"That's fascinating. Seems like you have an efficient system going here. How many can you do in an hour? Do you have a quota? With the cost of this, I imagine the admins want you to go as fast as you can. 'Time is money' as they say. So when everything is in place, you just push this," Tavin says as he reaches towards the screen.

Persuade: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (5) = 6

I'll hit the button if not stopped, trying to keep the tech distracted from looking up at the gem. Not sure what to roll.

Dexterity: 1d6 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + (5) + 2 = 12

"Hmm, interesting. I can't imagine what we're charging for these gems to cover this expense. I wonder who's buying them. Any thoughts?" Tavin asks.

Persuade: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (5) = 7

In case that doesn't go anywhere and to move things along if it doesn't ...

Tavin shrugs his shoulders. "Anyway, how do you know what lens to use?"

Perception: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + (3) = 9

Seeing the others start to spread out to engage the techs, Tavin moves over to where the mirror and lenses are stored.

"Did he say you can refine the lenses to 73 nanometers? Is it really necessary to be so precise?" Tavin says to the tech as he looks things over trying to determine what he could do to sabotage the equipment.

KNOWLEDGE: 3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1) + (5) = 15

Sorry for the delay, it was a busy week.

I'm still trying to learn the system, and I forgot most of what I had picked up earlier, lol. Won't I use my 4D in Knowledge for the roll? Although my 2D in Perception might limit my interactions so Mal may still have a better chance at success with the "Beam Emitter"

I'll roll under those assumptions to move things along and we can adjust if needed.

Tavin hesitates as the rest of the group picks a variety of colored uniforms. Uncertain if the group should know what ones to pick, and not sure if the group should have one of each, he stands in front of the rack with a confused look on his face. "Uh, what's orange for again? I can never remember," he says while scratching his head, hoping the valet droid hears him and chimes in.

I'm still here as well.

"I'm Tavin," Tavin says in introduction as he moves over to assist Honey. "Any of you have any computer skills?"

Technical (Assist): 2d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 1 + (6) = 11

Seeing the guard pointing a blaster in their direction, Tavin quickly moves to the side, out of the doorway.

"Whoa there! No need for that. Drop the blaster and you can go home tonight. We're not here to kill you. We just need to make sure you're not going to sneak up behind us," Tavin yells around the corner.

Assist Perception (persuasion): 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + (4) = 7 Of the 3 of us, I'm lowest at 2D vs 3D for the others so I'll just help but wanted to post something to help move things along.

Tavin moves closer to the group but continues to keep his eye on the door by the lift. Room B

Tavin hands Honey one of the blasters before scanning the room to assess their options. @GM - are there any keypads at the doors?

"I didn't find any passes that would allow us to unlock any doors. It seems like we need to get in there. Got another grenade, Honey?" he says, motioning to the guard room.

After grabbing the blasters and cred sticks, Tavin stands back up in time to see thr gaurd duck back into the room next to the group.

"Careful, we got one in this room to our left," he says as he move up to the door.

Taking Mal's suggestion, Tavin moves over to the downed guards to grab anything useful. He frequently looks back down the hall they came from to make sure nothing is coming up behind them.

With the 2 closest guards down, and in the relative safety of a hallway, Tavin decides that less people knowing what is going on is probably better so he draws his blaster and fires at the camera in the corner above the dead guards. At least that's where I understood it to be.

Draw and fire Blaster: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 6) + (2) = 14 Blaster damage: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 4) = 14

Tavin looks to the others to talk their way out of this one. He wasn't used to dealing with people and knew he would only make matters worse if he opened his mouth.

Perception: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + (2) = 7

"Hmm, so who's watching that feed. We need to get into the security system if we want to continue walking around here. That, or someone's going to have to talk our way past these guards," Tavin thinks to himself, trying to stay calm.

Sorry to hear about your kids getting Covid. Hope they recover soon.

Tavin listens to Honey's explanation of the different uniforms. "I agree that red could attract too much attention to us. I actually think a combination would be best. It makes sense for Honey to be in grey. I could do white. One or two of you in black could allow you to carry your weapons openly and the rest in green," he says as he looks for a white uniform in the right size for him.

Tavin seems relieved that they were able to bypass the sensor and hadn't set off any alarm yet, at least that they know of. He inspects the maintenance room and waits while Honey takes control of the bot.

"Does anyone recall any info on how these crystals respond to heat? If it could ruin them, maybe turning off or damaging the cooling system could be useful. Otherwise, doing anything to it would just bring people here which isn't our desired result," he says as he listens to the group's developing plan.

May not be the worst time to spend a character point...

Thanks, still learning the system and forgot about that. I roll 1d6, right?

Use character point: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Ugh, where is the eyeroll or facepalm emoji?

Tavin takes a deep breath before trying to bypass the sensor. If they weren't successful, security may be waiting for them on the other side of the wall.

Security: 2d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 1 + (2) = 8

While knowing how to use a sensor, he wasn't really sure on how to override one. He did his best to follow what Honey was doing, but felt he was failing to keep up with her.

The dice giveth and the dice taketh away.

"Well it looks like it might be easier than I expected to get through the wall. I know we have blasters which might do the job if everyone concentrates their fire. Unless someone has some explosives, I'm not sure I want Honey to create something. Her and I are going to have to work on the sensor while the rest of you do the blasting," Tavin says as he shuts down his pack.

Sorry I'm not helping with the pacing of the game. Learning a new system is making me hesitate trying to post as I also need access to the rule book. I'll try to pick things up.

Tavin tries to keep up with where they are going but after a while it's difficult. Once they come upon the sensor, he listens to Honey's analysis.

"Ok, that might work. But we're also going to have to get through the wall. Let me check to see if anyone is on the other side," he says as he starts to scan for lifeforms using his sensor pack.

Sensors: 4d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 6) + (1) = 24 grr

Yeah, I'm still around. Sorry for the lack of posting.

Tavin was glad to be out of combat. While he knew how to use a blaster, he didn't seem very good with it. He's probably trained with it as a necessity as opposed to focusing on it like some of the others seem to have.

When given the option of dealing with Davika or Martya, he trusts the other's instincts and follows. Staying off of Davika's radar for as long as possible would give them more options on how to succeed in their mission.

He listens to Martya's story and appreciated the background info on the planet. When she mentioned the sensors, something clicks in his mind as he seems to be familiar with them.

"I might be able to disable them but I'd have to be in the room to have access to them. Honey might have better luck going through their computer system," Tavin adds.

Not having a clear shot at anything, and not being able to hit much even when he does, Tavin happens to see Honey hold up some creation. He wasn't sure what it was, but he had a feeling he didn't want to be around to see what it was going to do and moves back into the alleyway behind him.

Attack Black again if Greff doesn't take him out. Otherwise, another 5' move to the right, looking for a clear shot on someone. Then save an action for dodge.

Blaster w/ MAP: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 3) + (1) = 9 Blaster damage: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 6) = 16

GM Therenger wrote:
You can move 1 square (5') for free.

5' move it is then

With the easy target having moved behind the wall, Tavin steps out to take a shot at the nearest enemy. So if I just step out from around the corner is that free?

Actions: Move?, Fire and dodge. I'm not adjusting for the move in roll

Blaster w/ MAP: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 4) + (5) = 12
Blaster damage: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 6, 2) = 15

Sorry, I couldn't move my token when I posted earlier. Not sure what the issue was.

Feeling a little more comfortable being out of the direct line of fire, Tavin scans the area to see what opponents are left standing. Seeing 1 across the stall by a column, he draws his blaster and fires.

Fire and dodge

Blaster w/ MAP: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 2) + (4) = 10
Blaster damage: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 1) = 7

Perhaps it was all of the activity of the bazaar or maybe the gritty feel in his mouth from the air, but Tavin was oblivious to the odd request of the old man. It isn't until the man raises his voice in an argument with the women, that he starts putting things together and notices the men pulling out weapons and firing.

[i]"Oh, s$^%!"[/b] he thinks as he looks for a way out. Trying to put some distance between himself and most of the thugs, he turns and runs for the hallway behind him.

Move and dodge if needed.

Dodge w/ MAP: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 4) + (1) = 9

Tavin considered their options as he ate. While he certainly knew how to use a blaster, he didn't seem as skilled as some of the others. Gathering information and getting someone inside seemed more natural to him. As they walked to the marketplace, being back outside in the dust reminded him that they needed some masks if they were going to be here for a few days. He wasn't really interested in permanently carrying a keepsake of his visit to this dustbowl in his lungs.

Streetwise: 3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 1) + (6) = 14
Perception: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (5) = 6

When approached by the old man, he looks around at the group wondering who was supposed to do the talking. He scanned his fuzzy memory, trying to remember.

Tavin was replaying the memory over in his head, trying to see if anything else would come back to him. His attention quickly comes back to the conversation at hand when Rel draws his blaster.

"I don't know about you but I don't want to be stuck on this dust rock any longer than I need to, so I'm willing to take help from whomever I can get it from. Let's try not to kill our contact," he says calmly, not wanting to end up the next target of Rel's anger.

"Do we have any timeframe on when we need to get this done?" he turns to ask Afar, hoping to get as much information from the man as he could in case Rel can't be talked down.

Sorry, I got nothing to compete with Warren's work schedule but trying to catch up.

Tavin rode quietly into town, taking in what he saw. He felt a little uncomfortable with the crowds, but wasn't sure why. Entering the building, he scans the room instinctively.

Perception: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (1) = 3

Unfortunately, all the dust in the air outside got into his eyes and he can barely see. He tries to find his way to the bathroom to wash his face, if that was even possible in this place.

When the ship finally lands, Tavin takes a moment to collect himself, glad they were still alive. When the captain gives everyone their equipment, he looks through it hoping something will spark his memory as to who he was. Nothing jumps out at him as a clue, although he is glad to see an all-temperature cloak to help the heat.

He listens to the captain as he looks through his gear. While it was disappointing that he didn't have more information, he wasn't surprised.

"Do you think the bandits were specifically after us or were they just pirates trying to rob a freighter?" Tavin asks the captain as the group gets ready to leave.

Getting slammed back and forth against the bulkheads, Tavin tries to steady himself to assist with fixing the landing gear. Maybe if the could get planet side, they could get away from whomever is attacking them.

Aid (tech): 2d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 1 + (1) = 7

Tavin looks down at his android companion. "Ok, another system fixed. Where to next? Eventually we'll need to land and being able to communicate might be useful? Why don't we work on the landing gear and the other group can take on the communications system. Where to?," he says as he follows the droid.

Action: move to fix landing gear

GM Therenger wrote:
Honey, Mal, and Warren gather at the nearest terminal and a quick diagnostic reveals the following ship systems are still down: Sensors(fixed), Communications, Hyperdrive, Aft-facing Shields(fixed), Landing gear, Food storage, Water systems, and exterior doors and hatches.

@GM - How do you want us to roll the wild die?

I was adding it as a second roll on the same line.
Some are rolling it separately.
Some seem to be doing both. :/
I also saw a roll that added the wild roll to the main roll.

Adding it seemed useful as it gives the total but I didn't know if you preferred everyone use the same format.

The beeps this time didn't sound encouraging. "What is with all these wires? It looks like a bowl of spaghetti. How am I supposed to know what goes where?" Tavin says as he tries to help.

Aid (tech): 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 6) + 1 = 121d6 ⇒ 1

Grabbing a wire to see where it goes, there's a spark and he's holding the end of the wore with no idea where it wemt.

Just as he's about to follow the droid to the sensor array, the ship begins evasive maneuvers and Tavin has to balance himself to move.

Dex to move (easy): 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d6 ⇒ 6

Moving into position, he then waits for the droid to start working on fixing the sensors.

I'm assuming the knowledge roll on the transport would only be for those that can see it. Also, would that count as an action?

Guessing by the intonation of the beep that they were successful in repairing the shields, Tavin looks around for the next thing to work on. "Where do we go to fix the sensors?" he asks his metal companion.

As the group reorganizes what tasks tjey are working on, Tavin moves over to assist the other droid. "Bo beep?" he repeats to himself as he tries to figure out what the droid is asking.

Languages: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1) = 41d6 ⇒ 2

"If you're asking if I'm here to help, then yes. If you're asking if I understand droid, then no," he responds as he tries to assist the best he can.

Aid (tech): 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 6) + 1 = 111d6 ⇒ 5

Sounds like the droid and honey should lead 2 teams. One to fix power and the other to fix shields. Or due to difficulty level maybe everyone tries to fix power.

Tavin was relieved that the boarding was repelled. "Seems some of these guys are better with blasters than I am," he thinks to himself. He's about to pick himself up off of the floor when the ship loses power and the artificial gravity.

Dex: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 81d6 ⇒ 2

Tavin struggles a bit to right himself, as he listens to where everyone is going. "Pilot? Hmm, I don't think so," he thinks as he tries to remember what he can do.

When someone calls out for help, he heads in his direction. "I'm right here. I can see if I can help. Are any of you pilots?"

Tech: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 5) + 1 = 71d6 ⇒ 4

We roll a wild die on everything, right?

"Whoa, that's a mess. Maybe we do need the android here to help."

so if I understand correctly, I have 3d6+2 for blaster and this would be my second action so I'd roll 1d6+2 + 1d6 for the wild. Slim chance I can hit so it looks like I'll only be firing once per turn.

Tavin tries to clear his head and figure out what is going on as he gets ushered down the hall. Figuring he needs to stay alive to worry about it, he grabs the blaster and moves into position as directed. Hoping to catch the attackers off-guard, he also fires at the intruders.

Blaster: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d6 ⇒ 3

Saved Dodge: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d6 ⇒ 1

wow, I'm not very useful in combat.

Here's a first run for Agamer70's character. Trying to decide if I want to deal with the extra rp of a disadvantage and if I need anything else for equipment. This is my first Star Wars character so I'm open to suggestions.
