It all worked out nicely, I say. They were all tough fights, which often doesn't happen in organized play and probably actually sped things up since we weren't opening doors, fighting people then opening more doors and fighting more people. Instead, we opened up just a couple doors and fought people.

Ylosani examines the materials found after helping to vanquish the clockwork entity. They hold little interest to him, though he would prefer the blackmail material be destroyed rather than used. Once he determines there is nothing else to vanquish to clear this place, he takes his leave, giving the group a respectful bow as he departs.

Ylosani gives a single, satisfied nod as the mechanical snake falls to his blow. He scans the area then slowly, deliberately sheaths his katana. I'd like to know what's in that last room, but I don't have any objections to having the combat handwaved.

Ylosani is still not pleased that there is an enemy combatant that he can't see. But at least she hasn't attacked anyone. Perhaps she has actually fled. He's not so bloodthirsty that that would disappoint him. Winning the field is good enough for him, he doesn't need to slaughter all his opponents. Unfortunately, his heavy armor keeps him from being able to reach the snake and attack it. But he manages to get it between him and one of his fellows, setting it up for when he can strike. I put an X where he veered away to avoid the attack of opportunity. Otherwise, it was a straight line through Dasus after the diagonal step from between the pews.

Ylosani does not like the fact that one of their opponents has disappeared. There's not much he can do about it, though. Ylosani flinches as Yanda fills the room with fire, yet it somehow misses him. He gives her a nod of approval at her control over her art before taking a step toward her. Ylosani watches as Yanda's bomb lands...somewhere clearly other than where she was aiming. He glances back at her and cocks his head to the side significantly, remembering the conflagration they had to fight and fight through previously. Yet, he moves towards those flames, slipping further into the room. He finds himself on the opposite side of the metal serpent than Dasus but the other man is in no condition to distract it or provide aid. Nor has the snake attacked anyone but Ylosani, himself so his oath to protect others does not provide him any additional strength of arm. He lashes out with his sword at the snake, nonetheless. Seems like a pretty good time for a reroll. Will Save: 1d20 ⇒ 14 For a moment, it seems that Ylosani is going to succumb to the magical flash. Assuming he sees nothing of interest in the pool, Ylosani turns his attention to the remaining doors. There are still a lot so he just takes the closest one. Ylosani has little use for alchemical items and even less for alcoholic ones, so the room doesn't present much temptation for him. Ylosani has drawn his sword up, ready to cut down the undead abomination that sprang from the crypt. He finds it unnecessary as the newcomer easily cuts the creature down with a single blow. The last thing Ylosani sees is the gaping maw of the multi-mouthed creature. Then, he loses consciousness. When he awakens, he finds himself in a dark, unpleasantly warm place with very little noise. Ylosani goes quite still, moving into a stance with his sword in a defensive position before him but with his head tilted as he listens. For several long moments, the Tengu samurai simply stands in the flames, blinded but facing his strange foe. Onlookers will begin to wonder if he's going to remain that way and simply fight on before he backs away then turns and moves away from the hottest parts of the flame. Withdrawing.
