Schrödinger's Messageboards

I am looking forward to collapsing the wave function a little after 5pm today.

To determine if any random event (1000+people accessing the forum at the same time) can cause the messageboards to crash.

It has happened in the past, and right now we are looking at the box wondering are the messageboards alive or dead?

Cannot wait till 5pm to find out, on and to find out if I made it in the top 32!

Oh, I know the truth.

You just wanted to show everyone that you could type that o with the dots over it :)

Actually it was copy and paste, I was surprised it kept the two dots.

Wanted to make sure I spelt it correctly so I searched the web and copy and pasted. hahaha

I can't speak to collapsing the wave, but I know it will collapse the message boards.

At least this year I don't have to worry about if I'm in.

Yup - I expect at 1:55 p.m., P.S.T (Paizo Standard Time), things could get a bit ... syrupy.

Just curious, for those that wish to (just as anxiously) monitor their e-mail accounts for news of their impending Superstardom, (perhaps also in the hopes of avoiding total messageboard meltdown) - anyone know if there is much of a lagtime between those individual e-mails, and posting on the Paizo site?

On another thread someone had posted their email they got last year and it showed a time stamp of 2 minutes after the announcement time. They also say they are going to post on Facebook. So I am going to watch that, because I'm sure the board will be overloaded.

Dark Archive

I've got family in town. I'll probably look in later tonight, to see who got in, but I find myself in a zen-like state of not-caring-very-much.

I got in. I didn't get in. My submission is in some quantum voodoo state of alive/not-alive. It's all good. (Note to self, stat up quantum zombies...)

In a glass half-empty sense, if I do get in, that just means that I have to reach back into my head and recreate one of the half-dozen archetype ideas I jotted down on the computer that blew up.

In a glass half-full sense, if I didn't get in, I can relax and take sour grapes pot-shots at everyone who did make the cut, and that's always good fun. :)

Or perhaps an UNCERTAINTY LICH?

As long as it doesn't turn things randomly into other things when teleporting, that sounds really cool. Although I can see the humor in turning my powergaming fighter PC's favorite sword into a potted plant or whale in the final encounter...

Suprise Elementals are the way to go.

I'm partial to the Chaos Spawn, myself.

For those of us who aren't really Facebook saavy, how does one do that?

Go to facebook.com and sign up for a account. Simple as that. After you get your account set up then type in the search box Paizo and that should bring up their page on facebook.

Already have an account...

Already "like" "Pathfinder RPG by Paizo" and a member of "Pathfinder RPG" group. That's got it covered then, I guess...

Just doesn't seem to be any activity at those locations. I expected some anticipatory chatter or content...

To be extra specific, the Paizo page is http://www.facebook.com/paizo and is simply called "Paizo." There are a lot of other pages about Pathfinder and Paizo that are not official, and the winners won't be posted on those ones.
