I don't have really anything to add beyond the subject line. There's really little point in talking about Alpha 3 right now, but I'd like to know what Paizo has done different between Alpha 3 and Beta.
Also, for clarification, will Beta be unchanged through the course of the year (until 2009), or will Paizo continue to be doing .pdf upgrades? The reason I ask is because I'm interested in a hard copy, in addition to the Beta, but wonder how quickly that hard copy may get outdated.

I think Beta is just going through final signoffs now.... and I know if I were Jason, I probably wouldn't look at these forums until next week. Gotta decompress before you jump back in, you know...
If I were Jason I wouldn't come in to work for a week. Go take a break.
It's a bit frustrating knowing that the Beta is in the can but won't be unwrapped for 2 months. I'm not complaining mind you, it's just one of those things.

Yup... the Beta shipped to the printer earlier this evening. As did Pathfinder 13, the Second Darkness Pathfinder Companion, the 256 page hardcover Campaign Setting, the massive Planet Stories book "Worlds of Their Own," the Curse of the Crimson Throne Map Folio, and the Caravans Map Pack.
That's well over a thousand pages of stuff out the door. I may now shift from worrying about hitting the shipping deadline to an entirely new set of worries now! :)

I've designated credit from my FLGS for both the PRPG Beta and the Campaign setting. Can't wait!

Well done, Jason. Your efforts will resonate into the far future in ways unexpected and unpredictable, but marvelously profound. Your causal connection to the future of dungeons and dragons via PRPG cannot be underestimated. On behalf of my gaming group: THANK YOU JASON and the TEAM at PAIZO!

Cheers guys! Thank you Jason and the Paizo team for all your hard work. I'm sure you've all poured your love of the game into this, and I'm sure it will show!
Does this mean we'll be able to download it before Aug? :)
Thanks for the praise everybody. It makes it all worth it..
As for the early download bit.. no, I am afraid not. There are some other things I need to attend to for the release that are not ready yet.

Thanks for everything, Jason.
It must have been really hard to wafe through some of the insults and harsh criticisms that some jerks posted along the way. Especially since you're trying to tackle some problems that have gone unresolved for years. For every one little thing that I might still have some concerns about there are twenty or so things that I love. You've done a great job so far! Don't let anyone tell you different!
Thank you for your effort. Thank you for your time. Thank you for your openess to suggestion. And thank you for your creativity.
Way to go man!
Now go bed down!
I look foward to Beta with the bouncing butt of an 8 year old kid overdosing on caffeine and sugar on the way to Disneyworld.

Since the beta isn't going to be released until August, will there be a update for Alpha 3? It doesn't have to have everything, but major changes like the changes to combat feats or any others you can think of? I only ask because its just over a month and a half between now and the Beta release, and out of date material makes playtesting slightly less useful, as it gives you less accurate feedback. It doesn't even have to be a full PDF like the Alphas or the Beta, Just something noting the major changes to the rules.
And keep up the good work.

I read that, but didn't interpret it that way. I read it as a general progress report detailing what was changed but not giving specifics. I guess you can read that way and now you mention it, I do.
But still, it would be nice to hear it straight from the horse's mouth.
