If Cinderella's glass slipper fit so perfectly that her foot was the only one in the kingdom that matched it, then why did it fall off her foot in the first place?
Because our feet are of different sizes but shoes always come in the same size. So the shoe that fell off could be loose.

But if it's loose enough to fall off, then it would likely fit someone else's foot.

The down side to already having cut through the cable, phone, and sprinkler lines is, every time I pound in a paver restraint stake and it meets resistance I can't help but wonder what I cut through this time.
The up side is, I've become so desensitized to it, I don't even care anymore, it's just metal bending in the wind, man.

*wobbles by*
I'm saddened by missing nude kitty…
All this poke-talk makes me wanna dust off the old poke-jokes.
Then again, I'm a lazy turtle.
…
*sigh*
I'm feeling the blues today.
*lumbers over to Mort and starts to massage her flanks*
Might distract me from my thoughts…
*purrs at Cover Turtle and nuzzles him*
I'm kinda tired today, will look at the world creation exercise probably tomorrow or so at night - since work is likely gonna be a rush.

'Tis alright Mort.
Hope work lightens up for you, as all work and no play is no fun at all.
And don't mind me much.
Its just when I feeling down, I often seek out others and offer my help or companionship, as I'm so useless at helping myself…
It's a strange kind of complex.

Just another rant. One of my players was asking for live chat for PBP. Sure I'm active beyond the norm, but I can't have a live chat on at work, since all those flashing lights and beeping sounds are going to attract unwanted attention and get me caught for skiving. For me if you want to communicate, that's what discussion and PMs are for.
As such I also will not open things on roll20, since you can't unless on premium membership, which I refuse to pay for.
Can't you just appreciate your GM for what she can do rather then make her do things she can't?
Amen, sister!

Hey, Nobody! How are you feeling?
Now that I've had TWO days to recover, significantly better, thanks!
A nice slow day at work will be a pleasant help: Still no servers, so I told my manager I'd be taking lynda.com training on Groovy scripting and she OK'ed it, so I get to learn. A rare treat for an old man!

Weird. Just posted a Shiro obit and it didn't take.
Basically one of those "epic moments" in roleplay: Shiro had a waiting graveknight (CR 11) ready to slaughter our 8th-level party. It got to go first, and its full-round attack on our dwarven paladin of Torag dropped his hit points into the teens.
Instead of healing, the dwarf just looked at us all, said, "It's been a pleasure working with all of you," Smote Evil, and ripped into the graveknight right back.
He of course died on the graveknight's next turn (dropped to exactly -12 hit points with a CON of 12), but he did enough damage and bought us enough time that the Hasted, bane-ing, judgement-ing inquisitor of Pharasma stepped up, hit the graveknight 3 times, and dropped IT to exactly 0 hit points, which is unhealthy for undead.
A very short, very epic fight.
And yes, we did sell all our loot to bring the paladin back. Because you don't let friends like that go.

I am necessary. I am the glue that holds the fabric of the universe together. At least that's what the voices tell me.
You are metaphysical transglutaminase?!

Ah, what a stupid afternoon!
I had a 100.8°F fever on Saturday but ran Crimson Throne for a few hours anyway, just to get all the leveling up/shopping nonsense out of the way. (And let's be blunt: When three of your players take 2-3 hours each to level up, select spells, and shop, the GM doesn't have a ton of work to do.) Trouble is, by the end of it I was exhausted. Collapsed on the couch for an hour, then played a little FF, then went to bed before 9.
On Sunday I was feeling significantly better so I played in Shiro's game, but I obviously wasn't 100%.
I tried to take it easy today, but Monday is "clean up after the weekend" day, and I also went on a very short walk (10 minutes, tops).
And now I feel like I'm dying.
So, I have no work whatsoever. I'm just watching training videos. I could take the afternoon off sick and no one would care.
EXCEPT that we have finite sick time, and infinite vacation, and I've taken a LOT of sick time already this year (my flu, Impus Minor's flu, and NobodysWife's surgery).
So I'm lying down on the couch watching the training from afar, because it's preferable to taking sick time.
Stupid body!

A Diswhat?
A discman. A Sony Discman. They came out back when I was in high school. Replaced the original walkmans.
They were all the rage. Along with leg warmers and headbands so you could pretend that you sweat enough to need them.

I will never forget blasting my ears out to my discman.
My first cds ever purchased were Let's Fire(Macross 7 soundtrack, aged well) and the Rockman X Arrange soundtrack( aged VERY well, still love synth jazz to this day).
