I finally had an epiphany about big tourist cities.

Just like San Francisco, after just a couple of days in London, Edinburgh, or Paris, I’m ready to flee town. And I finally realized it’s the crowds, the noise, and the pollution. Here in Paris the city is beautiful, the people are (finally) welcoming... but the constant need to dodge other people, the inhalation of second-hand smoke, vaping, and diesel fumes, and the neverending battle to actually get anywhere just wears me down quickly.

If Paris were 20 degrees cooler and empty, I could spend a month here poking around. With the crowds, I’d practically rather go hungry than go out again.

But we have a boat tour on the Seine, and it will be beautiful, and so out I will go.

I can take you to another city then amsterdam :P

I bought a 900 ml box of ice cream.

I served myself a modest portion and ate it.

Of course, as a responsible adult I decided there is no point in letting it freeze in the freezer, and the fridge is not cold enough to store it for later so I proceeded to eat the other half of the ice cream, solving the problem of storing it without risking a waste or inefficiency.

I approve.

My guess is 195 cm. He’s a little taller than Shiro.

That is reasonably tall. I was already imagining you all as super adorable small people. ;)

While the topic of children comes up:

I dont have kids. My brother recently got a daughter.

When I see pictures I know for a certain that if someone ever harms my niece I will tear that person to pieces with my bare hands.

it went. There's no...coming back...from what happened yesterday. It will remain with me forever, professionally speaking.
Well, sh*t. I don't know the details, but that sounds f*cking terrible. I'm really sorry.
it was. And still is. This isn't over. I will likely have to be interviewed and my job may be investigated, may not be depending. This could just be one angry semi-betrayal, or the complaints could have merit. I have nothing to hide, but still...this hurts. And it hurts the people I work with. Ah well. No choice but to be professional.

All the hugs.

I'd say "you gotta be joking" but as I have broken bottles open with you, I know you are not.

Correct.

In other news, I got confirmation that I'm being shipped out to the DC suburbs for another week of paradise. Oh Joy. Leave on Sunday.

I'm very, very sick of not being allowed to hire an on-site technician for this office. I don't mind traveling for my job, but that office makes me go bat guano crazy.

Im more and more convinced, the longer I am in this job, that jail time for arsony would probably be worth it.

*shudder* Kale....

I tried a recipe that involved honey and chili powder and a few other strong flavors in hopes of making Kale eatable. It failed.

I always wondered what this super healthy kale thing was and why people were obsessed with it.

Untill I googled it.

We've been eating this for centuries. Boiled, then mashed in with potatoes and gravy, and eaten with smoked sausage.

Weird people putting it in a smoothy.

I just have to say that the word you're looking for is "nibble". "Nipple" is completely different.
