Pikel was the "Doo-dad" and I think the two dwarves were called Bouldershoulders? There was a deadly monk woman called Danica as well. Cadderly the Cleric had the power to charm and eventually turn back time on a great red wyrm.
Anyway I hope you get a mild flu and are back in action soon.
I don't mind fighting Drizzt if we get a chance at owning a black panther figurine.
Cheers
P.S. Not feeling too hot myself but I'll try to post later.

Status updatus:
I'm asymptomatic. Wife's asymptomatic.
Our pediatrician says he's been in the trenches against this swine flu for six weeks, and apparently he's immune to it for some reason, so perhaps my coming down with it isn't the aforegone conclusion I think it is.
The older kids-#1 son is pretty much over it, #2 daughter gets a little fever but causes more trouble than anything else.
#3 daughter--2 years old....fever comes in waves; fighting back the spikes. The afternoon which looms soon even now on me is the worst of it, but we're breaking the fever so far, and the tamiflu should do the trick soon. She's catching the worst of this battle, but confidence is high, and she's getting ample hydration during the tylenol-induced lows of the fever.
Basic Training was nowhere near as hard as this; it'll be over soon though.
I'm just damn tired.

Well, so far, so good....nobody's in the ER yet for i.v. fluids.
It was a long battle with the youngest daughter's afternoon temperature spike today, but tamiflu, tylenol, motrin, chocolate milk, and a bath turned the tide I think, or at least held it down.
(heh heh) fifteen minute adventure day my ass. ;)

I think the littleist one is a lot better today. I think we're through the woods.
I awoke rather sore though; I'm feeling better now but I think I'll know if I have it later this afternoon.
It could just be great exertion whilst exhausted and stressed; I don't know.

Thanks, man.
I think this is not too bad, not too dire; just a hard battle is all.
I routinely see worse raw deals on the "things that suck" thread.
True, it could be worse. But, OTOH, this is happening to YOU, not some other poor sob. Just keep your chin up and take care of yourself.

Wowsers, Grab a nab Heath-meister! Glad the kids are better!
(Nothing worse than having a sick kid, crying because they don't feel good, and not a !@#$-^& think you can do about it!) ;P
Kruelaid-
HEY KRUELAID! ;)
Sorry that RL ganged up on you. Is all quiet on the eastern/western/whatever front now?

Hey, kruely!
If you want back in any time, it's cool brutha.....
I'm just not doing anything pbp'ish myself for maybe a few more days.
My kids are through the woods and back to normal; elevated temperatures still, but no dangerous temperature spikes yesterday and prolly not today. We're through the woods.
I.....I don't know if I have it myself or not; I'm sore, I slept a lot, and I stayed home from work, I might go in and get some tamiflu or something, but if this IS swine flu, it's about the mildest f&$!ing flu I ever had.
Thanks for the wellwishes all around, guys; now I'm gonna go lie down.

Hah, gratz Frenchie!
(Or condolences, it kinda depends on your point of view I guess. But I think its cool!) ;)
IF we all do our part, we can do away with all of those meddling jocks and lawyers and politicians, and replace them with the only TRUE intelligent life on this planet,...
GAMERS! ;)
Just think what a better world it would be, if WE ruled the countries!
oh, erm,... sorry,... [/soapbox]
COngratz FW! :)

Its amazing how quick they go bad, how tired you can get, and how quick its back to normal again.
Oh and my wife is pregnant so it looks like I'm adding another bundle of joy next May/June. Whoi needs peace and quiet anyway?
Cheers
Gratz man! 'Tis a wonderful thing, but personally I am happy to be awaiting grandkids in the future, having successfully navigated the young children scene...

This swords for Kelanen thing is making me a little uncomfortable. Everyone else gets 671gold and Oso gets 8,375gold towards his sword. Presently the sword has an additional 15,000 or thereabouts that I could convert on it.
a) It doesn't seem fair on the rest of the party. They aren't getting anything like this.
b) Its overpowering in the long run. Oso could end up with a +10 sword before we know it.
Do you guys agree with that? Maybe I'm just beinga bit paranoid but I don't play at these rarified levels usually. I can see a couple of ways that this could be sorted. First Oso only gets a smaller fraction of the value of swords that we send to Kelanen, maybe a fifth or a tenth.
Or how about the sword gets Special Abilities, sentience or speech or whatever instead of me looking at making a +2 vorpal keen flaming bastard sword.
Or my favourite since it would help everyone, maybe the sword is given a single charge of Resurrection or Raise Dead, and we call it a day on that whole sending swords to Kelanen's planar castle.
What do you think?

I think the sacrifice mechanism is really cool. However, I do agree that it might become overpowering in the long run. One way to solve it could be that Oso can opt to use the gold from his share that comes from swords to improve his sword. In effect, that gives him a very limited version of the Craft Magic Arms And Armour feat - it also adds a little bookkeeping for Oso, but lets him keep a very flavourful trait. I'll recalculate the extra treasure to give everyone equal shares.

Okay! NOW I know what I want to go shopping for! :-)
What do you get for the druid who has (almost) everything?
A PFRPG version of the Amulet of Mighty Fists of course!
In PF, the amulet can grant weapon special abilities, and does NOT have to be +1 first!
So, would Altai mind building Elgan an amulet of Mighty fists, no plusses, just Flame (+1 bonus) and Frost (+1 bonus) for an equivalent +2 amulet? I'll give you the 10K for the building costs of course!
Just picture mr shifty, with flaming and freezing sets of claws AND teeth! (And did I mention it applies to multiple attacks?!?)
(And of course, I'll just have to Magic Fang or Greater Magic Fang myself when I get up in the morning,...) :D

No problem! It'll take 10 days, though, so it won't be available for a while.
