YAY! A cleric is what you need? Sweet! I will take a look at my books and build something tout suite. Would a halfling fit in? I know you have Gittik, but I was thinking a more traditional hobbit type who likes to eat, kind of a Friar Tuck style cleric. Anyone have suggestions on what gear I should focus on? Do you need a healbot or someone with a bit of smackpower? Oh, and is this game in Pathfinder rules or are you 3.5?

Oso is coming together, do the rest tomorrow when my connection stops mucking about.
He could be the Arnold to Pat's Danny.
Couple questions, why a morningstar when you have proficiency and weapon focus in sword from the war domain? Also a second level of Barb lets you have uncanny dodge if you are interested in extending you barbarian career!

Nice looking character! Along the lines FH mentioned, perhaps you would want to consider:
Instead of:
+1 heavy wooden shield (1,157gp)
+2 banded mail (4,400gp)
mswk adamantine morningstar (3,308gp)
silver dagger (92gp)
everburning torch (110gp)
+2 cloak of resistance (4,000gp)
holy symbol of Kelanen (25gp)
To take:
+1 darkwood shield (1257 gp, +3 AC and only weighs 5 pounds)
+1 full plate (2650 gp, +9 AC and +1 max DEX)
+1 adamantine longsword (5315 gp)
mwk cold iron morningstar (316 gp)
silver dagger (92gp)
everburning torch (110gp)
+2 cloak of resistance (4,000gp)
holy symbol of Kelanen (25gp)
That leaves you with 1225 spare gold, plus better armour and a weapon you have weapon focus with.
Also, keep in mind that we are using unlimited 0-level spells and rage points from PF Beta.

Hey French Wolf!
As for a question of character class, I reckon having two clerics would not be a bad thing; what it would (hopefully) mean is that the healing load is shared amongst two, freeing you both up to do other things apart from healing. 'Course we've managed to survive without any cleric for a while, so I'd say go with what you want to play.

Multiclassing spellcasters can get ugly, unless there is a PrC that can handle cleric/bard. If we have a cleric, a straight bard would be good - they are excellent buffers and misdirectors.
Also, what's with the heavy armour for Oso? He loses his Fast Movement in anything heavier than medium.
And welcome, chaps.

Thinking I am going halfling bard. A wisecracking, food stuffing, lounge lizard of a halfling. I will work on the stats today.
The fun thing about making a bard for me is deciding what's my schtick: poetry, song, oratory, instruments....
Stiggy's a barfly, he's the Lizard's Boat (A Saltmarsh landmark) equivalent of Norm Peterson who just happened to get off his ass and take up the axe.
It wouldn't hurt if your bard has done a few gigs at the Boat.

Now that Pat is going all Chris de Burgh on me, Oso has changed his feats and stuff to be a bit more of a healer.
Technical question - if I "extend" lesser vigor (page 229 Spell Compendium) does it do double the healing? I think so but that means 30pts of healing from a first level spell.
That should help the poor druid.
Vattnisse et al feel free to rip the hell out of my PC now he is nine parts done. Heathy, I hope to get the background sorted over the next day or so.
Would the halfling and I being old friends and partners in crime help start the ball rolling?
Either way Oso is a free-wheeling fighter looking to teach the masses about his God.
Cheers

Yeah; you guys can be Fafhrd and Grey Mouser...heh heh...
I don't have the Spell Compendium; I'll look for it in another book; I have a lot of books.
I'm waiting on the rest of the party to pick a destination, then I'll get you guys situated.
No hurry guys; I might be slammered today at work...

Here is the spell details for Lesser Vigor from the Compendium.
---
Cleric 1
1 standard action
range touch
Duration 10 rounds plus 1 round/level (max 15 rounds)
The subject gains fast healing 1, enabling it to heal 1 hit point per round until the spell ends and automatically becoming stabilised if it begins dying from hit point loss during that time. Lesser vigor does not restore hit points lost from starvation, thirst, or suffocation, nor does it allow a creature to regrow or attach lost body parts.
The effects of multiple vigor spells do not stack; only the highest-level effect applies.

Cheers

Here's the bare bones of Pip, the lounge lizard hobbit. I need to gear him up still, will work on that today. I did the math with the RPG Explorer program, so feel free to audit the numbers.
Did you apply the +1 stat from level 4? Other than that, the numbers see fine to me.

Hmmm.... I've got nothin'. I guess the only thing would be whether the War domain gave you Weapon Focus with the bastard sword or not. If it didn't, you have another sword-related Weapon Focus floating around somewhere; if it did, you have one mor feat.
French Wolf

Oh Vattnisse, nice catch.
You get a free martial weapon proficiency. So I'd like to take longsword. It's meant to be the same as your weapon focus because you go with the god's favored weapon.
Heathy, I have kind of fudged that by taking a broadsword as my weapon of first choice. My reasoning is that Kelanen is the Prince of Swords and a master of all of them, including the exotics. However if you want I can research back to what is his specific favored weapon. I've got it on file somewhere as part of my Living Greyhawk documents.
Cheers

How do we work that out? If Kelanen's favoured weapon is any one sword (which is pretty cool), then Oso gets EWP (bastard sword) and WF (bastard sword) free - he then has one more feat. This is, to my mind, quite reasonable, as Oso was already proficient with all martial weapons through his barbarian level. On the other hand, it seems equally reasonable to require that feat to be a swordfighting-related feat, as it is essentially a bonus feat.
Which further reminds me - we gave Becton three domains. How 'bout Oso?

That all sounds good.

Ogay....
Riese's Revenuers can get a dugout from the swampers; it's the least they can do for you guys liberating them from the hobgoblin menace.
You guys are going after the lizardmen I reckon, right?
I'll...have you meet up with French Wolf and Patrick Curtin; those two guys are on a riverboat on the Hool...I just need a couple days to plan a special meetup.
FW and PC, I guess you guys are on a Riverboat, coming from up north somewhere...(just the bare bones) you're headed to Saltmarsh because you've heard there's a lot of mayhem going on around down there...and where there's mayhem there's gold and glory and all that good stuff.
How's that sound?
Like I said I have to build a special meetup, then the wild rumpus can begin...

So, the estimable Pendobar Bushytoe is on his way to perform somewhere, when the marauding goblins of Jag Doom's army divert him and his guide/bodyguard Oso. Sadly, it turns out that Oso is much better at breaking heads than he is at finding the way, and the two have spent the last tenday getting lost in the Hool, mainly surviving off Oso's castings of Create food and water. Near-delirious, they are about to stumble into a village tht's hopefully populated with friendly natives. Instead, it is a certain lizardman burg, and that's when our paths meet...
This setup reminds me of an old Twillight: 2000 campaign, where my brother played a semi-washed up action actor who'd gotten trapped behind the lines after an USO tour had gone bad. The rest of us were all special-ops guys, and he was almost useless (turned out the Poles liked his movies), running around and yelling his now-forgotten idiotic catchphrase (something along the lines of "sayonara, f&@&face!"). It was hillarious - until he bought it, obviously.
