Zalen stepped into his chambers during the squabble. After everyone has spoken he emerges no longer the boy in a hassock. He is in full battle dress with a mithral breast plate, blue robes of Quell and a trident.
"I lost my father when I was but 11 and never knew my mother. The church of Quell has been my home since. I came here and the chapter house here was in complete disarray and my father's Wave Riders had all gone their separate ways. Thanks to these good people their is hope again and they have brought you back together. Now I say to you, you followed my father now follow me and become the Wave Riders once more. These people cannot be everywhere. They are going to leave soon, but will return. In the meantime, we must take up the old mantle and help cleanse Port Shaw. What say ye?"

"As you have stated, I have only recently arrived in Port Shaw my arrival is neither a coincidence or unexpected. Razor Coast was not always submerged in scum and villainy. Once, proud heroes walked the piers and sailed the bloody waters with steel and spell prepared against the dark. The Wave Riders were such a band of brave adventurers and renowned heroes, who faced death without question or pause and looked evil dead in the eye with nary a blink.
Five years ago, the Wave Riders planned to ambush the Kraken and rid the shipping lanes of this fiendish terror once and for all. Masquerading their ship, the Trident, as a cargo freighter laden down with gold, they sailed forth to battle the Demon Below.
Unfortunately, the Ring of the Kraken learned their plan and passed it on. Warned of the intricacies of their strategy, Harthagoa brought a legion of bloodthirsty sahuagin warriors and ambushed the Wave Riders. In the resultant massacre, many of the heroes fed the Kraken, while others met brutal deaths between the sahuagin’s fleshshearing teeth.
Solomon Trafalgar, a chosen paladin of Quell and the heart and soul of the Wave Riders, fell in the massacre, crushed to death by Harthagoa. The Kraken dragged Trafalgar’s body to his deep demesne as a grisly trophy.
The surviving heroes, viewing the defeat of their steadfast leader, fled in disgrace. Since this demoralizing defeat, none have dared face the Demon Below. Nowadays, the only precautions available to a captain who braves the sea are prayers to Quell. Most ensure their affairs are in order before they set sail.

It was during the time of my predecessor so I can only go by the records. I know it has been quite a few years now at least.
Are there others that need healing?

They used to employ Tulita workers to work the sewers until there were too many deaths. Then they stopped construction and sealed off the sewers.

Zalen casts restoration on Silas and his levels return as they were not yet permanent.

After entering the rectory, he draws the curtain closed and casts detect good on the PCs. He will ask those that he cannot detect to please wait out side while he speaks with the others.

Yeah, that is really fun to scan and OCR Bill. I would recommend OmniPro if you are going to do it. Almost less work retyping it. Steve Edwards is a real pro at it now. I have turned most of my scanning work over to him.

Young Zalen has grown into the handsome, spitting image of his father. His golden-flecked blue eyes highlight long yellow locks of hair. On him, the aqua and deep blue robes of Quell drape the perfect body of a young hero in the making. His skin is sun-kissed, his teeth flash ivory.
