Going to disagree on Penguin/Victor/Etc. The mob angle right now is what is carrying this show. No doubt the penguin grows and the Riddler is introduced.There are so many cool villians that can be introduced and im hoping Gordon grows into something similiar to the Nolan movies.

Hes the president!. Stop making excuses for him. Minimum wage/war on women. History as of right now will show he's not up for the job. His polling numbers are awful. First quarter growth for this year was awful, he looks lost on international politics (why is he bowing to China!!). Most democrats campaigning dont want to be seen with/near him. People have been waiting with baited breath for Hillary/Warren to declare. The rose has lost its bloom. You democrats who will never eva vote for a democrat should have demanded a primary challenger to unseat him.

As for things being all great in the democratic state think again. Chicago is a mess! Anyone taken a look at the governor of Massachusetts and the scandals. Taxes/fees are skyrocketing. Cost of living in New york is out of sight. You may make more but you will be living in a closet.

The only reason the 10.10 has any life as there are no jobs. People over 55 who get laid off wont get rehired so those at Home depot/Mcdonalds/Walmart are the only jobs they can get and they realize its not enough. Has anyone been to a home depot/supermarket lately. Home depot in Massachusetts 90% of lanes are automated. I cant find a person to help me in a walmart and its not long before more and more jobs get automated. Where are the jobs coming from next. All this vote was a hope that Reid can get the base fired up

I'm glad that at least he told them how it should end. Worse case scenario and the tv show could give closure if he is not able to finish it

I feel bad for the kids he left behind. I dont feel bad for him. He made a choice and clearly his kids were a second priority.

I loved it. Rygel was the best.

Was awful. I had no idea it was a musical. Good special effects etc but i was not expecting so much singing. Every few minutes the sister is singing. Needed more evil queen with more action scenes. I even fell asleep during the middle

I give the show an A+. It was everything i could have hoped for.

Matt Smith was not my favorite DR and i was not a fan of the same companions for years.

For those who liked Tennant for his compassion you should check out the 5th DR. I'm old enough to have watched some of the 4th stuff when they first started airing over in the Us and they 4th and 5th were drastically diffent. Something to share

-They are all egomaniacs and braggarts. The companions are there be amazed by the DR and he "always" places them in dangerous situations

-David Tennant broke the mold for romance. Rose Tyler, flirting with Captain Jack, when has to hide as a human, etc.

-Tennant had as much fury as Smith or any past DR. He constantly used his sonic screwdriver as a weapon and his companions as wells as his enemies commented on his violence. He may have been the first DR to hold a pistol and almost use it.

I'm going to disagree on Tennant being different in the Day of the DR. If anything he was the same. You cant exclude the specials

I might be in the minority here but i thought the show went even further downhill this week. Sure the plane scene was fun and there are some fun suprises but this show does not measure up to cable shows that have action/suspense in them.

You can argue that sure the cable shows can get away with more in the gore/language etc but the plot itself is not holding me. Similiar network shows such as Lost/heroes were far more compelling

Things that i think the show needs

1. More redshirts. You have this core group of agents and i cant see any of them being in any sort of serious danger. With previous Whedon productions there was a big bad that at least got its hands on a normal person.

2. Villians with powers! I'm not sure what they have for license rights but id like to see some actual powered villians on the scene or even mentioned. Shield exists in the marvel universe and yet the only symbol is on the plane. Why not get some uniforms with a shoulder patch.

3. Improve the sets. Peru felt like a small hollwood set and felt like something out of 1981. Stargate did more with the woods in Seattle.Same with Dr Who. This show is the new jewel for the network

I really want to love this show. I'm not a troll trying to stir the pot. I have liked whedon stuff in the past especailly firefly and Buffy/Angel, I like the Coulson actor, and i love Marvel comics. And maybe its early but i'm worried that if the first 2 episodes are an indicator this show doesnt have staying power.

I have to laugh at people who say this show doesnt depict gamers the right way. Im a gamer who hangs out with a lot of non gamers. I feel like im one of those people who can cross over between the gamers world/non gamer worlds with ease

1. There have been many times i have walked into a comic book store/game store and seen the super hero statues and though about buying one for a desk or shelf. Theres a huge market for this stuff and im sure theres people on the boards who have some or a lot.I for one dont have the money or desire to display statues as trophies.
2. D&D rules lawyers-We all have known a DM or player whos a rules lawyer or maybe someone who is uninentionally annoying at a game session-sounds like Sheldon can be.
3. Super rare magic cards/heroclix/limited edition comic book covers or miniatures-Ebay tells me that it exists and therefore makes me laugh when the actors go crazy for them during an episode. I have gone to a local game store and seen grownups at a pokemon card tournament.
4. If your at your local flags during a gaming night (80%+ mostly men playing and thats being very conservative in most situations) and an attractive blonde walked in the entire place would watch (you can deny it if you want). I would turn around and if single would do my best to impress her. There are a lot of attractive women that i know who are watching Game of Thrones and many love it that i can talk about this show with them.
5. Most straight males between certian ages will measure up a women based on her attractiveness. Its the same way on the womens side. If you dont ever see this then its time to venture outside your circle.
6. My wife cant understand the fascination i have with miniatures and sitting around a table roleplaying and would rather have me do anything else besides playing Skyrim. She has a boderline interest in Scifi as im sure most of society does.
7. There are tons of people who go to conventions dressed up as their favorite comic book hero/movie creature. I would laugh out loud if my friends did this
8. I have played all night gaming marathons and become obsessed with games like angry birds, skyrim, etc. People take their gaming very very seriously
9. I have friends who have called tv network complaining that why was their favorite tv show postponed due to a sports playoff game. Or how upset people got over 4th edition. Same with tv shows being cancelled.
10. I have seen many gamers who have some type of social anxiety such as shyness who would have the same problems as many of these characters do.
11. I live near MIT and they are always doing crazy things. Most of my science professors were on the crazy side.
12. All comedies have a laugh track. Not sure why but with a good/excellent comedy im usually laughing before the laugh track starts.

I give the show a 10+. I find nothing offensive about it. I love the Sy-fi and comic book references. Sveral time i have paused the show to see the D&D miniatures displayed or other collectibles on walls. I love Penny's reactions to the groups gaming habits as i get those same reactions from my wife and family. I love how the show has evolved over the years and new cast members to the show. I believe its one the highest rated shows on tv?

For those offended by it i say ohh well. Comedy is always going to be offensive. i bet there were people who were offended by the Three Stooges or Bill Cosby.

I would say the show helps gamers image. For many older people "D&D" has a negative image. Once people see what it is and how its played many will probably change it to a "neutral" reaction. I'm an older gamer and i still have trouble telling people i play roleplaying games.

Anyone see Clone Wars this weekend. Not going to spoil it but was in my opinion one of the best episodes in a long time. Hoping they have another episode like that soon.

Any thories on Who Clara is? Any chance shes a timelord? Is the Sontaran butler the same one from the Tenant series and why is he currently with the Doctor right now? Can someone explain what the tardis/staircase in the clouds was. I couldnt hear the explanation?

The Hobbit itself is a very different story from Lord of the Rings and seems geared towards children (lots of comedy begining) . I've reread up until where i believe part 1 ends and im very suprised Jackson was able to make a movie on just this part. It would seem based on trailers that he added a lot and just like LOTR the action scenes were better than the books (in the mines of Moria the troll battle i believe was 1 sentence?).

How would you compare it to episode 1 of Star Wars or other current fantasy movies out there (except LOTR). If LOTR is an At in your book is the hobbit a solid B?

My gut tells me that movie 2 is where the fans get a lot of stuff only briefly mentioned in the Hobbit (the white council, etc)

I found name of the wind and the wise Mans fear to be fantastic compared to most of whats out there now for Fantasy fiction (except the GRRM series). World War Z was a book in my opinion that was a complete waste of time and very disapointing. Book 2 of the passage series by Cronin has been a disapointment so far as well (80% finished).
