He's pretty cool.

I agree- I've really enjoyed his work, and his contributions to the community. I hope we continue to see him around. :)

Yes, I've been strangely silent now that the books are out.
To be completely honest, I'm a bit busy. My sister is getting married next week, to one of my best friends. I'm finishing a book for Paizo. I'm getting ready to move out of state. And start a new job there.

I am going to look at the 4e core books. I'm going to give them a good read before I post any sort of analysis. I will, just not until mid-July at the earliest. :)

Revenge of the Runelords AP- now with added Ewoks and Gungans! Me so pleased!

Sean would be cool.

I admire his passion for the game.

After reading his blog, I would say Sean K Reynolds seems like the most likely choice. One thing that makes me skeptical. Paizo and WotC are located in Washington. If Sean if moving out of state, then he couldn't be living in Washington now to start working for Paizo.

So, what state does he live in?

DeadDMWalking wrote:

I think I remember him living in California... but I'm not 100% sure of that.

SKR would freakin' rock. Any company with James Jacobs, Monte Cook, and Sean Reynolds -- something like the 3-aspect Ebon Overgod, I suppose -- couldn't help but be the coolest out there. And if they had Logue and Pett contributing lots of adventures, too...

last time I checked he was living in Nevada (I think)... but he could have moved back to California while I wasn't watching... anyway, he moved away from Washington not long after he got let go from WotC (I'd say at least 5 years ago now).

DUN-DUN-DUUHHHHH!

Turns out George Lucas already has a job, so it isn't him. However, we will soon be announcing something Paizo is doing next year that he is personally and directly involved in....

Here's my question: Is Sean allowed to post "c!%~@+&@&" on the Paizo boards. An official answer would be great, but I'd settle for an example post from Sean.

Given Erik's recent admonitions to Logue, I think that should be our litmus test.

Whoa...if Sean can use "c**kpunch" and not me...I quit.

;-)

That is so wrong.

Actually, as Lisa noted in the "What happened to Mike?" thread, he specifically requested that we don't make a fuss about things, and just let him slip out quietly like the ninja he is. He's still our good friend and contributor, though, so you can expect to see him continue to write a number of products for us. (Perhaps even more now - you'd be amazed how much editing all day kills your drive to go home and write....)

Ah, ninja thing. Right, got it!

That's cool - and I missed that thread too. Well, good luck Mike, and see you around!

See, this is what happens when you tease us with tidbits. We misconstrue them and then you have to play damage control.

Please start making some announcements already!

My mind is officially blown.

Does this have something to do with the announcement Mr. Frost keeps teasing us with?

To be honest, I'm not sure which one Josh has in mind! He has a lot of announcements to make.

*head explodes*

I pray for an animated mini-series set in Golarion, kind of "Star Wars: Clone Wars", but Pathfinder style. I like to dream big.

Maybe they are going to reprint those books he (Lucas) did with Chris Clairmont (follow ups to the Willow movie IIRC) in Planet Stories or something.

Here is some baseless speculation.

  • THX 1138 setting book for d20 future.
  • Indiana Jones for d20 modern.
  • A STarwarS adventure path.
  • Paizo getting their Star Wars license, and making a new line of products.
  • Lucasarts making a Pathfinder game.
  • Relaunch of Star Wars Gamer
  • A Howard the Duck card game

Is that a new 4th edition Fighter Power?

Or even -gasp- a foreshadowing of one of the Monk Powers?

"I move three (diagonal) squares to the ogre and use my daily c**kpunch power!"

Cool!

Dude... now that I know Vomit Guy can talk, it kind of kills the magic for me. It's like finding out Kool-Aid Man or Dick Cheney knows how to talk.

Disappointing.

    Sovereign Court

I can't even begin to guess how George Lucas would be directly involved with something Paizo is doing. AFAIK, he doesn't work that hard with licensees of his properties. I don't think I've ever heard about him having a strong interest in the Star Wars RPG (post West-End Games, anyway), or even that much in the Expanded Universe. Frankly, he has characters killed off in the EU because their names are inconvenient to his movie plans.

My guess would be something Indiana Jones-related, but really I have absolutely no idea. Can't wait to find out what this will be (and I hope that we find out soon)!

I think the George Lucas speculation is based on a misunderstanding.

Sorry, theories, but I had to.

Logic, you have failed me for the last time <BLAM BLAM>.

Not that that's over, when's Kid Rock writing his debut Game Mastery Module? I mean, he golfs, so obviously he's the next RPG Stuperstar, as well.

AWESOME. I've long been impressed with the snippets of wisdom posted on his web site.

With Monte, Sean, and Jason working on it, the Pathfinder RPG almost can't help but be the best D&D-based system yet.

    Sean - Welcome to Paizo!!!

    May I simply say, WOW?

    And welcome.
