It seem like everyone has rolled some really good stats so far. I'm expecting to be the one who gets awful stats, and I'm actually kind of excited if I get to RP the anchor that weighs the group down. I can try to be comic relief if I don't have the skills to be physically useful :)

Just like Steve said, I'm all in for option 3. Let's see what I get! Super excited :)

Of course, you were playing at an APL of almost 9 in a 7-11, so that should have been expected. :P It would have been even easier if Steve's toon had flipping pulled his own weight in combat. Seriously, learn how to make an optimized character, Steve :0

Mikko Kallio wrote: Lockwood, I'm afraid you'll have to endure more than just a handshake and a "hi"! We'll have to play a few scenarios, have a few pints/pitchers/barrels of beer, and maybe even sing karaoke. :D I'm down for all that, dude. Except for maybe the karaoke. The last time I tried that was with Steve, and in Korea, where I butchered one of my favorite songs of all time :)

In fact, I'm (very) slowly making a comeback to the boards and posting sporadically here and there, returning from my long absence. Somehow, I was lucky enough to see this note from you. Also, I'm still planning on going to gencon, so if you're there as well, you'll have to put up with me shaking your hand and saying hi :)

Sadly, and what makes matters more difficult, is that (and I think I'm right on this) see invisibility cannot be made into a potion becuase it has a range of "personal" :0

So as not to leave you hanging, I'll just add a quick response. For Force Awakens, I thought the movie was great. No big twists or surprises, but it was well-shot, the characters were likable, it had entertaining dialog, and decent action scenes. There are many movies I don't end up liking because of the issues you comment on above, but I thought Force Awakens was far better than most movies to come out recently. For pathfinder, there are some PFS scenarios and adventure that have some of the elements/issues/shortcomings you describe above, for sure. But there have been a few that I thought were decent (both PFS and adventures), and one PFS scenario in particular that PapaSteve told me about (I didn't play it/don't know the name) that sounded so cool I wish I had been in the group.

Hey all, the Here Be Monsters 2 (monster design) contest is scheduled to start today. This is Mikko's contest, that he referenced in an earlier post on this thread. Steve and I participated in the first contest (did terribly), and had a blast. I hope everyone joins up to give it a shot. The schedule is up on Mikko's site, A Sword for Hire, and the theme the monster's are to be designed to should be announced today. Anyway, just wanted to prod everyone, in case they might enjoy participating.

It was supposed to be heartfelt thank you. I didn't want our feelings and gratitude toward you to go unsaid. Since I couldn't put it any better, I figured I should just let Willie touch your heart :)

And just in case I didn't tell you enough how special you were to all of us... here :)

@ Damien- I can totally respect your decision, and the intention to drastically cut back. I felt terrible when I backed out of Isle of Dread, but at that time I was getting overwhelmed on games, and you were very patient and understanding about it. So, one, thank you, and, two, I understand completely the need to cut back. There are zero hard feeling on my end for a decision like this. It's been great gaming with you and the games you've run have been some of the best I've ever had the honor of playing in. So, thank you very much for all the time and effort you put in. Also, I'll be very sad when/if you eventually stop completely, but I'm delighted you'll at least be continuing on with the drongos for a while yet! No worries at all, dude! You're the man.

Hey, dudes. I wanted to give you all a heads up that I will have a hard time posting today/tonight. I'm taking my nieces and nephew to the final fantasy-distant worlds symphony in Chicago tonight for their Christmas present. So... I'll be a bit tied up and will catch up on our games soon.
Male Level 1 Human Commoner
@ Silbeg: Hey, dude. I'll also have to pass on having Vox join up for the next Slayer's adventure. I'm trying to keep to 3 active games, and the Slayers would put me up to 4. So I'll be holding off too, sorry man. Hope everyone else has a great time though, and I hope everyone survives!

Hahaha, we're all cool everyone. I didn't mean to cause a big stir on this. I just thought it was a funny jab which I laughed at. Ibid will be there for sure, so long as he doesn't die along the way first :)

Hey damo, just wanted to say that I liked your Tip #1. I'm eagerly awaiting more of your tips to come out, so I can actually follow and use them in my posting. I read Tip #1 and immediately realized I didn't follow its advice in my very first post in Steve's First Step's game. Ugh, I need to work on my PbP etiquette, I don't know why you all let me in to the 'superstars'!

Ha, Steve! That'd be cool. It would even be cool if Paizo thought we could help with anything in any way. Just tell me what I can to do help, especially if it's running ideas for future adventure paths by me. That or asking me to write a module :) As for the forum location discussion... I can say that my vote would be for us to remain here on the Paizo forums. I like that the history/old games for this group is located here, and I wouldn't want to be disconnected from them. Also, it might be a bit vain, or maybe naive, but I like the fact that a lot of other people/groups use Paizo and can check into/see our games if they want (not that anyone actually does). And, one thing that painlord mentioned/eluded to at gencon is that this group has sort of carved out our own little corner on the Paizo forums, and in doing so we have sort of removed our selves from the general population in some cases, not that this bothers me at all, but I don't think I'd want to remove ourselves even more from community. Whatever the 'community' means in this case. These are just some thoughts off the top of my head. I know the forums crashing/eating posts/generally being stubborn can be a really big chore to deal with (sometimes), but even given all that I still think I'd like to remain here. I'll go with the group consensus though, if we decide to move on.

Hey Mikko, thanks for checking in, dude. A new scenario, that's great news, I can't wait to play it! Like Damien mentioned above, we're going to try and do gencon again, that's the plan so far. We can keep you updated if anything changes, but it'd be cool if we all could meet up next year. As for me, nothing much is new. I'm a pretty boring dude :)

Thanks for the kind words, dude. Steve and I had fun coming up with it. Originally we had no idea what actually happened in the mine/tomb, we just knew that something bad happened. But it was fun to write up, figure out a backstory, and, most importantly, hopefully it was not too much of a hassle for you all to slog through. The reason we wrote this backstory is also the inline with some the preceding comments about PFS in general. We wanted to try and make a more cohesive story to tie the characters together, which for us made playing them much more fun, and since the scenarios would have a hard time doing that for us, we just went ahead and had a bunch of fun doing it ourselves. Anyway, thanks again for all the kind words! And like Steve said, if anyone else wants to get down on the Cyrus/Ibid plot line moving forward, just let us know!

Dragon's Demand sounds awesome, but I don't think I could do you justice with my posting quality/frequency if I joined another game. So, I'm sorry, dude. I would really to, but I don't think I can manage it. Thanks for offering it up though!

Is this 'Chris' supposed to be me, Chris? If so, I'm here but just very busy with work and stuff lately, and so have neglected this discussion thread (a little). But I'm fairly (kind of) confident this comment wasn't actually directed toward 'me, Chris'... so, don't mind me butting in :)
