Its all good until bedtime. Then the kids want to fight and throw tantrums. Kinda breaks my concentration or line of thought. They have been better the past few weeks. It just helps me to outline what I have to do, then I cross it off and I can visibly see the list getting shorter. :)

My partner's brother is getting married in 2 weeks, and my partner is the best man. We've been trying to figure out what to do for a pre-wedding get together (the groom in question would despise a "bachelor party", but we feel like we should do something.)
It's not going to be a surprise, because the groom hates surprises, so we had been thinking about just going out for drinks with some of his friends, male family members, etc, but he (the groom) thinks that would be awkward, and wants to make it a dinner.
That's all well and good, but we're paying for it. So looking at the guest list, at a nice restaurant, this is going to wind up costing $400-$500. What a pain in the neck.
The worst part is, the bride heard about it and insists we invite the maid-of-honor's boyfriend. Except that nobody can stand him. He is going to show up in jeans with paint on them, unshaven and smelling like a litter box (he doesn't shower or wash his clothes - ever), and will, based on prior experience, order as much expensive food as he can knowing that someone else is paying for it. Seriously, he's that douche who orders two entrees and takes one home as "leftovers" because it's on someone else's dime. He's done it before.
Anyway, just venting here.
Can you tell him the dinner is someplace else? :)

Morning all.
A few weeks (4) ago I hurt my thumb in karate. I thought it was just a sprain so I didn't think much about it. It didn't really get better after two weeks so I went to the doctor. She takes an x-ray and didn't see anything so she said that is was probably just a fracture and "don't use your primary thumb for a couple of weeks". (Yeah right.) She sends the x-ray off to a radiologist (sp?) and they said that I needed to see a specialist. It turns out I have an Avulsion Fracture. Basically the tendon pulled a bit of the bone off of my thumb. Ow! So now I get to wear a brace/cast for the next four weeks. [sarcasm]Yeah me![/sarcasm]
I got a few pictures this last weekend. It snowed pretty hard though and I was concerned about getting the camera too wet so I didn't take as many as I would have liked. I'll try and post them tonight.
Now off to do a few more things (work-wise) before working on my character.
