Cool beans. The campaign I am running.. Klokk is an actual character.. hes recruited people to help run the city of haven, which the players promptly renamed from outpost w2.

The reason the reinforcements are coming from Eberron, is that the door leading from Golorian World to This World only opens on the worlds timeline of march 21. The Eberron door to the hall of worlds is open.

The Chamber has taken an active roles in the fight against dreaming madness you could say. An ancient golden Wyrm known only as the golden one leads them.

So if you wanted a draconic bent that is possible. Or bound to one of the houses.

You will need to choose one good/neutral organization that you belonged to before volunteering for this mission.

Hail and well met friends I am opening back up recruitment for a Kingdom Building homebrew game. A group of heros have braved the Hallway of Doors to arrive within a new world. They have come from Galorian and Eberron to help claim this new place.

As of right now they way to Eberron is closed for another nine months.

All new characters MUST come from Eberron.

Use that for feats/classes/races information for creating your characters.
I am allowing any 3P class or race.

You are however restricted to good alignments at this point. IF you do not detect good, you will be slain.

There are no racial restrictions.

The city residents are almost all Warforged, There is a unit of 101 Lizardmen that have taken shelter within haven, beyond that tiss all warforged, beyond the other members of the Council.

Character Creation Rules:

Any Class 3pp is allowed.
Level 2
+1 GM Bonus in Survival per HD
Fast Advancment
Any Race 3pp is allowed, Pending it exists upon Eberron.
2 Traits (any, no "stacking" restrictions) IE you can take 2 magical traits if you wanted)
1 Disadvantage(if you want a 3rd Trait)
All Attributes start at 8. You have 20 Points to build with at a 1:1 Cost. (18 would cost 10 points)
Before Racial Bonuses you can have a Max of 18 (for 10 points)
You can take 2 from 1 stat at most.
Hit Points are MAX for everything PC/NPCS/Monsters.
You have 1000 Gold pieces to kit yourself out with.
You have 1 MW armor or shield of Light or Medium.
You have 2 MW Melee weapons of your choice
You have 1 Common ranged weapon of your choice (with 100 rounds of ammo)
You are given 1 Scroll of 1st or 2nd level.

Feats: Most d20 feats are allowed.

Magical Items are Created using 3.5 Rules (1/25 GP Value in XP cost)
All feats from 3.5/d20 that effect magical item created are allowed.

Firearms[b] Are treated as Commonplays Guns. While still tricky to wield, early firearms are readily available, requiring simply a martial weapon proficiency. Early Firearms are 25% of the listed baseline prices. Anything other then black-powder is still rare and full price. Need Craft: Gunsmith to make anything more advanced then muskets. Gunslingers gain +1 rank per level to Craft: Gunsmith.

[b]Dragonmarks
ALL warforged are treated as if they are Human in reguard to the Marks of Making. They are full members of House Cannith. No abhorrent marks. It is the power of the Creation Forge in continual operation that enables these various True Dragonmarks to Manifest.

Magic
Divine Magic
You are your deities bridge to this world, as such all powers work normally and you are free to choose your spells as you would. Your holy symbol is a medallion that appears around your neck when you arrive bearing your deities holy symbol, regardless of what it was before you came though here.
Arcane Magic
You gain Read Magic & Detect Magic as extra 0th level spells. Even artificers gain these infusions at will for free. Each level you gain 1 spell (or infusion or what have you) of your choice and a randomly determined one from me.
Mental Characters
You gain 10 free PSP. (beyond that I dont know enough about psi-stuff to assist much beyond that)

I am seeking players for the following Roles

The Explorer ensures that the Kingdom can explore and claim new lands. Without your assistance No exploration is possible.
benefit: You may issue exploration edicts. You control of a team of 10 Warforged Ranger Artificers.
Focus Skill: Knowledge: Geography.

The Marshal ensures that the kingdom's laws are being enforced in the remote parts of the kingdom as well as in the vicinity of the capital. The Marshal is also responsible for securing the kingdom's borders. He organizes regular patrols and works with the General to respond to threats that militias and adventurers can't deal with alone.
benefit: Add your Dexterity modifier or Wisdom modifier to Economy.
Vacancy Penalty: Economy decreases by 4.
Focus Skill: Survival

The Spymaster observes the kingdom's criminal elements and underworld and spies on other kingdoms. The Spymaster always has a finger on the pulse of the kingdom's underbelly, and uses acquired information to protect the interests of the kingdom at home and elsewhere through a network of spies and informants.
benefit: During the Edict Phase, choose one kingdom attribute (Economy, Loyalty or Stability). Add your Dexterity modifier or Intelligence modifier to this attribute.
Vacancy Penalty: Economy decreases by 4. During the Upkeep Phase, Unrest increases by 1.
Focus Skill: Sense Motive

The Warden is responsible for enforcing laws in larger settlements, as well as ensuring the safety of the kingdom leaders. The Warden also works with the General to deploy forces to protect settlements and react to internal threats.
benefit: Add your Constitution modifier or Strength modifier to Loyalty.
Vacancy Penalty: Loyalty and Stability decrease by 2.
Focus Skill:Knowledge:Engineering

All of you are coming from the world of Eberron. Things are different then as Written as this takes place within the campaign universe of my character Klokk.

House Cannith has been reforged into one house headed by Elanthis D'Cannith, Grandson of the Gorgen. Warforged have been welcomed to join as full members. WF can develop the Mark of Making. The Mourning Lands have been cleaned. Cyre has been reclaimed. The 12 Houses have assisted in the rebuiling and the lightning rails run again. Cyre IS NOT Subject to the Treatry of Thornhold, as the Price of Cyre was refused access to sign the treaty. SO he has allowed house cannith to move into Cyre and reactivate the creation forges. The population of cyre is 50% warforged. It is a mecca for the warforged, they have been coming from all over Eberron, In far greated numbers then they did for the lord of blades.

When you come you are sent by one of the 12 houses, or by the chamber. No Exceptions

I am changing the construction rules slightly and will make note when I redo the main page links and such this week.

Its minor: Just removing the cap of X Constructions, Buildings, improvements per Turn.

I am also not having you guys worry about the houses that are supposed to be attached to various buildings (like the Houses attached to the Trade Shops) I am still charging you for them, but I "The Table" will handle the accounting for them when I give you your BP gain from the month in phase 1.

Short Version: Houses associated with buildings you create will be deducted from the month you finish the buildings in Phase One when we do the weekly turns.

I am still going to maintain the can only claim 3 squares based on size as per RAW.

You guys are size 26 after claiming 3 squares this month. it changed from 2 to 3 hexes at size 25. So I figured may as well count it this month as you guys reached that landmark size

Verio - I think your here still but not sure. If he is gone as well, Then we also have Heir + Marshal open.

Neither Thutmose nor Usul responded so that's 4 spots open, 5 if I open up the High Priest role to PCS.

As I was doing it, I realized I screwed up in april, you should have had more coin.

But the bottom line is its fixed now and that wont be an issue again.

Over today Ill be editing the profile of This Personia to reflect the kingdom and barony of haven modifiers. (you become an dukedom' at 25 squares, you have 22. a kingdom at 100 and an empire at 1000 square size

I am home, a friend came over when I was gone and cleaned up my computer area.. so Ive no clue where my notes are.. my maps, Anything.. She is not a gamer, was just trying to be nice.. but Expect something from me on Saturday. Im going to sleep now.. and not going to use the computer tomarrow.

It was just bronchitis, but this is the 15th year ive had it in a row.. and never before needed to spend a night, let alone most of a week in the hospital.

But im going to take it easy next couple days.. BUT this campaign has been hanging for a little bit so, I want to get things moving again. Magister If you want to PM me anything you would have yourself do over the next three months, beyond what you said at the first real council meeting. I don't know how much access you will have to the net/this campaign when you are gone so we can try to coordinate things.

My Goal is to get each week here on earth being a month of relative time for your characters. Perhaps twice a week even.

Just giving you all a heads up, just spent the past day and half in the hospital. Even though I took extra care with the crazy cold I ended up with the bronchitis. Add having smoked for 23 years and quit 8 days ago.. My lungs and such are going crazy. Im still inpatient,at the va here. Using my dad's tablet to make these posts, ive read nothing between my last posts and this one. As either your DM or fellow player I had to tell ya all whats what. No clue how long its going to take me to kick this. But like I said doc said maybe discharge me tomorrow.

Just a heads up to play ahead what you want to do for MAY. Ill be posting as soon I get and able to do math to add things up.

To the best off my offhand knowledge you guys have either 10 or 12 BP, if you count the 2bp worth of gemstones brought back in april. The shovel will let ya build up to 10 BP worth of things.

Im just converting back to BP from Krowns for ease of reference right now.

I havnt forgotten about you guys.

To claim the silver mine or gem deposit you need claim the hexes in the route to it, you own basically everything that is built at, I don't think you claimed anything in april, I have to recheck. I don't have the focus atm to do so. If one of you want to go back the "april" session and just get that same format going, it make things real easy. Consumption will gain .05BP as your still not yet consuming 1 full BP of foods.

The 300 square miles (10x10x3squares) of very good tasting apples, It probally means Something. I mean the trees were sorta organized into rows and lines over all three squares, it was obviously overgrown. and what is vary strange (common knowledge) is that apples generally only grow in the fall, they should not be in season for almost 6 months.

Your calling it a hunting ground because that is what It looks like. There are the bodies of hundreds, if not thousands of timberwolves in a valley tucked into that mountain's embrace. You have heard of Elephant graveyards, but never a wolf one. So your first thought is that someone or something summoned all the wolves there, then killed them. All that is there now is bones, none of the bodies look like they died in battle all appear to have died naturlly.

Everyone expect for Resnit I need to know what your doing for the month of April. Hes going to go into the detail of his two missions, but its finals week for him so that's going to be delayed a day or two. Which is fine because what he finds or does should not effect any of your actions for the month.

For this time. There are 4 weeks in the month.
1 week is council duties 100% or wakin time.
3 weeks remain. each of those weeks you can do 1 thing from the downtime rules. Going to do it weekly, not daily as it will just get bogged down too much. That and the daily results are just a weekly result /7.

Warforged or sleepless people you can choose a 2nd or 3rd action for the same day, just know if you do 3 things a week, you will no access to your spells/prayers/powers as they all require 8 hours of rest to regain.

I 09 it will only take you about 3 days to get back so you decide to check the plains you passed through earlier, its a good thing you decide to go back there, hiding under some tall grass and in a some overgrown underbrush you find some ruins. You don't have the time to explore as the month is almost over.

Funny enough things work out perfectly both expeditions left at the same time and arrive within minutes of each other the day before the month is over.

Everyone on either expedition returns on April 27th at about 2200.

Marshal/General (i think you two are the ones I boosted to 5th at start) They can be sixth and have leadership free if they want, not that either would have personal followers yet, but the potential certainly.

Far as time.. I was thinking a week at a time for the four weeks in a months action. perhaps could just do the whole month at one time as well. I really am not sure what would be best format for play by post. a post per day will be vary slow, imo

Go ahead and roll a couple checks Feorina to see how well you interest them. Roll a Diplomacy check to start it off see how much they care about even listening to you. Then roll a Knowledge: History check for each world that you would speak the history of. The finally roll a Craft: Wordsmith or Profession: Oratory or Profession: Teacher check to see how well you take the history lesson and turn it into a good story. If you want to spend a week doing this with downtime, ill give it a much lower dc. My scanner gets back again tomarrow, ill be posting the first week of Aprils events after get it squared.

Need to know if it is tied to the Iron or Copper mine. will increase production for that mine (+1econ & +1bp of that metal)

House:(1) Grants -1 Unrest. This is a number of mid-sized houses.

Tradeshop:(1) Adjacent to House. Grants +1 Economy & Stability. Grants Haven Town +1 Productivity

The start of May the following changes will take place.:

Haven Town changed the following ways: +500GP Base Value, +2 Productivity

Haven Kingdom changed the following ways: +1+1+1=+3 Economy, +1+1=+2 Stability, +1-1=+0 Unrest, Either the Copper or Iron mine will gain +1BP production.

Income Phase
Step 1: No withdrawals from the Treasury.
Step 2: +0.5 BP from phase one.
Step 3: No Expensive sales of items for crowns possible until build market and establish a trade route somewhere.
Step 4: No Tax rate set, so no taxes are allowed to be collected.
Step 5: Determine Costs from Above Phases.
Expedition 1: Desert 4BP+ Expedition 2: Mountains 2BP+ Foundry 16BP + House 3BP+ Trade Shop 10BP = 35BP
Step 6: Pay Costs. Treasury 36.5BP End of March. +0.5BP -35BP = 1BP.

Im sorry, had issue with my mouse randomly not being a valid usb device, its been sent to mfg and new one in route. borrowed a Bluetooth one from my dads work in meanwhile. As you have looked around town this week it some things do not add up at all.. There should be a population of over five thousand souls here in Haven, by right of all the buildings and improvements and what not. But there isn't at all. Something strange is going on but with all the craziness of being in a new world and meeting the warforged for the first time, who knows whats going on really.

You are correct 1 house does not count against the limit. far as by you saying shop.. you have to pick specific buildings from the list of buildings on the right so by shop I assume shop. there is no office persay. and there is a library. My brother just got his server working again, he had some upgrades to do to it. So this weekend/next week I will get haven built and show you guys what it looks like it with a fraps recording after its built.

the week before the council meeting passes:

I know you know this already but the week pased with no outside encounters.
-Resnit spends the week learning as much as he can about the Desert. Both Expiditions will gain a +2 vs any Heat/Fire effects for Month 1
-Girander and Usul spends the week patroling the lands of haven and getting a feel for it.
-Bastion spends the week training with the troops, getting a feel for their capabilities and creating a small wild flower garden near the Inn.
-Feirna spends the week retaining one of her feats and earing
-Fabricator spends the week assisting with mining, Studying and planning.
-Thutmose spends the week researching the Deathless and listening to whispers around town.
-Verio spends the week reading everything he can on rulership and getting used to the various functions the Table has.
-Avelloran spends the week getting used to the librarium and figuring out what path he wants to take our education and learning.

Verio has suggested a Foundtry and Mill.

Verio has suggested creating a unit of AdamantineForged – The table points out that you have zero adamantine with which to do so. You can create PsiForged or standard warforged & you can arm them with any light or medium armor. You need silver and gold to before you can make heavy armors.

What Size Army and which type of Warforged do you wish to create it out of?

I know it was asked earlier what you do past level 20. here's a more detailed answer then I gave before..DM asked us all to mail our sheets to him.

Resnit You can actually have two groups of explorers out. One that you lead personally consisting of your private unit of elite woodsmen and whomever else you wish. And one either led by or the marshal or warden or one of your woodsmen.

That's the benefit of having an Explorer, its a whole second expedition so to speak. You have the final say of any expeditions that take place father than 1 square from claimed land. Anything 2 or more out you have to approve. So if you are in the field, it can not be launched. And if you die no expeditions can happen until you are replaced. So don't die :)

I just got home from most the day up there with mom. Still docs have no clue whats going on with her. They ruled out tons of things.. but still a big ? whats what. I havnt had the time this week to compile things, w mom ive been a bit distracted.. I do want say one more thing slightly different topic but since its on rules. Since the Pathfinder/Psi stuff i am still learning the rules on. Its another form of magic. Arcane dispel magic will effect your mental tricks. but likewise you can dispel magic with your version of the same.

IF that's why your looking at going arcane class for a little bit or for that matter if anyone else that's arcane is worried bout not being able to effect a psi creature if i throw one at you to try and figure it out it shouldn't be an issue. So like SR=PR in other words they are one and the same. if you get +SR from two things that would stack normally they do. if you get +PR from two things that would stack normally they do.

One slight difference. Detect magic will not show psionics and detect psi will not show magic.

everyone with the exception of the 100gold already issued to people and taken out of the big chest already (not counted in the 2000gp) beside your characters has zero copper to their names. In history for those of you that do not know Eberron lore.. the warforged work for free/repairs they have never been given a salary. Pre-Council things have kinda worked on a nbg system. take what ya need, put back more then ya took. That changed when you all sat down on the chairs. Warehouses became "locked". all supplies awaiting your issuing there of next week.

Think of it like this. With magical capital.. your basically making an everburning torch. That is all you can produce right now with downtime, until you run into another culture to sell your stuff to OR Kingdom of Haven buys it from you at whatever price you can negotiate with the treasurer.

That's the downside to basically be stranded in a somewhat high magical/technical setting on what you assume is a Vary-very remote coastline in a world that is with the exception of about 60 square miles is unexplored.

You do indeed have that 100gold from the chest, I thought you spent it as on your sheet it says 5gold. If you still have it. That will cover your feat retraining. The other 50g you have will cover 1 day of magical capital building. Which will require be based off whatever check your class would use to research new spells. On day 7 if you want to earn more magical capital you would need an additional 50g for that.

But as Kingdom of Haven has exactly 2000.00 gold in the treasury, that request may or may not be approved.

I am not going to allow it you to earn capital without the coin the invest in it.

Reasoning: :
Coin is one of main balancing factors in the downtime rules, beyond time it is the most important foundation of them. If you want to really be technically the only capital allowed to be earned is GP -- Which Haven would have to pay right now as that is the sole source of GP in the world atm -- If you have a craft/profession where you can make something from stone/wood/iron/copper/potatoes/grapes/fermenting wine.

Also because you can not start crafting a magical item without having its material costs on hand I am applying to magical capital as well.

The huge problem with earning Goods/Magical Capital that you all have to overcome..

There is exactly 1 market that you can sell to.
The sole market is Fabricator in his role as the Treasurer of Haven and the heir who has no restrictions unless he gives himself some. Those two are the only ones that can approve where even a copper of Haven treasury goes to and Klokk too as Ruler but he already said hes leaving it in your hands.

In order to have a viable market other than the Kingdom of Haven you need one of three things to happen.
1 You need to find other civilizations and set up at least an embassy there and a trade route.
2 Give the Council, citizens and troops a salary. Of which you have that 2000GP in the big chest. If you want more coin you need to build a

Mint:

Cost: 30 K(Which would take 100% of your current Crowns (BP/K)

Function: This is a secure building where the kingdom's coinage is minted and standard weights and measures are kept.

For example, Month 1 you build a mint. Month 1, you have the choice to dedicate one of your mines to produce copper coins or iron coins (you have 1 of each mine) instead of K's for the treasury.

You can earn Labor/Influence freely if you wish.. there are a few hundred beings in haven after all. just magic/goods until after next week if you negotiate with the treasurer at the council meeting for the raw materials.

The Librarium consists of four such libraries. One of Planes, One of Spellcraft, One of Metallurgy. One is empty shelves.

Using the Librarium grants +1 passive to all skill checks of those three knowledge's.

Retraining will cost you 50 gold (10x Character Level x5 Days(for a feat) You have 5 gold. You cant do that this week unless you can convince one of the two people with access to the treasury to give you the remainder of the coin.

Far as the Earn Magical Income
I need a Knowledge check Arcana/Religion/Spellcraft/Psionics(think that falls under planes). *Note this is your skill, added as you can with your abilities but no item can aid you.. only skills/feats.
You need 50g to earn 1 point of magical Capital (worth 100g)

So your week Feorina will cost you 100 Gold, Will get you the feats exchanged and a portion of that magical capital depending on your roll total.
