What are you guys meaning by traits. The optional class abilities from the campaign setting?
My guess would be the traits that are in the Second Darkness players guide.
Traits, from the Adventure paths, and available from the website for free...
Looking pretty tasty (really should read more of the books I have :P). Sure, we'll try them out. We'll go with the suggested starting with 2 at character creation.
cool, I'll be able to flesh him out even better with a couple traits... =D
In my home game I use the point buy system with the advantage/flaw system from RPGNow, modified to my system. So the entire character creation progress is done with points, should be pretty interesting...so take flaws to get more points, take cool advantages, etc.
All right, added the two traits, so I believe I have everything all done.

We do start off with max start gold, so not entirely penniless.
Check the game thread Onyx, our characters are broke at the start, so better spend it all, or you'll have nothing...
You'd have whatever gold and equipment you bought. Maybe the gold is stashed under a floorboard at home or whatever.
The penniless part was the take from selling the darkwood. There's really nothing left to give back to the lumber consortium.

It was all for flavor. Yes, I know there are paladins/rangers/etc., and the horse shouldn't have just died off like that; or assuming the characters would be foolish with the money they were entrusted with. I've already taken into account the party being late, and the results of it.

I think your going to find out that this is a very different type of paladin. Not your traditional knight in shiny armor, but a gruff half ord axe weilding brute with a holy purpose. He is Lawful and Good but the laws of the orc tribes are vastly different than human society. I hope to get a backstory posted up soon so everyone can see the interesting character that is developing in my head.

Hi guys, sorry I've been so quiet. I've been quite unwell and had a trip to the doctors and my husband has been really bad - he's injured his back and as such I'm helping him a lot and tend not to have the time to sit and work on a good post. Today is our wedding anniversary and we have a trip to the doctors planned to get the wound looked at whilst we await an appointment for him to have surgery. We are having dire luck this year!
I promise to get back to posting asap!

No worries! Health is more important. I just finished 5 days of 12 hour shifts in the ER, and I'm exhausted. So I may go a day or two without posting myself!

Things petered out again...looks like I have too much RPing, and not enough action. It looks like I may have only 1 player left...not really enough to keep going. Looking for 3 more at the moment.
New characters would be residents of Falcon's Hollow...can work out backstories later.

I was told you're looking for new players for this PBP-what does the party look like now? I want to make a character that would fit but I also want to make something that excites me too!
I am pretty open to what I can play...just need a base to work from.
If I get the info, I'll try to make a character tonight or tomorrow morning. I have to read over what has already happened in the game so far...I haven't read the Darkmoon Vale stuff yet-so I don't know the adventure.

I didn't see much in the book about the guard dog. While I wouldn't take it into dungeons or obviously dangerous places, what's the possibility of me having a little companion?

Never mind, I changed my mind about the guard dog. Maybe the released version will have rules about that.

Since the game thread is on the verge of dying, I'd say jump in and post (rp) to your heart's content... lol. It's the fastest way I know to get a thread active again.
