Stuck in the office currently. But about to have a VERY packed extended weekend:

Tomorrow & Friday a co-worker and I are going up to the Cities to attend seminars/training on Sharepoint and Office 2010 - Resume material! YAY!

Tomorrow night, my boss & two co-workers are going to the Twins game. In a suite. With food and beer. Hopefully there will be scantily-clad wenches. To catch my balls. <-- channeling inner Urizen.

Saturday, I fly off to Pennsylvania. Joy & fun to be had with family & friends. Staying for the weekend before ...

MONDAY - Job Interview with HP in Camp Hill. *crosses fingers* Maybe another interview with PA Blue Cross *crosses toes* MAYBE job offer within a week... (PLEASE let me move back before the holidays).

Then, fly back Monday night, and back to the grind here. But hopefully not for much longer.

So...it's morning. I want to go back to bed.

Good luck on those interviews, Ashe!

I am beginning to think we need a Jason Bulmahn demands thread to go with the James Jacobs question thread.

Same thing every play test.

Well, V.G. had a busy morning, throwing up some ideas on the board and tossing around some insightful comments. Meanwhile, everyone turned out for Robert's retirement ceremony, where pictures were taken, speeches were made, and free cake was given! And, across town, a crazy man dressed in amn aging, yellowed, canine outfit....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

Slept pretty much for 15 hours last night. Went to bed at just after 7pm. Woke up at 2.30am to go to work. Fell asleep driving to work and ran off the road (don't worry, I missed that phone pole by at least a metre). Went back home and back to bed by 3.30am. Woke up at 10.30am.
At least today I haven't been hacking up blood in my mucus like I was all day yesterday.

Geez, flash.... with that going on, you need to not be at work. Don't they give you sick time? That's crazy! Take care and get better fast.

Jason has said on numerous posts that he didn't want to divulge any of their reasoning for the magus's design so as not to skew any perceptions. I've seen at least two threads demanding that Jason discuss Paizo's design decisions. :S

Boggles the mind doesn't it? Not to mention the I have lost faith in Paizo's ability to design rules based off of this playtest class.

EDIT: Oh, and I think you should just drop the class because not everyone likes it.

That's a pretty awesome idea. Maybe wait for JJ to get tired of his thread and give up on it and then start in with the Jason I demand you fix thread.

Thanks All. I am feeling slightly better (ie. was able to eat some food today and no blood in mucus for the whole day!). However the downside of 15 hours sleep is that it's now 3am and I'm still awake (although I am going to bed in a few minutes). :(

With the exception of Myrtle Beach, was able to roll a d20 again for the first time since last year Tuesday night. It's essentially a beer & pretzels game where it's mostly combat 'clear the dungeon and grab the loot' style game where you can test out the classes / PrCs / feats you never got to from the various WotC splats. A Swordsage with the Island of Blades stance and Vexing Flanker and Combat Reflexes is essentially a flankbot. Up against zombies, ghasts, and shadows. Thank goodness someone memorized Magic Weapon or we'd been hosed against the shadows.

I still want to get into a more serious story-telling plot-driven campaign, though. *cough*

Frozen brainnnnnsssss.......?

It struck me as ironic yesterday that The Zombie has Life cereal, but I was thinking about it this morning (having nothing better to do) and realized there is a great deal of discrimination in the cereal world. Vampires have Count Chocula, flesh golems have Frankenberry, ghosts have Booberry, even aliens have Quisp, but nobody makes a zombie cereal! Why not? This must be rectified!

So I just finished watching Jennifer's Body and I was wondering, and wanted to know if anyone else felt the same. Did Diablo Cody try to channel Joss Whedon and it not work? Or is it just poor acting because some of the lines were funny just no timing.

Diablo Cody was behind it? There were some elements of the movie that I could see as someone attempting to *shudder* out-Whedon Whedon, despite the fact that it was entertaining(or at least laughably bad) in (frightfully few)parts. On the whole, the movie was unfortunate, and I don't mean that in a negative sense- she should have tried to make the movie unique instead of going in the Buffy direction.

I really liked the first part, then about 40+ minutes in(possibly less), it truly started to suck, and I kept on watching only in the hopes that I'd get to see Seyfreid and Fox make out.

I felt much the same way. Although I like Whedon in general I am not naive enough to think that everything the man did was golden, I am looking at you Alien 4. But yeah it sure seemed like she tried to summon him for this movie and did a worse job then he does on a bad day.
