I live in North East Nevada. Bought my ticket tonight. Will drive by car to make the Paizo Pilgrimage.

I live in Florida and will be travelling by car.

Of course, I'll be doing that a month early and won't be coming back, but those are just the sacrifices I'll have to make.

In terms of distance, I'll be coming from New York City.

In terms of how far I'll go to pay for it, I'll go to the ends of the earth. Last night I offered to clean the house/apartment of no less than three Paizo employees in order to sleep on their floors/couches and all three declined. James said it was too messy and that I'd never be able to actually clean it, Erik said it was tempting but too creepy, and Vic said to stick with paypal. But that obviously isn't working because everyone who reads that thread has a heart of solid Abyssal basalt. 53rd & 3rd is starting to look appealing.

Now THAT'S going too far!

Just a 5-6 hour drive up I-5 from Eugene, OR for me. I'm hoping to carpool at least part of the way just for company, not sure if any Portlanders are going.

If I can't carpool, I may splurge some miles and fly it.

Dark Archive

Would love a week or so off, and an amphibious car that would hold the Mrs, and chidlers to drive it.....Don't think it's gunna happen though.....

I'm here...

Sovereign Court

Just a five hour drive from the Lentil Capital of the World for me. PaizoCon is my birthday present this year -- I'm so excited!! I'll miss the laid-back nature we had last year, but it's still going to be a blast.

Grand Lodge

I'm currently looking into flights from Toronto. Curses! Not enough reward miles. Hmmm.. still possible.

Liberty's Edge

Lawrence, Ks, The family and I are traveling via Prius.

If i manage to get the money together...i'll be travelling from london.

Just and hour and a half drive from Olympia south of Seattle. Ah, the benefits of living in God's Country.

I sense an announcement coming on...

I'm coming from FL, me and Ross are making the exact same trip just at different times. I'll only be coming for the actual con. And I'll have to fly in on my birthday, thanks paizo *rolls eyes*.

My wife and I are coming from Montana, a 9 hour drive, all freeway.

Scarab Sages

only 1,200 miles for me... almost straight North.

Liberty's Edge

Fray,

Where are you coming from? I'm strongly considering figuring out what I need to do in order to make the trip with my gf, and carpooling would make that much more feasable(thinking about trying to get some of the rest of my gaming group in too, but thats less likely). I'm down in the San Diego area.

Liberty's Edge

Gencon is the only con I would leave the NY/NJ metro area for. I went to E3 twice, but I was living in Phoenix at the time so it was only a $40 flight.

I love Paizo and want to go, I just wish they'd move their offices to the east coast, it's totally worth the double cost of living!

I'm taking a train up from Klamath Falls, Or. Normally I'd drive, but odds are I won't have a dependable enough car at the time, so it's the train for me.

But, not only is a train cost effective, but it's a nice, leisurely way to travel to a gaming convention, I think. You know, use the anachronism of it for some mood.

Plus, the twelve hour ride home will be a nice way to catch up on some of my lost sleep. :D

I think I'll walk.

Geeze I really want to go to this, but the cost is quickly piling up, cheapest flight I found from FL was $250, then the 4 night stay even if I find 3 roomies is going to be $200, then theres getting to the hotel and back to the airport approx. $60, then there's the tickets themselves $35, then that doesn't include food while I'm there at the best we're talking $50-$100s for food. so I'm looking at $600 at a time when I have to buy a new car because I got hit by a truck on my scooter, and I got my hours cut because our business is struggling. and to make it worse of all, it's the day after my friggen birthday so if I don't go I'm gonna be all mopey on my b-day. I don't know if I can make it at this point and I just read that tickets are allready half sold out.

And I'm still going to try and make this work, that's how far I'm willing to go.

I'll be driving from Bishop, California, 4 hours north to Reno, Nevada, then flying in from there. I considered driving to save money, but the flight was only $100 each way. I think gas from the drive would cost as much or more.

Unemployed Mexican
1 usd = 15.5 pesos The most expensive rate EVER
I live in Guadalajara, (halfway in the middle of Mex, approx)

I'm trying to draw my way up to PaizoCon... I have landed a few lucky gigs, but I'm still far from the whole deal, the Visa alone is $100, and of course, I may not get it... ($100 down the drain). So, if you want to help me up there, I'm open for commissions! I'll draw even 4e stuff for you for a bit of cash, or maybe I'll set up a fund raising thread as other already have :P but I heard its not a very good biz...

So, try and best that! :P

Currently looking at the road trip from Calgary, AB... with a few buds it shouldn't be too bad...

Scarab Sages

I will be driving 10-15 minutes from my house in Redmond.

Hooray life in WA.

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

Probably 20-25 minutes from West Seattle, depending on traffic and time of day.

I'll probably wake up in my hotel room at the Coast Bellevue and walk downstairs.

Just from Arlington (DFW) Texas, flying ($280 with all taxes and fees).

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

I'll be flying in from New Orleans, LA.

Dulles Airport (Washington DC) to SeaTac via the friendly skies, just got tickets for myself and my Far Better Half.

A.H.C.!

The Exchange

I'll be coming up from Pacific, WA, only 45 mins away. ;)

We just bought tickets from Helsinki. Now to figure out what to do in Seattle area for few days before THE weekend... Are there any interesting ideas floating around (anything else but those jammed major tourist attractions)?

Contributor, RPG Superstar 2009, RPG Superstar Judgernaut

I'll be venturing over from Charlotte, NC. USAir flight = $350 round trip. All in all, it's less expensive to attend PaizoCon than GenCon for me. Go figure.

I was thinking about driving, but I do not have the time. Plus gas would be over half of a plane ticket and the plane is only 3 hours.

Maybe next year. :)
We could grab Sebastian and have a road trip. :)

Sovereign Court

All the way from Prague, Czech Republic for me!

I thought I might be the farthest away, but it looks like someone's coming from Helsinki, so I might be a little closer. :(
Then again, Helsinki is farther north, and the earth is smaller up there, so I might be the farthest after all! :)

Hey Rob, Where u staying if u r going to the con? I am talking Amy into letting me come....I am looking to try and share a room.....

Depending on your tastes... Our local weekly alternative newspaper, The Stranger, puts up a list of cool things to do/see every week right here.

That link won't be much use to you until the week of the con, but that is and will be a good place to go and find out what kind of non-gamer stuff is going on in the Seattle area. There are also areas on that website with local restaurant reviews, clubs, art installations, plays, readings, etc. There is always something going on in Seattle.

Gawd, I love this town. :)

I would comfortably come from Tempe, but as I am basically not allowed to take vacation from basically April through July (it's our regs cycle), I can't sneak up to Washington for 4 days in June unless you can get an MD to sign off that I was to sick to travel to work. But I might be able to get to GenCon this year if we can finish by August.

Spokane, WA. So either a six hour drive, or a half hour plane ride, depending on which way we decide to travel.

I'd drive all the way from NE Iowa; that is, I would if I had car.

Liberty's Edge Contributor

I've got to drive all the way from 16th Street. That's at least a couple of miles!

Sovereign Court Contributor

Flying in from NY.
