Clinton Boomer is Evil

Jus' sayin'.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with development on his scenario. Nope. Not at all. No way.

But you all should know he's evil incarnate.

Liberty's Edge

Yeah, but Lawful, Neutral or Chaotic evil?

Mothman wrote:

His chaos is only held in check by the binding seals engraved into his flesh.

Clinton's brand of evil recognizes neither law nor chaos and is unfamiliar with the term "neutral." It is the black ichor that dwells in the hearts of men. It is pure, unadulterated, vile, darkness.

And this has nothing WHATSOEVER to do with his scenario. Nope.

Well, the man does have a (reversed for warding, IIRC) Yellow Sign tattoo...

Poor Josh,
You saw the W&W video didn't you...

<sad sigh>

You're losing your touch Josh. You used to tantalise us with hints of things that we didn't know about. Having voted for (and read through) the entries for the first RPGSuperstar contest I already know that Clinton Boomer, the man responsible for an insane efreeti villain and 'the hunger that moves' is evil.

Although there *may* be some posters out there reading this thread who are unaware of what lurks in the depths of Clinton Boomer's soul. And to them, I would advise that they go and read his Superstar entries. And to be afraid- yes very afraid- if you intend to run a PC through any adventure written by him (unless he was operating in 'design a single encounter' mode when he wrote it, and even then expect much wackiness and horrible dilemmas).

Scarab Sages

I actually feel rather safe being from England.

It seems that the thousands of miles distance is needed to protect one-self from the insanity that is known only as The Boomer.

Cheers! :D

Grand Lodge

What do you mean?

At GenCon, he seemed no more evil than Daigle,
or Hitchcock,
or Sir Wulf,
or Kortes,
or Logue.....

Ah, now I see.

Dark Archive

Ah, but Clinton isn't the end of the spectrum.

The heirarchy goes something like;

Lawful Evil < Chaotic Evil < Neutral Evil < Book of Vile Darkness Evil < Celebrity Skank Pop Divas < People whose Belly Buttons Stick Out, Instead of In < Clinton Boomer < Lovecraftian Elder Thing Gibbering to Itself in the Dark Places Between the Stars < Reality Television < Hitler's Brain-Eating Zombie Corpse < Nick Logue < Cubs Fans

Scarab Sages

I :twinkie symbol: Boomer!

Set,
Lawful Evil < Chaotic Evil < Neutral Evil < Book of Vile Darkness Evil < Celebrity Skank Pop Divas < People whose Belly Buttons Stick Out, Instead of In < Clinton Boomer < Lovecraftian Elder Thing Gibbering to Itself in the Dark Places Between the Stars < Reality Television < Hitler's Brain-Eating Zombie Corpse < Nick Logue < Raiders Fans

fixed that for you

It was a trap. I don't like any sports where people keep their clothes on, actually. The Cubs just seemed like low-hanging fruit.

Silly Josh, Boomer hasn't written a scenario yet. I'm looking at the full list on the Pathfinder Society Scenarios page and it's not there. You're clearly suffering from a concussion or the lingering effects of working with Nick Logue for months on end. Perhaps you'd best go lie down and let less delusional folk take over.

Spoiler:
From now on, all of Josh's malicious teasing will be treated as the symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia and will thus have no lingering effect on my general level of anticipation.

Maybe Josh is telling us that Clinton Boomer has won the open calls for PFS #19, #20, and #21 (even though the last has yet to be announced), although it surprises me to learn that Boomer managed to keep within a 750 word limit*.

Although if Boomer can manage to keep within a word-count there is hope for me yet. Well hope, that is to say, in the completing a presentation within word count department; evidently there's not much hope for anyone else to successfully apply for PFS assignments apart from Christine Schneider, Rob, and a handful of others. :D

*Hmmm. The training on the Campaign Setting writing may have helped him manage word-count effectively.

The rural signs are the ones that impinge mostly on one's sanity... Thankfully I live slap-bang in the centre of arguably the largest European city!

The scenario that won me the coveted EVIL metit-badge from Josh Frost is now available!

Dig it!

The Third Riddle

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2013

I haven't read the adventure yet, but until I do, I believe that Boomer is no less evil than I am. Consider:

- I killed my whole party in my Iron DM win.
- Last year I sent my Iron DM party out to destroy the entire world (big bunch of SOFTIES!).
- For my first time as PFS GM, I sold the entire party into slavery and gave two of them leprosy.
- I made Josh sit through another 'violence towards children meeting'.
- Have you read about the Ascension of the Drow characters? Ask around for people who played a Sardavic.

Follow that up with Boomer bought me a Dew. How bad can the guy be, really?

Ah, Iron DM. Have played this past year and a couple of years ago (where Steven "Ancient Sensei" Helt was my DM...this year it was the BUTCHER...), I have to say, I'm tempted to attend GenCon just on Saturday for Iron DM. There's never more than a handful of women in a testosterone-heavy room, but damn, it's a lot of fun. BONZAI!

Oh, now, wait a second ... I didn't say that I was as evil as YOU ARE!

Come on, man! There's wicked-bad, there's NASTY - and then there's Helt.

*grin*

Weaklings

...all of you.

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2013

Because Booms is my friend, I will allow the possibility that he stole the Dew from Josh Frost DURING a meeting about violence towards children, and then gave it to me to prove the theft was not based out of need.

Taking another man's Dew IS evil.

Which table were you at? Who did you play? Did your adventure include the following elements assigned just before the adventure?*

minotaurs magma flashbacks frost giants
mistaken identity funerals weddings dragons
time travel

*

Spoiler:
admittedly, i knew about the flashbacks, frost giants and funerals before the adventure, since they were in the previous year.

For those of you who haven't played it yet, Iron DM at Gen Con is THE bomb. 21 cocky DMs get liquored up on Dew (or, if you're Necessary Evil, just liquored up) and then have to write a flawless adventure using three random elements (while helping your table through character creation) in one hour.

Or, the men among boys use more elements, throw in a few dream theater references, take a nap, write up another Ascension of the Drow character. You know. To make it fair.

I KNOW Booms is gonna step into the ring this year, right?

Hey, Boomer is not evil, maybe a bit wicked and crazy but not all out evil. Someone with such a great taste in art just can't be downright evil :P

I was at your table the year of magma, minotaurs and mistaken identity (plus everything from the years before). I played a fighter with a stutter. I had a ton of fun with that adventure. I also won my Listen Check by guessing the die and the number rolled-I'm still proud of that. lol

This past year, I had the Butcher. That was fun. We played diametrically-opposed siblings, which was hilarious.

Dark Archive Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4

Hugo knows: the Booms, no matter how evil, can't resist the power of great art.

And as for that Dew, well ... I got it from Tim Hitchcock.

THAT makes it evil!

*plays evil laugh tape -click-*

If I ever get to GenCon, I will definitely have to check out Iron DM, from either side of the screen it sounds like the bomb.

The absolute best six hours of your life that you'll never see again. I promise.

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2013

In many ways I still feel that was my best DMing ever. I didn't win that year (0.02 points!), but I racked up a few perfect scores and I still keep some of the comments from those score sheets as good luck charms.

That was a very special game to me, I am glad you were there. And now I'm glad you're here! Just waiting for Boomer's adventure to cause some trouble and require him to explain himself!

(Hey - you should compete next year and take your stab!)
