With a faint smile on his lips, Vanya observes what is happening with the goblin.
Vanya moves forward in order to attack the beast.
Vanya grips his blade with both hands and grimly attacks.
His familiar takes a shape of snow owl and flies to safety.
Vanya draws his blade and stands next to Jaegr.
"Maybe a trip to Kaisersberg is in order. The bandits that wanted the box was from there, and that mystery still gnaws at me. Also, Vanya, your 'friends' at the inn were reporting to someone from there and I don't think it will be the last time we see them." Grim oprichinik calls his familiar to his shoulder and the little piglet instantly changes its shape to that of an arctic owl and flies to him. "I agree. We should travel to Kaisersberg."
"Yes. We should indeed depart as soon as possible..."
"Five hundred gold is too much money."
The raven flies down from Vanya's shoulder and as soon as it reaches the ground, transforms into small white piglet with baby-blue eyes. The piglet oinks rather forcefully at the goblin's wolf, while Vanya silently sighs and shakes his head. "As you can see, this is no bird, but a wolf. Although, with a strange sense of humor, I must admit."
Kirth, can you give us more info on languages in your setting? Since I have 18 Int, I can speak a large number of languages already, and when you add Linguistics to that, the number gets even larger.
A tall man dressed in black uniform and with white raven on his shoulder raises his eyebrow at the goblin. "Pray, do tell how do you think we are able to differentiate between goblins? Nice wolf, by the way. Here's mine", he points at the bird on his shoulder.
I think I'm done, with the possible exception of the sword - but I am really to tired to write it up now. I'll be able to post more in 24 hours, not before. So, if Vanya is good enough to go, I'll add what you deem necessary tomorrow, and if not - perhaps he will be able to rejoin the party at some later time.
I've considered it, but I've burned a lot of feats on my familiar. Do we have a healer in the new and expanded party?
Several questions: I see that you've included Magus and Wudan as new options for Battle Sorcerer. 1) What are your thoughts on Black Blade ability of the Magus Bladebound archetype? 2) Would you allow two arcane bounds, with an expenditure of a feat, let's call it Extra Bond? 3) I was thinking of playing an Eldritch Knight, but I really just want to have a familiar and black blade, if allowed. I am not that interested in spells, but what are your thoughts of witch hexes? I like the idea of patrons, thematically - I don't care about bonus spells - and hexes are pretty interesting to me. How about replacing Eldritch Blast with hexes? Of course, these are just questions. I do not insist on any of that.

But my gaming suffered as well, since I run my games and play almost exclusively online now.Vanya! If you want to continue, though, I'll find a reason not to -- your place is still here if you want it. Wow! Really? Well, I would love to do so. I'm checking your new rules right now. Although, I would like to rework my character, if that's OK and make him more of a martial type, perhaps shuffling around ability stats a bit (such as putting 18 in Strength instead of Charisma). So, if that's OK, I'm gonna rework him today.

You'll pass a big oak by itself; follow the slope there down to the creek, and you'll find his cabin among a stand of pines. Make sure you yell out as you approach; he may not be expecting anyone." "Frost! Where are... Oh, there you are! Flap your wings and go find that cabin... What do you mean, you are a wolf? Yes, I know. But you were a raven just a few hours ago... Oh, for Morana's sake..." The oprichnik throws his hands in the air and keeps on walking, ignoring his familiar.
"Black Snake. The name does not exactly inspire confidence."
"Why not?"
"Lead probably limits the power of that thing. I wonder if that is the case..."
"It would be wise to close the lid anyway and conduct our discussions somewhere else."
Vanya looks at the thing with a bit more attention than he usually displays. "This is not good. That thing is a Teufelkopf, a magical totem object carved by savage humanoids. It is supposed to expand the control of a fiendish ruler over its tribal minions, curse their enemies, and serve as a focus for malign influences. Some legends even claim the creature depicted can perceive the world through the object. Constructing one of these things usually requires a tribal high priest of some power, such as might appear among goblins only once in a generation. I fear that we are observed even as we speak, but I am at a loss what to do with it."
Vanya extends his blade and lounges at the fiend.
"Yes, I hate the idea of leaving a threat behind our backs."
"If are going in the wilds again, I must stockpile on vodka. And find that damn familiar again..."
"I'm wondering, should we get in touch with Royal Guard when we reach Aviona?"
"So, we are returning to Aviona, then?" [ooc]I know, but Vanya talks from his perspective.[/ooc

Oprichnik takes the wand and drops it in his backpack.
"I can't understand a word he's saying, although it is reasonable to assume that he is begging for his life - and I am of mind not to grant it to him."
"I'm gonna roast your liver over the ashes of your bones and feed it to my wolf!"
Vanya grinds his teeth and attacks once more.
"Morana, guide my blade!"
"You are as lucky as you are ugly, creature!"
Oprichnik calmly raises his blade and descends on the mongrel. "You shall die, dog", he murmurs with cold voice. "I have had enough of scum for one day."
Vanya snaps his fingers and casts a spell to protect himself in combat.
