I'm still around

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

I'll definitely be jumping into that one. Mike do you know if Rob is going to be joining us? I heard him say something about it and I miss gaming with y'all so it'd be cool to keep up with the group this way.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

That's what becomes of those who kill my kin. Now you younglings get out or die this is my land and you shall not taint it any more.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

Than I'll just have to spend that swift action on my quick runner's shirt to grab a move action. Oh and I forgot to add my +4 to critical mastery so that's a 38 on the confirmation roll not a 34 my bad

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

I use one MP to supress confusion for the round

Vile fiend you will never corrupt my mind. Daisy my friend I will require your help to cure me of this ailment after this fight

I unleash a full attack on Shub-Niggurath. I get and extra 4d6 and +2 to hit and damage from holy and aberrant bane on my on-hand as well as the same bonuses from holy and mythic-bane on my off hand. All of these target his touch AC, and I get a -2 for the distance.

on-hand1: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (16) + 31 = 471d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (5) + (4, 3) + (6, 6) + 43 = 67
on-hand2: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (8) + 31 = 391d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (3) + (1, 2) + (1, 2) + 43 = 52
on-hand3: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (5) + 31 = 361d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (3) + (1, 3) + (6, 5) + 43 = 61
on-hand4: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (19) + 31 = 501d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (7) + (6, 6) + (3, 4) + 43 = 69
on-hand5: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (17) + 26 = 431d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (1) + (3, 2) + (3, 5) + 43 = 57
on-hand6: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (16) + 21 = 371d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (5) + (2, 4) + (2, 6) + 43 = 62
I drop my off had gun as a free action, load my on hand gun as a free action(rapid reload), and grab my off hand gun as a swift action (weapon cords) and then I continue my attack
on-hand7: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 171d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (6) + (4, 4) + (6, 1) + 43 = 64

off-hand1: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (5) + 30 = 351d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (7) + (3, 2) + (5, 3) + 43 = 63
off-hand2: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (11) + 25 = 361d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (2) + (3, 3) + (2, 3) + 43 = 56
off-hand3: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 20 = 321d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 43 ⇒ (1) + (3, 2) + (5, 6) + 43 = 60

I'm going to attempt to confirm the critical hit on on-hand attack 4. If it hits I do x5 damage and the variable of my d8 will count as an 8 for all dice rolled because of maximized critical[ooc]

crit confimation: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (3) + 31 = 34 [ooc]for a total of 274 damage on that one attack if this is a critical hit.

I have 5 bullets loaded in my on hand and 3 loaded in my off hand currently

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

I burn a Mythic Point to get a Nat 20 on my initiative for a total of 55. I burn a mythic point for surge on my will save.

will: 1d20 + 29 + 1d10 ⇒ (9) + 29 + (1) = 39

I go insane unless this is also a fear effect (an additional +8) though I highly doubt it the rest of my turn is dependent on what insanity I contract

I'm pretty sure there is an FAQ somewhere that says you can't have the same ability score affect your AC, Saves, To Hit, Damage etc. more than once

cleric is good but if you like the idea of wild shaping than Druid can buff itself quite a bit in animal form and it's animal form is pretty strong. Combine with a brawler or monk and you can still do a brawler's flurry/FoB while you're all boosted from your animal shape.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

My vote would be to go to my home land and kill the abomination Shub-Niggurath.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

I see we are all ready to travel now my friend. Who shall we go after Shub-Niggurath, Yig Father of Serpents, or the Dread Cthulhu himself?

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

I am ready to destroy the ones who took mt friends from me

Sorry the last month has been me moving, school, and getting a job. Things are less hectic so I'm back and ready from some killing

It's the same ability with the same progression so I was wondering if the Brawler's unarmed strike damage would stack with a Monk's unarmed strike damage so that a lv2 Monk/lv2 Brawler would have 1d8 Unarmed strike damage rather than 1d6 which is what a lv2 Monk or a lv2 Brawler would have as their damage.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

I learned from you Mr.Mike

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

If you're looking for items to grab I suggest Tomes, and Metamagic rods. As many as you can carry for whatever you think is cool. I didn't see a headband in your gear so that if you don't have one (I probably missed it though). A Robe of Protection, Dweomer’s essence are awesome they cost 500gp and give you a +5 to spell pen (single use item). A ring of evasion and one of freedom of movement. A tunic of careful casting, and a set of spell guard bracers. That's a couple of ideas i get for casters when I have the cash.

Its how much its worth not how much you paid. Though you dont have to add the artifact or scarab. Your particular situation is why it makes the difference because it would assume you went the entire time without having an upgraded weapon up to 12th level which I find impossible. We didnt get artifacts until about 7th either... this is why it makes a difference.

That's a more than fare point. I think the biggest problem is that I have the wealth of a 17th level character while you all don't. If you guys got your first mythic tier at 12 than going by WBL I would have 108k. That would put me with a +5 weapon knowing my play style. So even if I were to change my wealth accordingly that would still only drop me another 25K which isn't that much. I'm happy to do it but the wealth gap will still be crazy big.

Merlin my friend I appreciate your coming to me. Having found people who are of similar power to me...or rather it was you found me. Either way the threat to our world is coming to an end and I have you to thank for my...hope if I dare have it once again. I have lost far to many friends because of this catastrophe. Perhaps I shall be able to make some new ones.

Xavier wanders off to try and find some game for everyone to eat

1d20 + 29 ⇒ (18) + 29 = 47

After returning with his game he begins to prepare the food and remissness of his friends he has lost to the many horrors they faced. They survived longer in the wild thanks to their collective skills than the people in the city did but Xavier was the only one to survive.

How do you command the summoned during the time stop? Do you tell him after time resumes? I hope he's immune to death effects and or gets a nat 20. And just as a reminder you can't target him before time resumes you seem to have forgotten that earlier with your greater heroism post.

I'm going to point out a few things. So you're fighting Cthulhu and you drop 600 pieces of paper with exploding runes on them and since both you and Cthulu are in the air they fall so he's out of your range, second the exploding runes only have a 50% chance of hitting him unless of course they have true seeing...

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

Loot from Hastur:
Scarab of Protection (from Pandora's box)
Stone of Good Luck (LuckStone) 20K
Oil of Rallying +5K armor enhancement
Winged Boots 16K
12 potions of cure serious wounds

I'm updated and ready to go.

I would just like to say how much I love the flame wars in this site.I swear I could make a post saying "I like fluffy bunnies" and it'd devolve into the same crap.

I posted this question because the DM of my game and I were talking about Cthulhu and this question came up. It somehow changed from I have this rules question I'd like to confirm for my DM to Wizards are gods because I say so and I can cheese the game.

To the first handful of people who answered the question thankyou I appreciate it :).

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

Do Radsworth and Dr.Allison think a "Scarab of Protection" will be able to negate Cthulhu's death effect abilities?

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

For rare monsters the DC is 15+CR. Cthulu I would think falls under that jurisdiction

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

How much do we know about Cthulhu's abilities? Has anyone made a knowledge check yet? If not we should do that before we fight him so we can get items and prep for him rather than during combat.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

Mythic Champion 8
Beyond Morality Path Ability
+5hp

+2Dex, Unstoppable

Paladin 1

Unspeakable Presence (Su) Failing a DC 40 Will save against Cthulhu's unspeakable presence causes the victim to immediately die of fright. This is a death and fear effect. A creature immune to fear that fails its save against Cthulhu's unspeakable presence is staggered for 1d6 rounds instead of killed. The save DC is Charisma-based.

The way i read this you have to make a save every round you're within Cthulhu's unspeakable presence or you're going to die. Is that correct? Because if so that seems like it's completely geared to kill front line PC's who already have bad will saves.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

I just noticed that my last attack was a possible critical so I'm going to roll for it now. I have a X3 multipier because of Mythic Improved Critical

1d20 + 20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 20 + 4 = 35

Yes. Not considered a touch attack FOR THE PURPOSE OF Deadly Aim. I.E. it does not change how the Firearm works, but how DEADLY AIM works. Nothing in how you use the Firearm changes. If that had been what it did, it would have said "When using Deadly Aim or other Feats that do not work with Touch attacks, an Advanced Firearm no longer targets Touch AC" or something along those lines. You still target Touch, but it is not TREATED AS a Touch attack for the purpose of Deadly Aim. There's a lot of things worded like that in the rules (like an ability that treats you AS one size category larger does not actually change your size).

Ok I see what you're saying awesome I hate it when things are worded like that

Advanced Firearms: Advanced firearms resolve their attacks against touch AC when the target is within the first five range increments, but this type of attack is not considered a touch attack for the purposes of feats such as Deadly Aim. From the Paizo PRD

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

Excellent

Xavier raises both of his guns and takes a careful deadly aim at his target. Deadly Aim targets regular AC not touch AC I take a full attack action.

the additional +2 to hit and damage is because of bane, the additional 4d6 is from bane and holy

On-hand:1d20 + 31 ⇒ (18) + 31 = 491d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 42 ⇒ (6) + (1, 5) + (6, 5) + 42 = 65

1d20 + 31 ⇒ (8) + 31 = 391d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 42 ⇒ (5) + (4, 6) + (2, 3) + 42 = 62
1d20 + 26 ⇒ (12) + 26 = 381d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 42 ⇒ (3) + (6, 3) + (5, 6) + 42 = 65
1d20 + 21 ⇒ (2) + 21 = 231d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 42 ⇒ (7) + (1, 4) + (4, 3) + 42 = 61

off-hand:1d20 + 30 ⇒ (1) + 30 = 311d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 37 ⇒ (2) + (6, 6) + (2, 3) + 37 = 56
1d20 + 25 ⇒ (1) + 25 = 261d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 37 ⇒ (5) + (1, 4) + (5, 4) + 37 = 56
1d20 + 20 ⇒ (19) + 20 = 391d8 + 2d6 + 2d6 + 37 ⇒ (7) + (4, 3) + (5, 4) + 37 = 60

After firing his guns he drops his off-hand weapon as a free action, and reloads his on hand weapon as a free action.

Natural 1s are not a miss because of always a chance so I don't know if that 31 hit's The King in Yellow's normal AC but if so that's a hit

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

'Mania/Phobia" has an onset period of 1 day does this bypass that?

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

Round 6

Perception vs DC 30 to spot Hastur 1d20 + 31 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 31 + 2 = 38

Fool you think you can hide from me? I spot creatures 1/4 your size from twice the distance your position is as clear as day to me

Will save vs DC 40 insanity 1d20 + 22 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 22 + 6 = 29

Force of will to reroll that saving throw 1d20 + 22 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 22 + 6 = 35

I fail and become subject to a random insanity... the rest of my round is dependent on that

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

I use one point of surge to get a nat 20 on initiative giving me a 52

It is nice to see some friendly faces I've traveled alone for far too long since the great calamity.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

If everyone would like I'm willing to stay out of this fight since I'm over geared compared to you all or I can jump in whichever you all would like.

I'm going to add my initiative to the fight in case you all say yes and if not just ignore the post.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

You can increase your will save through the use of a cloak of resistance, a cape of free will, or increasing your Wis. It looks correct based off your character sheet.

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

Xavier teleports in

Are you all "The Fierce Ones" that I've heard of through the cleric's divination? My name is Xavier I come from Australia. I heard that you all were fighting off "The Great Old One" I'm here to help...If you'll have me.

I have much to offer from my experiences as a Wild Life Guide. I'm quick with a gun having gotten much experience with them from a past life. In other's I have trained against colossal size enemies and while I don't know much of those lives I do remember the skills I obtained from them.
