At work, so I can't update the map. Working until 0400 he's tomorrow, so the map will have to wait until I get an opportunity.

With both Johnny and Archy frozen in place, it is up to Walker to protect them. Tyrus is flying above the entangling grass, which wraps around Johnny's legs. Valora's master is unconscious but she is still protecting him.

I was not saying I don't believe you in that sense. I was saying in the sense of "just my luck". I actually thought you were a wizard who was determined to spam that spell until it worked.

The fly spell would force me to float to the ground.

I guess I would have passed through the wall of wind at some point. Do I know where it is yet. What I really want to know is can I shoot the flying caster. If not I will fly back up there once I break free.

Ah, so I guess I should have used my first save as the initial and had a second for my initiative step.

Okay my initiative step save is: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

The crowd begins cheering for Tyrus, aware of the possible come from behind. A few of them seem shocked at the possibility that Beckett may have been crushed to death by the snake.

The Wind Wall vanishes just before Archy's last turn. I imagine you could hear the winds with ease.

Flying down to where Archy lay, Tyrus casts another spell. Electricity crackles through Archy's body as Tyrus places his hand on Archy's chest.

The crowd gasps in excitement for the sudden reversal of fortune. Only moments before, the upstart challengers were paralyzed and helpless. Now, like phoenixes, the two appear poised to catch up and retake the lead. Somewhere, an enterprising entrepreneurial gnome is quickly buying the rights to The Two Phoenixes, intent on making a fortune off the pair.

Archy's paralysis left him on the ground. He'll have to move fast to get up and moving to keep his newfound advantage.

Make a DC 20 Fly check to take a 5 foot step into the air if you're still affected by fly. Otherwise you'll have to stand the old fashioned way.


Fly check 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

Okay, things should be updated. Archy, you're prone in the middle of the entangling grass. You presumably auto-failed the first one when you fell into it, so you are currently entangled (immobilized) and will need to break free with a DC 14 Escape Artist or Strength check. Johnny, Walker is still on the sloped side of the pit and needs to make Reflex saves if it is going to stay there (with a +2 bonus), once for ending there on round 9 and once for ending there on round 10. Depending on his round 9 save, you can change Walker's round 10 action.


Round 10, Initiative 12

Tyrus nods his head towards Archy and replies, "Thank you. I've been dying to meet you. I heard a really good joke in a tavern recently. Would you like to hear it?" as he casts another spell and floats up a bit higher.

Archy must make a DC 22 Will save.

No, I figured that he would simply hover. The entangle is visible and apparent to everyone who can see it.

Walker slithers towards Tyrus, ready to attack. The vines try to get hold of him, but his body is too thick. He rounds the bonfire and eyes Tyrus, floating in midair.

I moved him to F20-G21. Edit: C18-D20, since he has a 20' move speed, not 30'.

That is a longer way, I moved. By bottom left corner: E13->F13(5)->G13(10)->H13(15)->H14(20)->H15(25)->H16(30)- >H17(35)->H18(40)

That way he may have a chance at an AoO. :)


Archy must make another 22 Will save. If he fails, then the spell lasts for the entire duration (5 more rounds).

The Wolf Lord isnt there to instruct. Also Valora cant fly and will not be able to survive the Entangle vs 2 archers.

This is true. My fly spell is still active, and the druid can probably change form if needed assuming the wolf can get by the snake. He still has a chance, but it is not a good one. In any event I am here to continue the fight or await the next combat if there is one.
