![]() You are goblins of the Licktoad tribe, who live deep in Brinestump Marsh, south of the hated man-town called Sandpoint. Once, other goblins tried to burn Sandpoint down, and they would have been legends if they had succeeded. But they didn’t bring enough fire, and got themselves killed as a result. Yesterday, your tribe discovered that one of your own had been using forbidden arts and was engaged in one of the greatest of taboos—writing things down. In fact, rumor holds that what he was writing was a history of your tribe! There’s no swifter way to bring about bad luck than stealing words out of your mind by writing them down, and so your tribe had no choice. You branded the goblin’s face with letters to punish him, which is why everyone calls him Scribbleface now, and then you ran him out of town, took all of his stuff, and burned down his hut. That’s where things got interesting, because before you all burned down his hut, Chief Gutwad found a weird box within the building. Inside was a map and a lot of fireworks—fireworks that immediately came to use in burning the hut down. Then, this morning, Gutwad announced that tonight there would be a feast in order to drive out any lingering bad luck from Scribbleface’s poor decisions. But perhaps even more exciting, all of you have been secretly invited to meet at Chief Gutwad’s Moot House. Why would the chief want to speak to you? It can only mean that he’s got an important mission for you all... one that the other goblins of the tribe couldn’t pull off. This could be your chance to go down in Licktoad history! ![]()

![]() There are paladins in Cheliax?! You'd think they would burn it down. You are right though. Asmodeous is about loopholes. But I was just trying to make an example. A cultural code of ethics would still be a personal code of ethics. Sure you pay your taxes, but do you feel compelled to report the fifty bucks your friend payed you to help him move. It was income. A lawful person would include it. A neutral person would not because it wouldn't matter. A chaotic person doesn't care. But enough of my long winded musings. ![]()
![]() @ DoubleGold: The presents of authority doesn't matter. A lawful person adheres to a personal moral code. Not out of fear of reprisal, but because it is in his nature. A lawful person does not lie. He does not cheat. He does not steal. Where as a chaotic person does. In fact, that is the first thing that pops in to his head, the easy way. A neutral person tries to remain lawful, but will take the easy way out if it makes the most sense. For instance, A person signs a contract. A lawful person honors the the spirit of the contract even if he finds a loop hole.In fact he would point it out. A neutral person would only use the loop hole if it served a purpose. A chaotic person doesn't care. What's a contract, it's just a piece of paper. ![]()
![]() As you step in to the gate you feel as if you are being pulled into water. There is a flash of white and you arrive. The room is brightly lit, tho you cannot see the source. You stand on a large blue tile. The walls and ceiling are smooth and white. There is twenty feet of blue tile then it turns white. On the southern wall is a small red button. Two hundred feet away you can see a large green button. A disembodied voice says "Please press the button." ![]()

As you finish Mailhain comes downstairs And says "Good morning to you all. I have found the Professor. But I am unable to contact him. Before I open a gate to him I need to give you a test. It's tradition. If you will follow me." He leads you to a set of stairs going down. At the bottom is a room with an assortment of adventurers gear placed on the walls. And in the middle of the room is a large arch made of some kind of metal and covered in arcane symbols Before you go I can tell you this you will not die while taking the test. You can be hurt but you will not die. If you are ready to take the test I will open the portal" ![]()
![]() "Yes I do have a modest library. If You would follow me." Mailhain rises and goes to the stairs. at the top of the stairs is a large double door that opens into a great hall (20ftx20ft) with three more sets of double doors. Mailhain Heads to the left and opens the doors there to reveal an even greater hall (100ftx100ft) packed with rows and rows of bookcases. "Books are my passion, or rather what they contain. These books have come from all corners of the Prison. Some were acquired as treasure, some as gifts. You can find a catalog in the middle and organized by a system created by a man named Dewy."

![]() @Stephen Knowledge (arcane):
On Faerun a wizard by the name of Ioulaum (the original creater of Ioun Stones) created What was called a Mythallar. A Mythallar was a Netherese (ancient human empire) device that allowed access to vast amounts of raw magic. This raw magical power was used to create Enclaves (floating city) and the Mythallars allowed arcanists to create quasimagical (cheap) items.High Arcanist Xolund the Maker improved on Mythallar design by infusing his enclave´s Mythallar with a rudimentary sentience, giving it self-awareness and also increasing the Mythallars powers; this breakthrough caused a great stir among the empires arcanists, but the fall of the empire prevented any further effort of duplicating Xolund`s feat, making the Mythallar one of a kind. Mythallars were some times referred to as Magus Eyes. This magical device looked much like a crystal ball but was about 150 feet in diameter. The globe shed a very bright light—similar to the disc of the sun—with dimmer shadows and shapes moving across its surface. An ornate stand kept the perfectly spherical device in place. And that's all you get
