Ursion nods his agreement. His usual friendly demeanor has been replaced by face filled with fury being restrained at great effort.

"I'm not sure what someone might want with his corpse, but this sort of desecration cannot stand." Ursion says, trying his best to contain his anger.

Good to have you back! I mostly check in from work and I am on a training course wednesday to friday this week. I'll also try to check in, but may not be able to during my normal working hours.

edit: course just got postponed to July sometime, so nevermind :p

If any are still standing, I will move in and attack

Ursion readies his shield and draws his longsword and pauses a moment to steady himself. "Keep your eyes open..." he says, and then enters the tomb.

Ursion waits outside the Dragon while the wizard and others retrieve their gear, his face clearing showing the worry he is feeling about the possibly desecration of the cemetary. This town has been through so much, they do not need another tragedy right now...

When the rest of the men emerge, the group heads to the cemetary.

Ursion steps forward to greet the city officials. He extends his hand to first the Mayor and then the Sheriff. "Ma'am... Sir. Nice to meet you both. I am Ursion. We've come to see how we can help Sandpoint meet this sudden threat."

"It seems we have a few hours to kill." Ursion says after taking a too-long moment to read the message out loud.

"I believe we were to talk with him more today, I haven't seen him yet this morning. We should also seek out the Sheriff." Ursion says to the wizard.

Ursion steps forward and smiles at the Tian woman.

"Thank you for the welcome. I wasn't expecting to see action today but I am glad these capable men were around as well. Please... I'll have the special and the house ale." he says over the noise of his stomach complaining. "As for a room, I'm sure you're quite full tonight, so whatever is easiest for you.."

Ursion observes the questioning and does his best to keep his face grim as Rhanloi gestures to the group of men while speaking in the goblins' strange tongue. When they seem finished, he addresses the wizard.

"Any useful information?" he says with a hint of doubt in his voice.

I'm lurking, typically. Didn't see a way to post yesterday without interrupting the questioning, since I am definitely observing it. (despite not speaking goblin, int 7... what ya gonna do? :p )

Ursion pulls a scrap of cloth from some hidden pocket and wipes down his blade before returning it to it's sheath. The young paladin takes a moment with his head lowered, uttering words too quiet for anyone but himself to hear.

Looking up, he says "Thanks, sir, I will also be glad to accept your offer. I am new in town and don't have permanent lodging as of yet, and I am glad to extend my search by another day."

Turning to the wizard, he continues "I would also like to question those goblins. This can't be allowed to stand."

Ursion moves in and joins Grimjaw's attack.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Can't see map, I'll attack whatever is closest / still standing.

I'm not terribly concerned with pace, though I could definitely handle it being a bit quicker. I try to keep a couple games on the go because I know they can be slow.

Just hoping GM isn't waiting for a player that has disappeared.

Have we lost Viluki / Archeak?

Ursion looks up from his task of binding the prisoners when he hears the scream. He picks up his gear and heads off to find it's source.

"I don't think this is over..."

I hope not! I want to play this AP...

Ursion closes his eyes for a moment and traces a five swinged shape on his chest as he moves to the North East, looking for the source of the noise.

If baddies show up before my initiative, I'll want to move and attack if possible. If they don't, consider this a double move.

Ursion can see that his associates have the goblins taken care of. He draws his longsword, readies his shield, and looks around for further threats.

Hearing the announcement, Ursion stands, and heads back towards the square. He finds a good view from the edge of the crowd.

My plan to get out of jury duty was always just act really ethusiastic and tell the judge that "I think I'd make a great juror because I can tell if someone is guilty just by lookin' at them!". Haven't had the chance yet though...

"Yes, I'd say that I am. Nice day, good people, and no signs of trouble." Ursion replies.

While strolling around the perimeter of the vendors, Ursion spots a few of the fellows he met last evening.

"Good morning!" he calls out. He approaches Zariel and extends his hand and then addresses him and the rest of the group, "I imagine last night might be somewhat blurry for you, but I was pleased to meet you then, as I am now. I am called Ursion, are you enjoying the day?"

I thought I was also not going to be able to check it from work, but looks like it's working well enough from my android phone. Should work from iOS devices as well! You don't get full features, but it's enough to check the map and move your guy.

Ursion attends the opening speeches and afterwards begins wandering through the crowd, meeting people and talking to merchants. He samples food, but no alcohol for the time being. He is dressed in his full armor and cloak, his warhammer and shield slung on his back, helmet strapped to his side displaying his holy symbol prominently. His longword is in it's sheath at his other side. He has spent some time this morning cleaning and polishing his gear to look his best.

Ursion takes care to appear friendly and casual, but also takes it upon himself to keep a careful eye out for any wrong doing as advised by Sheriff Hemlock.

I have a sling as a ranged weapon, (I plan on buying a bow eventually, but this was most effecient at first level, 1d4+4 sounds better than 1d6+0 or 1d8+0), but I'm not terribly good with it. In pretty much all cases with a group of melee mooks, I'll be wanting to get in there and soak up some attacks, and then deal some back myself.

Oh yeah, I'm all for just giving it a shot, just thought I'd mention that.

Viluki: don't withdraw for the parties sake. By all means, withdraw if you're not feeling it, but don't do it because you think we need someone else. We'll get by either way.

Any thoughts as to how practical this group will be? We've got lots of strong guys swinging sticks, not much ranged, a full caster, and not too much in the way of heals. I am open to making some slight changes (if DM permits), such as going ranged or getting more focused on healing.

What do you guys think?

Wow, that's a cheeseball line eh? It's right from some of the only official text about Ragathiel, but still... might have to try to come up with something I can say with a straight face.

Until then, may Ragathiel's eyes fall upon you, and his wings cover you.

I suppose if the book was quite heavy... Sword still seems like a better choice though.

A book? I'm afraid I can't help ya, I never got much out of those... but ogres, that's something I can help with. If evil creatures are terrorizing the countryside, they'll have my blade to deal with.

Hello folks!

Ursion is from the city of Magnimar, where he has become involved with followers of the Empyreal Lord Ragathiel. He was born with a birthmark that bears a remarkable resemblence to the five winged form of Ragathiel's holy symbol. As such, he eventually began training as a paladin of the faith, which he has now completed. His order has sent him to the nearby city of Sandpoint in order to help spread his faith there (while remaining close to home, for now) and to find ways to assist the community in it's healing.

... suddenly now worried about the tale of the incredible shrinking paladin... I think I'm the only one with heals I saw here except for the Cleric of Milani.

Also, GM, my profile here's been updated with a character sheet and some slight tweaks from when I first created it.

edit: well, no heals at level 1... but eventually some minor abilities...

I am definitely interested as well.
