bitter, hyperbolic and venomous when debates get heated either…been during better about that these last couple of years though.
But as for physical confrontations, I really shy away from those. Which is quite a feat considering my bulk ^^'*Assumes the Snapping Turtle style stance and waves at kitty to 'come at him'*
Nah I'm pretty much fine now. No long distance running but for short distances should be good. I dunno, but I actually felt worse about my foot before body combat then after.
Me? I get irritated pretty easily, and I sort of am a bundle of energy. I need to tap it off otherwise I get restless. That's why generally it's something that involves quite a bit of cardio exercises. It helps burn off the excess zip so I end up in a more stable state.
Again the bright side of that is that I can pretty much keep truckin' along all day.

Tequila's Unlikely Anecdote of Positivity:
Yesterday I sent a message via web-contact form to one of those so-called academic elites -- he's a prof and a director at U.C. Berkeley, he's made national news several times, and he's written several well-read books. I've never met the guy, never even been to Berkeley, CA. I sent the message thinking maybe I'd get a reply from a TA or a work-study student within six months, or never.
One hour later I got a reply from his personal email account, including lesson-material from a class he himself teaches. Now that's salt-of-the-earth, giving-two-sh!ts stuff -- aka, leadership!

You'd be surprised; most of the well-known academics who appear on the news are very eager to make new contacts and expand their networks. When I worked at Saint Mary's, Keith Devlin was the dean of our science division. In spite of having a show on NPR and numerous lecturing tours, he always made absolutely sure to answer questions and queries personally, as expanding his network of contacts could always come in handy.
When I say, "I've only ever met one person who earned their $500,000/year salary," it was Keith (and yes, he insisted on being on a first-name basis with us, and I've been to his house). In my 2 years at Saint Mary's, I watched him bring in $31 million in private donations to the university, utterly dwarfing his salary.

I'd say that sounds fun, but I'm not sure you'd agree with me. In the end it should at least be rewarding?

I'm sorry, Mort. Eons ago, back during the early days of FaWtL, someone found that picture and we FaWtLies teased our Unfrozen Pony Lawyer (aka Sebastian) with it. I love to shoehorn in callbacks (seemingly regardless of whether it's actually funny or not), but I didn't consider how poorly that "joke" may have aged. My apologies.

Yes. I'm still a bit beanpole-ish, but I'm far too ungraceful to be an elf.
dwarf
It's hard enough finding pants that fit my long legs now. (Most pants/jeans + my legs = instant capris. I hate wearing capris.) Being a dwarf would just skew heavy the other way, plus a whole lotta other hassles from being that short. So, with my bad luck, no I'd not be surprised to wake up a dwarf.
orc
No surprise. I'm already abit orc-ish, just need a set of Princess Monster Truck teeth.
troll?
No lasting surprise here either. The hairy warts and the clothes/size problem would suck. And I don't think I'd fit in my little Suzuki anymore.

Later this year the company is releasing a couple of designs that me and the wife came up with, that's got us excited.

which version of meta are we talking about? Because 1st and 2nd ed are waaaaaaaaaay different from 4th and ESPECIALLY 5th.
1-3ish ed Shadowrun: You are an orc! Do some math to find out how much weight you gain, how much taller you get, and other factors.
4-5th ed Shadowrun: You are an orc! Here are your funky teeth. NEXT!
