Thunder City here - been going on for over 24 hours now.

So, yay for books!

Naked Thunder!

Where's the lightning?

Hi everyone,

still much to hot, for the weekend they predicted 38*C / 100F !!!!!!!!!

Been there out in the desert where Ebon lives for a few months now.

Hovering around the high 90s all month here, even when it rains.

Waiting for autumn.

Sad thing is, even with as hot as it is outside, I still have to have the space heater on in my office, because the AC vent is right above my desk and it's got to be set to try to keep this place at 50* or lower.

Yes. She likes me. We still have to work out the details. Since more people in the house means more electricity and water usage (and we do not pay the utility bills), it is reasonable that the rent should increase. That should be ironed out soon, though.

Thanks for all the positive waves guys, and thanks for a place to vent a bit.

Yes. Always remember...Houston is fawesome.

it really is. I didn't see many people last time I was there though, ill check again over the course of this weekend.

Ugh. This was not a good morning. I walked out of my apartment and went to get in my car and noticed I did not have my keys. The apartment locked behind me.

I wound up having to break in through a window.

That is now how days are supposed to start.

Damn. I'm sorry. That really sucks.

but. .. you had to break in to your house. ... still, venting helps.

In an office with computers in every room (sometimes as many as three or four) and several server machines on-site, keeping things cool is a business necessity. Us fleshy Users, those of us who aren't adapted to constant lower temperatures (40-50*) at least, just have to make do. Keeping it any warmer on a regular basis just isn't practical.

You'd probably be pretty comfy ;)

What's freaky is that we really don't have much of a heat system. If you don't have a space heater in your room, you're kind of out of luck in the winter.

I imagine that I looked too ridiculous to any onlookers to be mistaken for a burglar. I rather ungracefully flopped through the chest-high window. Fortunately, I did not have to break any glass - just pry off the screen and lift the window open.

Feeling overall nervousness.

It's past full moon and yet I feel like it just started...

Breaking into apartments in broad-daylight... in New York :O

At least now you know how easy/difficult it is to break-in. (Just in time to move)

And at tonight's game met a bloke who knew someone who only turned up because of paizo chat!

The game was a lot of fun especially playing the bashful priest when we visited the gentlemans' club. :P

Just a half day of work for me, then it's home, a quick bit of packing, and I'm off to New Orleans for my parent's 50th anniversary. It'll be good to have all my brothers in one spot again. It's been awhile.

Scarab Sages

Thirdly, during our Kingmaker session last night, I almost killed my brother's character. That'll learn him to run ahead of the rest of the party!! Lucky for him, the giant tick wasn't doing bite damage while it grappled him - just sucking blood.

Never underestimate mites. They may have shit for hit points, but their vermin friends can be brutal.

Scarab Sages

Actually, that was more like fourthly, I think.

Scarab Sages

Ordered a Paizocon Pint Glass this morning. I have one from each year, I think. Even though I've only been to 2012, I still like to add the glasses to my collection.

Scarab Sages

All right folks, bye for now.

That dungeon was such a blast for my group.

Mikmek the kobold survived a critical hit from the giant centipede, forever cementing his reputation as a badass to the rest of the party. He later became their Royal Executioner/Assassin.

The Oracle in my group got a crit card on the tick that switched placed with it. So suddenly she's standing with the chief on her shoulders and the rest of the party has the tick right in their midst. Everybody suddenly freaked out. Then the barbarian kicked it into the (now dead) centipede's chasm.

And the whole time I was doing this incredibly annoying "Nyyyyoooooooan" voice for the mites to illustrate how pathetic they looked and sounded. My players hate that voice to this day.

I should both go and get a glass commemorating the event. Like I did with otakon and bronycon!

in my gaming experience there is a difference between rushing off by yourself and scouting ahead.
