Liberty's Edge

We're in the burbs just north of St. Louis. It's actually only 93* right now, but the heat index is 105*. Blasted humidity!

Goooooooooooood morning Fawlty Towers!!!!!!

Finally saw all of season 2 of True Blood. The nightmares I had last night were totally worth it!

Trying to move up the weekly game to Tuesdays tonight- Here's hoping this becomes a regular thing because I think it might work better with my schedule than Thursdays, that, while a beloved tradition, turned me into a zombie on the day that I started the second job.

In terms of Freehold stuff, methinks I am finally done with the optional stuff for the fightan man. I'll post a link later, and as usual I run on the opinions of others, so be sure to e-mail me/post your thoughts.

I LOVE MAENADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love maenads too, but I think it could have been done better. They went waaaaaaaaaaay too far in the pseudo-secret devil worshipper direction for me. I would have greatly preferred a more gradual slide into near-meaningless chaos than the (un)subtle "if it feels good, it's bad" trope.

Ah. I'm in Arizona (can't say AZ as that would invite bad jokes) and have the exact opposite problem, it actually is ~110* out here ;P I do feel for you, I grew up in coastal Texas where the humidity was nearly as bad.

Dark Archive

For me the best character in that series was Godric, too bad we won't see more of him.

Liberty's Edge

It's normally not so bad, if the temperature would stay constant that'd be great. This fluctuating up and down is what takes its toll on us here. We'll have one day that's gorgeous in the 80's, nice and dry. It will be followed by a day of high humidity in the upper 90's that swamps the air.

Thank you all for the well wishes on the house. It is truly wonderful to be at this point in my life. I know I will be cursing it later, but I am rather enjoying the warm, fuzzy feeling for the moment. :)

To answer some of the other questions, fortunately no dishes or pieces of the house were harmed in the process of "making it feel like home."

HOUSE PAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!

Well, I was stuck in the friend box this weekend by the one I really wanted.

This is going to be a rough week.

Seriously, I haven't felt this bad about rejection probably since 7th grade. f#*@.

Crap! Sorry to hear that. That has to be the worst box to be in.

If you were closer I'd buy you a drink. I truly, truly, truly, truly, truly, truly, truly hate the friend zone because of the increased importance women put on the term and position in life as opposed to men.

Solnes says that she knows who gave Sebastian his Bella Sara plushie. I now want to know who did it! Tell me Solnes! Please tell me!

Some of the streets around here are buckling because of the heat.

Nah. You post pretty pictures. You're one of a few people who do that. The others' pictures are...disturbing.

I have no idea what you're talking about :)

Know that feeling. It would certainly explain the near-constant construction going on in Phoenix.

I've been trying to get a hold of the people I'm going to be staying with for the next week and a half, and they aren't answering their phone. I'm checked out of my room, so all I can do is sit around in the hotel lobby and wait for them to discover the voicemail messages I left. F#%*ing great.

We were mostly busy grousing and being jealous. Oh, and keeping up with the blogs and pics, which were awesome! Thanks to everyone who shared pics.

We missed you guys though! Hoping that more of us can be there next year! Enough to take up two or three tables at the banquet! I will post our pics tonight or tomorrow. :)

Sorry about that, Shiny.

I'm two people down at my house, as my daughter went back to spend her mom's b-day with her and my wife's cousin went back to DC.

HD the friend box can be escaped from, but damn, it can take a long time. And perhaps booze. And other women. Wait, does she yet know you can be a jerk? ;)

So, how obnoxious are we permitted to be over this engagement thing?

I care.

I guess I just needed to gripe. They just called me about a minute ago, and I'm headed out. No worries.

Again, same thing happened to me once. I felt like a dope as the people were legitimately stuck in traffic and these were the days before cell phones were commonplace. I ALMOST got away with sneaking into their bedroom and deleting my hysterical voicemail messages....almost. Ah, awkward memories.

Soooooooo bored...... I think I'm gonna go chase the cat up and down the stairs ....... here kitty kitty kitty.

AWRIGHT Folks, I'm off for now. Leaving on a down note as it seems the weekly game has been postponed...yet again. Here's hoping we get our crap together sometime soon. May ride over to Queens again to drop off True Blood DVDs, provided it does not rain too bad.

Very good, Shiny. Further proof that griping actually does change the universe?

There is very little that can't be fixed by griping, hitting, BttH/CttH or duct tape.

Well, guys, I had just scanned and talked to the folks who posted something in the last hours. Honest. You two are aces, I meant no disrespect by leaving you out of my early-morning greeting (or any other FAWTLiers for that matter).

*sigh*

I gotta leave my greetings more general ...

*blink*
