On the bright side, emailing my son's caseworker was immediately productive and he got a solution approved by the teacher right away to let the kidlet spend less time on math homework (he was at more than three hours a night thanks to his dysgraphia and the challenge of finding a non-handwriting way to do math, which means he and I are both rather sleep deprived after a couple weeks of this) so he can actually get to bed on time tonight! Hallelujah!

I have had the same problem but the best solution I found was LaTeX wiki but this is really difficult at first.

Of course this was the same school where my 8th grade Algebra class consisted of 8 (yes eight) people, and they couldn't get enough textbooks from the same edition for everyone. All the questions were the same, but the sample problems were all different. And the teacher's guide was a different edition from all the student books. So half the class had one edition, half the class had a second edition, and the teacher had a third edition. Also, the teacher was hired primarily as a basketball coach and had no idea how to really do Algebra, let alone teach it.

Man, my players are so selfish. My birthday was on Tuesday, so I took cupcakes to the game today. I told them that as a gift, all I wanted from them was to kill one of their characters. And NO ONE WOULD LET ME!!!! How rude!

I went to elementary ina coal mining town. so they had a lot of money to throw around from taxes but not really anything to do with it so we had new everything all the time. one of the first schools in the nation to have a set of computers in every room. Down side is their was a large block of the curriculum that involve learning about coal and related subjects.

Money? What's that? The town had a population under 1,000. The county has a population under 7,000. We had a computer lab. It consisted of about a dozen Apple 2s. Not 2e, just 2. They were hardly ever used because 1) we had no software to speak of, and 2) none of the teachers knew how to use them for anything other than some basic word processing. And only one of them was connected to a printer, a shitty dot-matrix that sometimes worked, but usually didn't.

We're expecting an inch or two (of snow) tomorrow night.

A lot of good that does me though, I work until midnight tomorrow night and then back at 8:30 Saturday morning (but I get off at like 5 Saturday afternoon, so).

More snow on Tuesday so hopefully we can do the cliche whole family walks through the snow to get the Christmas tree bit then.

I finally caved last week and started playing Christmas music before my first hour started. To mix it up, however, it's been different every time, so the kids have started commenting on how they can't predict anything to expect from me.
