After an hour or so of entering changes on the Advanced Player's Guide, now seemed like a good time to, you know, save. And while my computer slogs through its work on this HUGE file, I thought I'd update folks on my progress (and will keep on throughout the morning).

Chapter 5 Spells: changes entered up through gravity bow. Right next to James's favorite picture in the book, where Droogami's licking Lini's face as she casts.

An hour inbetween saves? You're a brave man!

Liberty's Edge

So, off the top of your head, about how many new spells would you say are in the APG?

Sovereign Court

I love Incopy but the newest version has been buggy for me.

SAVE! Up through swarm skin. Things are going WAY faster than I expected - for a change.

Gene wrote:

Like a billion. (Or as many as fit in a 70 page chapter.)

Love it!

Can't wait for that picture!

What does gravity bow do?

70 pages ... that's approx 300 new spells. Well played !

swarm skin!

I think i just passed out for a second with excitement!

Wes is a hype machine lately between this and all the Gamemastery Guide stuff!

Shadow Lodge

Can you cast swarm skin on some one else?

Key phrase to dismiss the spell: "Pull yourself together or I'm getting the Raid!"

Scarab Sages

70...pages...of new spells? Probably a ton of new feats too? Class abilities? Etc.?

My free time is going to tank when this book comes out and I get to add it up to the Archives. o.o

Sounds like a pretty dumb spell to me. Every time I bow, it's a gravity bow. Now an anti-gravity bow, that would be special.

Contributor

Phew! Done copyfitting spells (like 3 hours later). Now in a half an hour we should have a print out!

The extra large coffee is starting to take it shuddersome toll. 0_o

Also, the theme to Beetlejuice is not helping my stress level.

On to proofing #37's adventure until the next fire.

And no, swarm skin is just for you.

Still!

Swarm skin!

SWARM!
SKIN!

Out of curiosity, are any of the new spells going on the new character classes' spell lists? I.e., more spells for the Alchemist, Summoner, etc.?

Contributor

Monday Morning Meeting Complete! All balls properly busted. Back into the fray!

Hellscapes shaping up.

PF #36 and #37 almost complete.

Before They Were Giants getting close too.

I'm building the APG TOC ASAP FYI.

Monday is usually Sarah, James, and my day for Indian food. Already hungry. This must be addressed soon.

Yup! Spells for everyone!

First snafu of the day! "You cannot open this file because you have this file open."

Thanks computer. Thanks.

+1 Computer fail!

I like this naughty preview... ON top of classes like Inquisitor, Oracle, and Witch... and as-yet-unpreviewed variants for Core Base Classes (when? when?)... This APG seems set for a place on my shelves.

(Thought: Why not offer a combo special of the new (Errata'd) printing of the Core Rules AND the APG for a special price, or including some staff favorite mini's, or something...?)

Contributor

Indian it was!

Then more spells. Somehow got all those changes in without changing the layout - from absorbing touch to wrathful mantle - thank jeebus.

Starting to run out of things to do on this book. Already got Patrick jamming on scouring PF scenarios and modules for locations to go on the big campaign setting poster map. Sutter's putting together a very special litigable blog post for tomorrow concerning our (near but) out of office weekend hi-jinks.

Could go watch Erik prowl-edit in his office like a tapir at the zoo.

And here comes Sean with more spells stuff. JOY. Big chapters means lots of last minute checking.

And Cosmo is outside my window... outside my outside window... for some reason.

Exciting stuff.

And Cosmo: good work!

If he's saying "Let me in, let me in..." while scratching the window and floating outside it, you need a handy cross.

While TOC *probably* means 'Table of Contents,' there are so many other meanings for that acronym that could be fun; like Tournament of Champions or Trastorno Obsesivo Compulsivo.

The folowing is an exerpt from the mind of a Pathfinder Editor:

A Pint Glass Tumbler Of Cognac!
Aftershock, Sambucca And Pils!

...F*** Your Invisible!

PFFFFFHHHHHHH!! Kidnapped going through the final proofs of 5 of the APG chapters. Final checks and changes tomorrow. Might actually pull this off.

Starting to realize there's going to be stuff to do after these con season releases... which seems weird. Sutter thought we were just going to be done after these and would come back next year as seniors. Don't think it's going to be that easy.

Oh GOD. James is here now...

If by my bed you mean Sarah's bed...

We just got an AWESOME sketch in for one of my new devils for Bestiary II. It's neat. And gross. And neat. If you like things that regurgitate.

This is how rumors get started.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks for the running updates Wes.

Did you ever figure out what Cosmo was up to?

Misprint, he meant "Warms Skin"

Dispels a pesky chill like magic with a reasonable 1,000gp material component.

Shadow Lodge

No no no no TM. He means Swarm's Kin, a spell that turns you into the cousin of a locust in a hive mind swarm.

That's an affirmative :)

I almost lost my mind just coming up with all kinds of new spells, feats, magic items, alchemical items, special materials, gear, weapons, armor... And I'm sure there's a few things I missed from that list too.

Archiving them to boot? I'd have to change my name to Pinky and let the Brain do all my thinking from then on.

Forgot to mention I went home yesterday. Erik might not have.

Putting in his changes for the classes chapter as he cranks through the final pages.

Getting really close. Editors checking every page number and table number now. Erik prowl-editing like a mad man.

Getting close. Might actually pull this off...

I want more information about "prowl-editing." That sounds even scarier than Erik under normal circumstances.

Layout changes for both druid and fighter went faster than cleric alone. Bloody subdomains.

Scary moans and muttering in the halls.

Down to paladins now. FYI: our "Hospitaler" has one "L."

Caught up with Erik. Grimly waiting.

The index is big and needs to be smaller. Judy's tackling that.

Sean's sitting on the floor checking page numbers.

I'm thinking Styrian, my bard in James's Sandpoint game, might take up the bard archetype of either archivist or detective.

The way he ooo's and ahhhh's over tomes and passages, archivist...definitely! ;-)

That's too bad.

Am I the only person who wonders what Wes' grim face looks like?

I hope for the best for your indexer. We send our books to freelancers to index because the process is so tedious (though they make an awesome hourly wage).
