Obviously he needs to hate the game, not the playa!

It's ironic, but you know what I miss? I miss all the political threads that used to be here. I didn't post on them much, but they were nice to read for me. I don't really watch the NEWS. And after you sift through all the vitriol of some posters, you ended up with a fairly balanced view of the issue(s) being discussed. I used to get all my NEWS from Paizo -- but now it feels like nothing is happening in the world. I guess we need another election year.
Internet some John Stewart or Stephen Colbert?
(At least for a while...) Paizo posters were able to present alternate sides to issues fairly well. While Stewart and Colbert are entertaining and present good points, I question just how "balanced" they truly are.

I say the same thing about some of the posters here on Paizo. Ironic.

Some of us try. We get discouraged when pushy people with a post count under 10 show up and troll. It happens on both sides too regularly. :(

I agree!

I don't think I understand your statement. I'm really in no way saying that any one poster on Paizo is "balanced", but rather as a whole, I found that I could eventually get a balanced picture because there were a number of people on opposing sides who could (eventually) present their case. Whenever I see a NEWS item, I find myself asking -- "What are they not telling me."

Spoiler:

I'm purposely taking you out of context for the sake of a punchline. But there are certain posters that are 'not balanced' and not telling me something when presenting the news. A certain mustard warrigal comes to mind. ;-)

Silver Crusade

Wasn't there some study that found that people who watch the comedy "news" shows had a better grasp of current events than people who actually watch the news?

Liberty's Edge

Sadly, yes. :(

Booming outside, and here we are in the basement yet again. This spring is very high on the suckage scale.

Haha, I saw this a few days ago. It would have been even more awesome if she'd said, "What is thy bidding, my master?"

~laughter~ "All too easy!"

BOOM!

Edit: And we seemed to be doing so well for about a day or so.

Silver Crusade

Hmm. I have a phone interview with a company in Portland. Sweet!

I can only imagine how tiresome that must be.

Is it a finished basement at least?

Years ago, when the wife and I were house-hunting, we looked at one house that had a creepy basement. Dirt floor, low ceilings, lots of spider webs, dark, each section separated by walls with narrow openings. It reminded me of the tunnels in the bad guys house at the end of Silence of the Lambs.

Edit: I, of course, loved it!

Your getting all our moisture. Give it back

Seriously though, I hear you guys are getting hammered. Take care.

Speaking of Weather, it's warm and sunny here in Las Vegas. Winds are finally dying down again. Anyone prefer the dry climates over rain, forests and humidity.

Just wondering...,

Sacred vows are fun to violate. I've seen so much in Las Vegas over the last 40 years....,

How goes it Patrick? How is Ally doing?

My girlfriend got her iPhone last Thursday and have been playing Angry Birds, Pocket Frog, and Ninja Fruit.

I can't wrap my head around the concept of playing games on a phone yet.

EDIT: I asked her what she played and she picked up her phone to read off the games ... and started playing Angry Birds ... and announced that she just went up a level in Angry Birds. o.O

I have that effect.

Speaking of 'scaring away', I actually had to block a post on FB for the first time. Someone had the audacity to ... post a picture ... of the blue waffle ... on their FB wall. My g/f alerted me to it. She wasn't pleased either. I admit I can be tasteless, but at least I try to be tactful about it. ;)

Okay, people, what the hell is going on?
