I am relatively certain that Vinegar cannot attack the target as he has not been trained to attack aberrations or undead. Vinegar of course can tell whether it is one of these types even if Droo cannot.

reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 Mauls someone a bit--but just around the legs and groin!

Vinegar is fine laying down where he is after all the pork. The word "stake" has him intrigued as well.

Crates are the casks full of salted pork.

Swim specifically calls out needing to be trained in the skill to Take 10, which Bocke is not unfortunately.

Not here at least as far as I can see. In stormy weather you specifically can't take 10, but the skill itself isn't Trained only.
