heroes of the kesh hinterlands by purple duck games gives you a whole area that might be a good fit for what you want

you could use spices like salt? or if the mining is good coal would be good

you should also check the book of many thing 2 and book of many things campaign exclusive and play manga d20 that should give you plenty of monster trainers

spheres of power for erza and the book of many things 3 has the dragonspeaker for the dragonslayers

try the vanguard from path of iron by ascension games for another class idea as well

the evolved path has races and 2 classes from arcana evolved plus check for tim wallace here

like what i see but the phalanx ability of amazons is problematic they're medium size so its hard to visualize them being in the same space maybe a bonus for fighting alongside each other

i second the idea of a factotum if it doesnt eat up time working on the beguiler
