Apparently, it is true, and will be a part of Mutants and Masterminds.

I must admit, I'd pick one copy for sure, even though it's unlikely I'll ever have time to play.

News is from EN World.

Not good with links/ This new tech is too good for me :)

But check Green ronin home page. They confirm it.

Silver Crusade

POW!

If they can put out something untainted by the Crisis drama of the past four or five years and avoid interference from Dan DiDio, I am very much looking forward to what they put out.

Damn, now I want to form a JLI-themed group.

I'm looking forward to playing Matter-Eater Lad.

I'll probably start posting on the Thinktank again. You'll find me over there posting as Nighthunter.

Thats a matter of opinion. SAGA Edition for marvel was great. Magic charecters got 67.3 percent of all the powers. It was easy to play and fun. Granted my dm had to explain that as a hero I couldn't disintegrate the villians and would be hunted as a villian if I kept on but that was fun too.

I am still looking for those cards in case anybody has them.

Liberty's Edge

I am hoping the Heroes and Villains books can be used with M&M 2nd Ed, rather than having to buy the Heroes Handbook. TBH I am not really that bothered about the DC Universe, Batman is all that really appeals to me. I would love to get a Marvel sourcebook for M&M though!

Sovereign Court

My one worry about this, is how are they going to keep printing quality products with all these licenses ?

because :

A Game of Thrones
Dragon Age
DC ...

I guess production times will rise yet again ... and that's not so good, at least IMO.

I'm still waiting for this AGOT campaign guide I preordered like ... wait maybe not quite as much as Logue's Razor Coast, but still ...

(friendly teasing comment - you guys rock !)

How similiar is M&M 1st Edition to M&M 2nd Edition?

About the same difference as between 3.0 and 3.5, I think. Some products can be used with both versions with minor or no tweaks and some material needs major fixing and updating to be used properly.

Oh, and if you are asking because you have 1st and not 2nd edition, keep in mind also that, from the talk on the M&M forums, there may be changes and updates to the 2nd edition rules in the DC source books that will make it even less compatible with 1st ed M&M, making these new books more like a 2.5 ed of the M&M rules.

WOW!

As the DCU is my comic book universe of choice for reading, I am really excited by the fact that the DCU will be in the RPG world again. (I will very likely get into this, despite my attempts at staying with one RPG game/setting/world... what-have-you). I'm already collecting a fair chunk of the comics... I thoroughly enjoyed Blackest Night and I am enjoying the follow up series Brightest Day. The new Flash monthly (returning Barry Allen to regular monthly comic goodness, thank you Geoff Johns) seems very promising, Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps continue to Wow! me, Justice League of America is another good one (although I'm wondering what James Robinson is doing sometimes), and since someone mentioned Matter-Eater Lad, I can't wait for Paul Levitz to launch the new Legion of Super-Heroes monthly.

All in all a very exciting time for RPG's and comic book fans alike.

Cheers!

By the way... I know it wasn't mentioned/announced but is there by chance a GM Screen coming for the DC Adventures RPG? I think that would be just AWESOME... especially if Green Ronin could get someone like George Perez, Ivan Reis, or some other great comic book artist to do a nice 4 panel GM screen. Anyone? Hmm?

Thanks in advance,

Dean

Come join a game of Legion of Super-Heroes and you can play him. (See Legion of Super-Heroes thread under comics).

I think I'm in enough games for the moment, but thanks for asking! :-)
