My appologies for lurking.
But if I might suggest you could split the difference between the point buys and go with 25 points and two traits. You can probably find conversions for the LoF mods for 6 players somwhere on the boards and then throw in one or two extra Mobs to compensate for the increased stats.
Just a thought.

Acheron - The Keeper of Truth |

Hey everyone, I'm popping on just to help out a bit. Stuff is still hectic on my end with a very close friend of my wife and mine being in the hospital. But that's not what I'm here for.
The reason I increased the point buy to 32 and three traits was because I essentially increased the CR of the monsters by two and wanted to add a bit of flavor to your characters to represent just a bit more experience than the whole "Got a bit of gold and bought some stretched out leathers to wear" adventurer.
Conversion downgrades should be easy for whichever GM takes over. I suggest 25 points as opposed to 20 points but as I'm not the GM anymore it isn't up to me. Two traits isn't a big deal either. Reason I chose three was because one of them I had required to be one of the Campaign Traits and wanted you the players to still have a pair of traits that was more your own per se.
Also, Tordek, I'm working getting a copy of the AP to you.

Cool campaign concept
Thanks for the explanation. That makes a lot of sense. It would have been a great game. I hope all turns out well on your home front.
As far as the AP goes, I'm all set. If I gm, I have the the first AP issue coming (I was going to buy it eventually anyway) or we may have found a different GM.
On that note, for players.
We have a GM who has volunteered. DM of Chaos. Just started posting yesterday. What are your thoughts about giving him a chance. If no one was a available to GM, I was willing to do it, but for now, my preference is play now, gm later. If it doesn't go so well, I may be in a better position to take over at that point.
Please respond today, so that I can let Mr. Chaos know.
Thanks

Good morning, well it's morning here anyway. I'm excited to step in here, and hope we can keep this thing alive.
I've read through most of this thread, and will be looking at each charcater to familiarixe myself with the men and woman I get to kill. I'll save the paladin for last so he can be toutured by your deaths.
Anyway, I'd prefer a 25 point buy over 30 and 2 feats if that would be acceptable.

Welcome - I'll rework Talahel this weekend. Thanks for stepping in.

Rethinking my weapon maybe any ideas for a cool weapon for an elven barbarian?
Pops out from Lurker mode.
You could go with the Elven Curveblade. 1d10 damage 18-20/x2 crit range. Avg damage = 5.5 + STR mod x 1.5 with increased crit range vs. Greatsword Avg damage = 7 + STR mod x 1.5.
It's really hard to go wrong with the greatsword for the barbarian, but the curve blade could be interesting.
Returns to lurker mode.

Why do dwarfs have like 5 weapons with "dwarf" in the name but elves get 1? Also I might take the curve blade just for the simple fact that it fits the feral grace feel I was going for with Tahl.

"Able" Ablenaffener |

Able is statted and ready for play - background is pretty rudimentary. He grew up in Restov hearing tales of the Pathfinders and was enamored of their feats of derring-do and their powerful magic items, a long-time fascination of his. He traveled to Absalom, was accepted as a Pathfinder, and is now traveling to Katapesh with Garavel, excited to explore the fabled ruins of Kelmarane.

I say till the end of the weekend or something before making any decisions, I just don't want to have this RP die before it even starts.

I'm still here too. If we haven't heard from DM of Chaos by Sunday, I will contact Megan to see if she is still interested. She is running several pbp on these boards and I am in one of them so I know she is active. But I am willing to wait through the weekend. If Megan can not do it, I will assume the GM role. Don't give up hope, this PBP will live.
Is Cyra's oracle going to post soon, so that all of the characters are at least in place?

Good morning. I'm Megan and Tordek has asked if I'd be your DM. As I prefer DMing to playing I would be glad to run your game for you if you'll have me.
I understand that you are about ready to start, is that correct?
Has everyone read the Legacy of Fire Player's Guide?
My intention is that you have all, for whatever reason (which I expect to find in your character background!) signed on to the service of a merchant princess named Almah, and we open the game with you all heading out into the northern scrublands of Katapesh on the camels of a man named Garavel, who is her major domo and has recruited you on her behalf. At your destination, a campsite by a landmark called the Sultan's Claw, Almah will confirm your employment and brief you on the mission she wishes to undertake.
My rules are simple. I expect everyone to pop in daily (although I understand that many have more of a life than I do and don't always manage at weekends!), or to let me know if they need to be absent - I'll take good care of characters whose players are missing. Please use the board die-roller, so shall I unless there's a good reason for a hidden roll. I run combat by asking for initiative rolls, statement of intended action and any necessary rolls for resolving that action: then when everyone has posted (or 24 hours has elapsed, in which case I roll for the missing) I resolve the entire combat round. I've found this keeps things moving in a PbP game better than expecting everyone to post in order. Above all, the core rule is to have fun!
Once you've all sounded off and are ready, we'll let the fun begin :)

What would a hunga munga be classified under when used for melee light or one handed?
EDIT: Never mind. Not going to worry about it.
