I would absolutely love to see you as a Judge again. Your comments always have been great and helpful, even if, or mainly because they were often brutally honest.
But If you don't get to be a "Guest Judge" or anything I have an offer for you:

I tell you what. You give me your email address, I'll send you my item, you can then tell me what's wrong with it, then I'll submit it. :D

I have no pull with Mr. Erik Mona. But I do hope they give in to your addiction as I think your insights are like gold. I am only sorry that you are not participating in the judging this year. Even if you were to rip my submission into little bits, you would do so constructively. (P.S. Not that I am implying the other judges would do any differently, I just happen to like reading Clark Peterson's comments.)
Last spring Vic went through and cleaned up the discussions for the latter half of the "Feedback" thread. Perhaps you could volunteer to do that clean up for him in exchange for early access? If not:

I'm an actual judge. As in, a judge in real life. Black robe, gavel, etc. Judicial cannons prohibit involvement in contests with prizes.

Yeah, becareful to follow those judicial rules closely. My uncle-in-law was a probate judge who got ousted recently cause he let himself get informal with the rules in regards to dealing with the headaches of getting anything done through bueacracy's redtape. There are people watching who would love to see anyone in power get thrown under the bus for not obeying every little nuiance of the rules.

Of course once we heard Clark's request we granted it... Clark has done more for this contest than just about anybody else—and with no compensation—so if he's willing to spend another holiday season going through items wondrous (and some less wondrous)—and his wife is willing to let him—who are we to say no?
So, what you're saying is that just when he thought he was out, he gets pulled back in? :-)

Edit to add: I think it shows how special the RPG Superstar contest is when you see guys like Clark and Matthew chomping at the bit and just as excited as the first time participants. It's fun seeing everyone's creative and competitive impulses getting cranked up as the contest gets underway.
