The planet that we are going out into the field.
What are some details like law level for owning weapons? What kind of weapons and armour do people carry normally?
Does are brief include cover identities and what kind of police powers we might have? Are there any rules like Miranda rights, illegal search laws, or other things that we need to be aware of?
Sorry, this is my first time playing Dark Heresy as a player. I've played quite a bit of 40k over the years and am familiar with things on the battlefield and have gone through the first few chapters of the rule book for how to make a character, equipment, and combat. I just thought that I would leave the information on what worlds are like up to the GM.
Oh, I noticed this blog post of a group doing Rogue Trader.

Common Lore is an Advanced Skill that Hand does not possess. As an advanced skill, there is no chance of success without the skill.
So, there is no way for me to know.

I have a warp related question.
If I use the invocation skill I get my willpower bonus again for the roll.
If my WPx2 itself is enough to cross the threshold of the power, do I still need to roll a dice?
If I don't this makes the day-to-day psychic power uses a little less deadly but still does not interfere with combat and other stressful events.

I have so far never had a problem with showing dice rolls. The other option is to keep that sort of stuff contained in a spoiler. The dice roller still works when it is inside of a spoiler.
Personally, it has never bothered me as long as it is usually marked with a bit of ooc text to let me know that is a dice roll and what the dice roll is for.
