I know what you're thinking...

The Exchange

Nah uh!

I used my power of precognition to know that you would know what I was thinking…thereby allowing me to know what both of us is thinking.

Taig, that shirt doesn't go with those shorts.

The rest of you, carry on.

I teleport into a pool of water.

Wait a minute . . . what's psionics? Isn't the name of a book that Dune guy wrote and then turned into a religion? Oh, you mean thooosssse psionics. Well, if you were psionic, you could read my mind and get the answers for yourself.

I would rather use mind control and make you tell me the answers.

With my powers of clairvoyance, I want you to know that I can see what you're doing, and it's kind of gross.

Spoiler:
But kind of exciting at the same time.

With my empathic abilities, I can sense your arousal at seeing what I am doing.

I have ESPN.

Spoiler:
No, really, I do.

My tremor-sense suggests you are lying.

Poodle, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view. Of course, your point of view is generally entwined with a leg...

CourtFool wrote:

If you're going to use mind control then you should use it right.

Make him change the answers to what you want them to be. Then make him think it was his idea to answer like that.

You know I know you know I know, so I don't really have to post it.

Blasphemy! It wasn't the Dune guy (Frank Herbert) who wrote that book and made that religion. It was THIS guy!

He's got the psionic power of self-confusion.

This isn't a real psionics thread, there is no insults, no one is calling other people liars. Where is the misinformation?

*pokes taig in the eye to get some more of that psionics hostility going on.*

*Juants in jaunts out.*

At the same time, Vancian spellcasting is cribbed from an actual science and sorcery series, and has spells such as Telepathy, which itself comes from the 19th century.

You forgot my precognitive powers. I put my hand up to block your eye poke, Three Stooges-style.

Psionics can do anything!

Oh, look, here are the doughnuts I willed into existence...

Hold on... Celestial Healer is really Ceiling Cat?! I'm so confused.

And this isn't a real psionics thread... Ralph Nader hasn't even popped in to complain about how dangerous the Nova is.

The Chevy Nova never sold well in Latin America, so I question the reasoning behind classifying the Nova dangerous.

Yeah, wasn't it the Pinto that kept blowing up?

Beware The Pinto!!! (no relation to The Mule)

Well, technically it was the Corvair that was unsafe at any speed, but I was hoping that was close enough to Nova... a favorite lament of many anti-psionic posters.

Hee hee. I just wanted to namecheck one of favorite literary psionic characters.

Has not Lisa asked us many times to 'play nice' in the Detroit Automakers threads? Why do you insist on spouting your bile at America?

RPG Superstar 2012

And now, strangely, this thread takes an acrimonious turn about cars of all things.

Well, yeah! Why did Ambrosia Slaad have to bring up the Corvair? I mean srsly! Is that really called for?

And the mods sit by and do nothing. How very typical.

I blame it on stupidly owning an used MGB (1st car) and an used Pontiac Fiero GT (2nd car). That's enough trauma to make me seriously consider the Amish horse & buggy route.

...and I blame Cosmo.

At least on that, we can agree.

A friend of mine and I made up lyrics to "B&#$&in' Fiero" to the Dead Milkmen's "B#!&#in' Camaro".

After the initial new-to-me car buzz wore off, I think I almost always referred to both cars with swear words. Thank goodness I had a moment of clarity and sold that Fiero before I attempted to re-skin it as a Lamborghini.

Why yes, WIS is my dump stat.

And I still want to build a Tri-Magnum.

For a moment, I thought you were talking about a triple barrier condom for maximum protection, but I thought to myself ... why would she want that?
