I don't have it, but that never stopped me.
I'll pick it up....I've seen it a gazillion times at Half-Priced Books.
I was cruising it since it has a lot of stats for Upper Planar creatures, and I stumbled upon it. It has a lot of cool options, mostly aid and support stuff, but I am cool with that. I do have to blow a feat to swear allegance to the Court of Stars to qualify for the PrC.

The much-maligned Book Of Exalted Deeds has a lot of stuff that is easily exploited, but I still think it is a decent resource for RP-oriented players. Of course, it also has a bunch of just flat-out stupid stuff, like the good assassins and the good poisons. Drop that and the exalted feats, and you're good to go.
As for T3, I'm more of a Claire Danes fancier. So I'm obviously far less shallow than you lot. Philistines!

Lotta stuff in there is pretty badass, and good don't mean wimpy. You got the updated stats on Eladrin, Guardinals, various archons, etc. All the Upper Planes creatures.
And yeah, like Vatt said, the 'good' poisons are really a stretch (Oh it does GOOD stat damage ..LOL) But yeah this PrC has a few cool options, but I'll still be combat assistant, kinda the ADA of the Regulators..

Sorry FW. ADA stands for Air Defense Artillery. They have a valuable role in combat, but they don't exactly stand on the front line with rifle in hand. Kinda like Pip. He can't take the damage, but he can assist with spells and his inspire courage to get the others beefed up for combat.

You go on a two week National Guard drill, shoot BATs up in the air (big orange rockets,) and dudes with Dragons (bazookas) and such shoot them down....
And if you're Patriot ADA you do a lot of pretending out in the New Mexico desert, and once a year the best folks get to shoot off one live Patriot Missile ( at $1Mil per they tend not to shoot too many off).

In Canada they play paintball all weekend and pretend to have knife fights with sharpies.
Man they can really paintball, though, it's f*#&ing scary. We played a squad, they were all in cammo with face paint and using hand signals. When we'd sneak off and smoke joints they'd strategize. They practically raped us.

The US Army does basically the same, except with M.I.L.E.S gear (kinda like wonky Lazer Tag). I do have to thank what little time I did get in Basic to play around with it to see how effective group coordination and tactics really are. My humanoid bands became much more deadly once I understood the concepts of ambush and attacking from a defensible position, LOL

I've been thinking about small squad tactics re: D&D....you can really jack the hell out of a same size or even vastly outnumbering force with a crew that knows exactly what they're doing.| Patrick Curtin |

I used to annoy the fnck out of a party of 7th level 2nd Ed characters using only orcs. They were travelling back and forth over this mountain pass a lot, and the orcs would lure them into a narrow draw and fire arrows down on their heads. Even though the orcs needed a 20 to hit most of them, the damage would accumulate quite quickly (and the fact that you got two arrows in per round). When the characters finally ran up the steep slope in their full plate, the orcs were long gone, diving into hidden tunnels in the mountain. Used to drive them batty 'cause they had no one with good range damage...

No - I've been very remiss. Do you know what is actually free - I never seem to get round to checking out the Paizocon website to find out? In any case I have screwed up and will be in Spain on Saturday, so I'm only about Sunday. Not sure I'm going to come, to be honest, though on the other hand it would be good to meet my fellow UK Paizoans.

Sunday is Skeleton Moon, which I am running and is a pretty decent Society scenario. In the afternoon there is a bit of a free for all, with board games and a few Pathfinder games.
Also Nic Logue and Richard Pett are DMing a two round affair with 8th level PCs and you could see about playing in that. The PCs are pre-generated by Nic and it sounds like fun. It's called the Living Colossus of Chakratin, set in a moving metal dungeon in a jungle, and I get the impression that the two tables are going head to head.
On the other hand, if you are just back from Spain, you want to have a day of rest. There's always next year to put a face to some of these guys.

Sorry about my unannounced abscence - we lost our TV and internet after some rough weather on Thursday. It's not back yet, but at least I can post from work.
As for the TA - the Norwegian National Guard has no equipment besides rifles and a couple of trucks. The idea is that they won't actually stand and fight the Russians (or the Swedes), but rather make life intolerable for the occupiers. Think about it - almost a million men with an assault rifle and a few hundred rounds in the attics, operating in terrain they are intimately familiar with. It would be absolute hell on any invader. Oh, and MILES gear rocks!

I'm on vacation next week; Mon the 20th of July for a few days will be afk, so prolly after this battle concludes,....there'll be plenty of time to level up.
I think this one might go on for a few days though; hard to tell anymore what with everybody being 8th level and all that.

Exactly, and I'm not in a very good f!~~ing mood right now.
Not a good combo.
Doesn't anybody know how to talk to people any more without having to measure peckers?
More seriously ... I'm not really finding this whole thing more prominant in real life, just on the interwebs. I think it lets people celebrate their inner jerk ... plus the usual "inflection and tone isn't well captured in text only communication" yadda yadda.

The radio station I typically listen to has just finished up a big online poll “the hottest 100 songs of all time”. Interesting results considering that it markets itself as a ‘youth’ and ‘alternative’ radio station; the demographic audience is probably teens and twenties.
Top three were Jeff Buckley (Hallelujah), Rage Against the Machine (Killing in the Name) and Nirvana (Smells Like Teen Spirit). Only one song in the top twenty was released in the last 5 years, and only two songs in the entire top 100 were released in the last 2 years. Definitely some great songs in there, I just woulda thought they’d be a few more current ones (or less mainstream ones for that matter).

They might be like me - I have a hard time thinking of anything new as "great". We only know wheter something is great a while after the fact.
Also, I can easily name 10 RAtM songs better than "Killing in the name" - which, of course, is an excellent little tune. Great, great band.

Yeah, I think there is definitely an element of that. I might really love a song now, but am I still going to love it as much in a year, or five years? It just somewhat surprised me given the demographic of people who I assume were voting for this.
I would put Killing In The Name firmly at the top of my list of Rage songs (and near the top of my all time favourite songs), though I have to admit its also by far the one I have heard and know the best.

Don't you go banging on about that rack and roller music, sonny, it all sounds the same to me.
Although, one could also add, that once Steely Dan released Babylon Sisters (in 1980) there wasn't anything much else to be written. As their subsequent output suggests.

I don't really do heat - we were there for a specific purpose rather than as a general holiday - so it was a bit much for me: 35C plus (Heathy will probably think that's on the chilly side). In my defence, I am very cold-adapted - very white skin, big nose to warm cold air, protective layer of blubber.... Heathy would last five minutes in Rugby.
