About Feint: Anybody else always felt that feinting should have something to do with your or the target's BAB?
Absolutely, Draco. More so than deceptive ability, feint is based on combat ability and experience. Feinting a level 15 fighter should be harder for a level 10 fighter and easier for a level 20 fighter.

Wait ... doesn't it now?
"The DC of this check is equal to 10 + your opponent’s base attack bonus + your opponent’s Wisdom modifier. If your opponent is trained in Deception, the DC is instead equal to 10 + your opponent’s Deception bonus, if higher." (p.63)
It is only against Deception if their Deception skill is higher than their BAB + Wis. Besides, I think it says Deception from back when Sense Motive was part of Deception. It should probably read If your opponent is trained in Sense Motive, the DC is instead equal to 10 + your opponent’s Sense Motive bonus, if higher.
That seems perfectly reasonable to me.

What I meant was the "feinter" uses BAB not deception.
I'm okay with it as written because of this ...
"If successful, the next melee attack you make against the target does not allow him to use his Dexterity bonus to AC (if any)."
So Feint, in and of itself, is not an attack; it's a bluff. But if you manage to pull it off, you're next attack is really good. That's where your BAB comes in.

BAB + Wis modifier or Sense Motive check ( = ranks Sense Motive + Wis modifier, and maybe +3), whichever is higher.
