Captain Yesterday "Professional Mud-spreader" is the perfect name for your next alias.

No need, it's no different than spreading peanut butter (or molding mashed potatoes)

Just on a larger scale, with a mini bobcat (and your family doesn't give you weird looks).

Have you tried using a mini bobcat to mold a mixture of mashed potatoes and peanut butter?

While nekkid, of course.

Wouldn't be ironic if all the little "Made in China" stickers were not made in China?

I know all about those.
They are delicious. And yes, the egg does need to be room-temp.

That's a good idea. It is fantastic, but really rich if I remember right, so unless its for a ton of people you probably want to stick to one batch.

Yeah that does look rich.

No. It was amped for the film.

They can be aggressive, especially if they've been urbanized, but this one would have had to have been rabid to be like that, and even then... nope.

It's not really from to many thoughts or other standard insomnia issues...

I inherited a lack of natural melatonin from my dad. It'll probably get worse with age, but for right now it catches up to me about once a year... at this point my dad takes melatonin supplements about once a week or so, I think, maybe a bit more. I just let my body get back to normal by spending one day mostly out of it.

Sure, but you can always use it! XD

(By which, of course, I mean, “If you are forcibly awake and unable to get to sleep anyway, you might be able to channel that into creative endeavors that can be fun enough to wile the hours away.” It certainly doesn’t always work that way - I know I’ve been there before - but it’s an option to possibly help!)

We haven't seen The Incredibles 2 yet.

Probably won't, Pixar movies annoy me.

No, but raccoons are intelligent, and they are jerks.

Apparently, I'm supposed to know of a park on the east side with free concerts.

When I asked which park, I was testily told "That new one that used to be a bunch of derelict factories and buildings before they tore it down"

That's at least half the parks on the east side.

Im very sorry to hear about the dog John.

Our dog has an injury on his toe.

He's also a big giant baby that won't dip his foot in warm soapy water, so I get to fill the tub with warm soapy water and hold him in it.

It's not my favorite part of the day.

And if that doesn't work we have a well renowned animal hospital two blocks away.

Okay, on the one hand, sorry you feel so crappy today and I’m glad that you will be able to go back to a normal sleep schedule very soon.
On the other hand, I low-key hate you right now. I’ve had constant insomnia since I was little and have never been able to sleep without some help from medication (or from collapsing from exhaustion, that works too). My kid has never not had insomnia. (Sorry, baby! I know, you inherited some really crappy genes!) The kidlet has taken melatonin every night since he was five in order to get some sleep. Not a lot, but better than none. So the amount of jealousy I am experiencing for your one night of insomnia a YEAR is not inconsiderable... :/

The concert was amazing and the kidlet was basically on cloud nine. The special earplugs I got worked wonders and I was able to hear the music without being in pain from the noise, so that was awesome. The lead singer stopped in the middle of the kidlet’s favorite song to talk about how depression and anxiety and seeing a therapist are nothing to be ashamed of, which was kind of a big deal since the kidlet has been really struggling with feeling embarrasssed about seeing a therapist, so having someone he admires publicly call out that it’s okay made a difference. All in all it was a great experience. And then we took yesterday to recover because it also took a lot of energy. :)

Yeah... I managed to fall asleep around 5:00 and sleep til ten, so not even a full night of insomnia this time around either.

I am sorry that you and your kid experience this more than I do.

Pretty much the same boat I've been in since my early 20s. Melatonin and anxiety medication have gone a long way toward killing it, but even one night without either of those has me staring at the dark twitching and shivering and unable to sleep.

Sorry! I presupposed you knew what chat services are.

Do you know about the old (now-basically-defunct?) AOL Instant Messenger, or Windows Live Messenger chat functions?

Like the old stuff where you used to have a chat between one or more people, and hang out, and have it updated real-time?

Discord is like that, but "modern" and just kind of really fancy.

It uses its own App, like Steam. It's free, but you can pay for extra "privileges" that I don't bother with.

I know of them, kind of, not really.

Are you telling me that I'm less tech savvy then a five year old Amish kid.

Because, I'm still confused.

Is it just typey type chat or you can see me pick my nose Facetime type of chat.

It can have video chat like Facetime but it's not required, and can work just fine as a text-only chat room.

It is the Face-cam/chat-room/voice-chat app that skype dreamed of one day becoming. it is all three rolled into one. (I've not used the face-cam option yet, but the other two are just better than Skype for many reasons, but if you join to many discord servers, your computer will sound like a phone that dings all day.)
