As I did last year, I just want to say it was fun competing against you all. It felt great to practice something that I love. May the best entries enlighten us all.

I don't have any expectations of making the top 32, but I will still enjoy this contest, just like the previous 2 years. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the judges chose as the best items.

Good luck to those who advance, and I hope everyone who hasn't advanced still gains something from participating.

In 90 minutes I got 5 players who are going to try to take on Mokmurian and his army of thugs for a second time. Then... after a good night's sleep, I'll see about this here contest.

This was fun, I doubt mine got into the top 32, but I'm ok with it, I've got a killer one for next year already on the go, haha..

Little did the top 32 know that someone had cast explosive runes on their announcement e-mails. Alas, this forced round two of the contest to be opened to all contestants, much to the dismay of the judges...

I want to echo the wishes of "Good Luck!" to everyone who entered. I have seen the items, but I don't know *WHO* advanced. So it is just as exciting for us judges as it is for you guys!

Also, I posted a little thought in this thread:

I am always impressed by the Paizo community

The announcement of the top 32 has the chance to cause some hurt feelings. Please keep that in mind. Those who advance, be gracious. Those who didn't, be supportive and then come on in to the "Clark give me feedback" thread and we can see what advice I have to help you next year.

I am really nervous now. My item was very practical IMHO, but I did not put a lot of creative juice behind it. I am hoping the practicality compensated for the lack of flavor.

It will be a learning experience for me no matter what happens. Good luck my fellow paizoites.

I actually wrote mine from a different perspective. I tried to think of what might make a good item to hang a module around. Granted, the end result was not combat oriented and slightly impractical....but I like to think the coolness factor compensated for that.

The real trick was keeping it under 300 words and still managing to write enough detail to make someone go 'hey, that's neat!'


Thanks to the judges for their time and consideration, and to Vic for holding the messageboards together. (Do you hear the servers shudder every time one of us clicks a link?)

To my fellow contestants: please give me good stuff to fill the rest of that dragon horde up with for this week's game. I look forward to seeing the items - Top 32 and otherwise.
