How have I not heard that song before?

On a completely unrelated note, anyone else here hear about Fiasco? You can read about it yourself, but it looks like it would be fun with a group of four to five interesting people with good imaginations.

You can find a preview of the rules that contains all the actual rules of the game on their site, along with ten things to make good settings from.

We have four to five interesting people with good imaginations here.

You can figure out what I'm implying.

Good to see my post served a purpose.

No way man! One of those little bastards tried to bite me when I was younger. They were letting it run loose in a pet store I was visiting, and it tried to bite my leg. Needless to say, I kicked that little f@+%er halfway across the damn store.

Then again, the Beastmaster did have two pet ferrets....

I've always been attracted to them. Of course I also like hedgehogs and rabbits and pygmy goats and...

So I just finished watching Jennifer's Body and I was wondering, and wanted to know if anyone else felt the same. Did Diablo Cody try to channel Joss Whedon and it not work? Or is it just poor acting because some of the lines were funny just no timing.

So... I apparently have a throat infection (Pharyngitis). My throat is swollen and I can't eat. Plus I have killer headaches and my body is all tender and weak (probably from lack of food). :/
Slept pretty much for 15 hours last night. Went to bed at just after 7pm. Woke up at 2.30am to go to work. Fell asleep driving to work and ran off the road (don't worry, I missed that phone pole by at least a metre). Went back home and back to bed by 3.30am. Woke up at 10.30am.
At least today I haven't been hacking up blood in my mucus like I was all day yesterday.

So... I managed to get a job at an indie radio station as a DJ. My show is on Monday nights, and I need to get a flyer design in to the AD by Saturday. I don't have a name for the show yet.

I NEED IDEAS.

I'll be playing a weird mix of music (basically the same stuff I post on the "What Music Are You Listening To As You Browse The Messageboards?" thread), along with a little bit of music history from me, and some promotion of other shows and podcasts.

Again,

I NEED IDEAS.

Please help.

Very cool. I'll let you use the name of my radio show from college:

Gonzo Music Show!

Of course, I also tried to do the show in my Gonzo muppet voice, but after two weeks of causing laryngitis, I went back to my normal voice.

Work today and then its off to beautiful Santa Fe, NM for St. John's College's parent weekend.

I get to spend some time with my oldest son and also discuss Herman Melville's Benito Cereno at the parent Seminar on Saturday morning. It is an opportunity for parents to experience the "seminar" method of teaching which is at the core of St. John's Great Books curriculum.

Diablo Cody was behind it? There were some elements of the movie that I could see as someone attempting to *shudder* out-Whedon Whedon, despite the fact that it was entertaining(or at least laughably bad) in (frightfully few)parts. On the whole, the movie was unfortunate, and I don't mean that in a negative sense- she should have tried to make the movie unique instead of going in the Buffy direction.

I really liked the first part, then about 40+ minutes in(possibly less), it truly started to suck, and I kept on watching only in the hopes that I'd get to see Seyfreid and Fox make out.
