I just saw the announcement today for the new edition of Pathfinder. I'm done. Just go ahead and delete my information and loose my email address what not. Do whatever it is you need to do. I won't be back.

Don't be silly we would want a master such as Uwe Boll.

Why do you need quickened spell to play a magus? The spell combat and spell strike abilities allow you cast and attack as part of the same action. You don't need to quicken anything. Unless I missed an errata somewhere or is this a min/max thing to get more bang for your buck?

Also recently my wife and daughter were out with my wife's aunt and uncle for their weekly waffle Wednesday. While sitting in the car waiting for my wife's aunt, her uncle told my daughter that he was going to get a waffle this week. Usually my daughter is the only 1 who does. She told him, finger in face, "You don't take waffles from little girls. You only get a tic tac."

The wife and I took our daughter to the zoo with my family for the festival of lights (they do the zoo up in lights and what not). Being a could night we decided to leave her in her car seat as we readied the stroller and such. From the back seat I hear "Hey, pops! Pops, you forgot the last person! Hey, somebody help me here!"

Shadow Lodge

Skirnir archtype from ultimate combat gains shield proficiency, and can use the arcane pool to enhance shields and weapons. This would help you survive those early levels

Shadow Lodge

Occult Adventures has the ley lines guardian archtype, looses the familiar for bonus to casting using ley lines. Also becomes a spontaneous caster.

Shadow Lodge

Better yet put the burden of proof back on the gm and ask for proof of the all pets die at zero rule.

Shadow Lodge

Weapons or armors fashioned from mithral are always masterwork items as well; the masterwork cost is included in the prices given below.

My wee one has burst into laughter when my wife comes out of the shower naked..not good for the wife's self esteem. To build on this while, laying on our bed or sitting on our couch she will poke my wife and giggle "You jiggly mom!". My wife points at me and tells her to poke me...though I am over weight as well my fat don't jiggle like moma's so the wee one quickly returns to my wife...more poking.
The wee one is also fond of being tickled and request tickles to specific parts, we draw the line at her butt which she loudly request when we are out in public.
Speaking of butts while bathing her once she asked names of her body parts and quickly deduced, on her own, that she had a front butt and back butt.
This summer we were over my mothers house and she was playing in the kid pool with her cousins. The youngest, Bishop, went after my wife with a squirt gun. The wee one charged after him, and successfully intercepted his attack. She later retold the story dubbing her cousin "Pesky Bishop" and herself a hero for saving mom and now refers to herself as "Captain Sammy". She also recounts this tale to anyone who will listen.
When she sees the moon in anything other than a full state or nearly full state then it is broken and missing it's other piece. I am then informed that we need to get a rocket ship and fly to outer space to find said missing piece and fix the moon.

I could have added in a "that". Still, considering that "that" is often ignored in english, and that the sentence doesn't make sense if you go with "time monsters", I felt it was okay.

That said, I am rather language-minded. I like having created "time monsters". Sound like a CR 14-17 or so.

Time monster = Outer Dragon Time

Shadow Lodge

Archaeologist bard would get you trap-finding, face skills, and some good self buffs from the archaeologist luck.

Shadow Lodge

Batkin skin walkers can get a limited wildshape ability through feats to change into a bat then dire bat fairly early in the game.

Well that takes all the fun out of it. :(

I was looking more to throw teammates under the bus, I'm using and archer build and like to put as much meat as possible between the targets and my PC.

Hunter archetype throws willing allies under the bus with something of a challenge ability, but directed at somebody else. Fun if you've got a cavalier or kinetic knight in the group, because those penalties stack. Includes a small spell failure chance, too. It's limited uses, but as much as you want on your poor, poor animal companion, you heartless jerk.

I'm playing a Hunter in Hell's Vengeance right now and we are about to finish book 1. Would this archtype be a good fit for that campaign. Would it be worth retraining into? What abilities does this archtype swap out?

Just from what I've read of the Starfinder game mechanics here on the boards, I have zero interest in Starfinder and wouldn't want to see Pathfinder go that route. I enjoy the way it is. If you want something different go find it.

Bioluminescence is a thing. A large amount of subteranian lighting is probably just glowing mushrooms. Those are fairly prevalent in the darklands so not as likely to attract attention.

The other thing is heat patterns. In all honesty, darkvision is most likely thermal vision in truly dark places. Other forms of nightvisipn rely on ambient light levels. If there's no ambient light (just like the darklands) then night vision is useless.

If you get a chance, read the Drizzt novels and war of the spider queen novels from the old forgotten realms settings. They explore this whole concept really well.

Sadly heat vision was removed in 3rd edition. Darkvision is now just black and white with shades of gray. I always liked thermal vision better, plus it was cool how the drow could turn it on and off.

I would recomend reviewing the black blade from the magus blade bound archtype, & scailing magic items from Pathfinder Unchained.

Shadow Lodge

Daredevil is straight up brawler all the way.

Shadow Lodge

Yes, yes, but ultimately one must ask one self, what is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow.

Shadow Lodge

Love the art. Also it doesn't show the "skull" side of the klar. So if the GM ask, yeah it's a skull on the other side. If anyone else ask... your call. IMO, a steel klar would have the general shape of the skull, curves and what not. Doesn't necessarily have to have an actual skull embossed on it.

Guenwhyvar;grumpy old black female hates all other animals. Used to be my little ninja until she got fat on me. When she was young we only had one other dog and no other cats. She would attack any exposed flesh hanging out, especially when your shirt and pants would separate when you sat in a chair and couldn't see it coming. She secretly enjoys being petted but only when in a room alone with one human and no other animals. (from a friend's litter of barn cats)
Twilight; fat male orange tabby, has had a bladder stone, teeth pulled and now has thyroid issues. Still one of the most loveable lap cats ever, loves his tummy rubs and being brushed. Loves any ladies that visit. He is 100% my wife's cat. She swore we would never have any cats. (stray wondered up to our porch, showed up every morning and evening at the "twilight" hour for a month)
Tink; little grey and white tabby with a bright pink nose. We found her while I was out back burring a ferret. She followed us to the porch and when we went inside she knocked on the door and cried to come in. So in she came and never left. She likes to lay on her back and do what we call her "dead tink bug" move, to get tummy rubs. Won't leave me alone while making my tuna for my lunch.
All three are indoor cats, they love to sit in open windows and will walk up to the door when it is open but only Twilight will venture out, and then only to the porch. Twilight is the only cat I have ever had that will come to the call of his name and he announces himself as he runs to you, meowing his fool head off the whole way. Though he also announces himself when he enters a room as well.

The more I think about it the less sense Nature's Training makes. If there were no previously existing feats then why make the class ability. Going forward they could just make the prerequisite of any such feats list the Hunter class as well as Druid or Ranger. I believe there are other feats that have multiple classes listed as possible prerequisites.

Shadow Lodge

The sad thing about Nature's Training is that not only is it a dead ability, but none of the current archtypes replace it. That does seem rather wasteful.

Shadow Lodge

There are melee builds for the hunter. You even choose from precise shot or outflank at level 2. You really have to use the teamwork feats wisely to make this class work.

Shadow Lodge

If that is your plan look at the rules for harvesting dragons...you don't get as much as you would expect.

Dark Sword Miniatures has 1, I repeat 1 rat, and it's a pi-rat.

Shadow Lodge

This reminds me of the Star Wars kids books that are out now, even though you find them in the sci-fi section at Barnes & Noble. Though Little Golden Books also does Star Wars books too. I have a few of those that I read to my daughter along with a ABC's and counting with Cthullu book a friend bought for my daughter and his niece. I think adults without kids would buy them too.

Shadow Lodge

I think the idea of a starter class has been discussed before with the bard usually winning out. It has skills, magic, combat, healing, and performance can always be done when the noob has no clue of what else to do. Helps them feel important and helpful. I've used it quite often as an introductory class. It helps that all a player needs is in the Core rule book to boot.

Shadow Lodge

My Dominatrix says otherwise.
Moral Standard You should always say please and thank you.

Shadow Lodge

Magus with VMC rogue works also.

"As a Paizo board discussion grows longer, the probability of getting a smurf approaches 1"

Shadow Lodge

I always thought the magus was the original hybrid class. I think that the magus was even mentioned as an example of a hybrid class when the ACG was first being talked about before the playtesting.

Shadow Lodge

Druid. We have two in our Iron Gods campaign. They cover, healing, summoning, melee, ranged, scouting. The Bard handles the face work. The cleric is there for some buffing and occasional undead. Gunslinger is the cannon o' doom.
But those druids, very versatile, lots of toys. Don't want an animal companion, take a domain, and so on.

Shadow Lodge

@ Fantasty So 2 things, the eldritch scoundrel is not proficient with martial weapons, or armor of any sort.

Shadow Lodge

Best to use the "winging it" method. What ever sounds best for the situation. If they are worried about buff/debuff duration, wing it. Worried about time of day, wing it. I'm telling a story here, not a math problem. But I also don't do much or any prep either. I'm usually as surprised as my group by what happens. I'm a horrible GM, but we have fun. I don't even award XP anymore. Just wing it, end of the night, hey you guys leveled.

I actually like the retro '80's look of the logo. Though I do hope the rest of the art is not final, it does look a bit dull.

Shadow Lodge

What class is that Kasatha on the right? Is it one of the iconics?

I use a flail wielding trip magus with the hex crafter archetype. Between getting tripped, evil eye with soothsayer, riving strike, rat of enfeeblment and bone breaker bracers, if I survive the few rounds needed to set up you're completely screwed. You're going to fall down, you're going to fail some saves, and you're going to lose a frightening amount of STR and ored CON.

It's an extremely sadistic fighting style.

My group will be starting hell's vengeance later this year. Could you break that build down and links maybe. That would be great for my group.

I'm a busy man so I won't link you but I'll describe.

Flail is a solid trip weapon. Whip is acceptable for reach but not as metal. Given it'poor critical hit math forget about crits.

Magical lineage (magic missile) and toppling spell is an optional boon, not necessary to the build but allows you (with spell combat) to theoretically trip many people.

Start fights with evil eye, it's critical, as is soothsayer. If an opponent passes a save vs evil eye the effect still lasts one turn. Soothsayer allows you to choose WHEN that turn is. Use evil eye to target saves and delay it if he passes.

Next turn be up in his face, hopefully you spent your last move action ruNing in.

Make an attack (use bone breaker bracers for 1x day -6 to any physical stat if you have it), activating arcane strike. This is your delivery method for riving strike (-2 to saves). As part of spell combat 5 foot step back, activate evil eye (-2 saves) and unleash hideous debuffs. Ray of enfeeblment is vicious because it makes them weaker and easier to knock prone, where you cab debuff them with relative impunity.

For the rest of the fight use spell combat to trip the withered husk of an opponent and debuff while he's down. Ado damage to taste.

Haha. Thanks I see a very angry GM in my future.

Unattended in my games has always been something not being held, or is not part of someone's inventory list. So pretty much anything just laying about the room is good to go. YMMV.
Also...we all know that any goblin baby outside of it's cage is considered unattended. Goblin parents are the worst.
