I wouldnt mind seeing a battle for Varisia! Korvosa finally making Magnimar come to heel. A multi staged war in which geo-political influnces come to play. Where villages are turned to one side or the other. Who will join who? Riddleport and Kaer Maga. How do they play? Or will Urglin and the orcs invade? Will the shoanti rise again? So much stuff there. What about a what if? Queen Ileosa was saved by adventurers and is still queen. So many ideas for that area.

The last baron holds out and cheliax finally takes that stretch of land. An evil campaign in which the players instead of fighting against the "Last Baron" save him. I ran a campaign in Falcons hollow where it all lead up to them helping the baron and trying to stand the siege long enough for Chelish forces to come.

I have been playing pathfinder from the very beginning. Ive ran many of the campaigns as a GM and totally loved the lore. Today I read for the first time 2e and to be honest I was shocked by some of the changes and or modifications.

Getting to my main question. Ive always enjoyed the Empire of Cheliax. I noticed there was not a Cheliaxian ethnicity in the main core rulebook. Was this purposely removed from the game? Or I guess the root of all Cheliaxians is from Taldor I guess...however, I thought they had become their own distinct ethnic group by now.

OK,

There was an event that took place in which my character was killed. The question is if a characters death was caused by disruptive other parties could the death be repealed?

Scenario...

I just moved to an area and contacted the local group in the area. I started playing with my character.

1st issue...There is a player which was warned about cheating (lying about dice rolls) and also being disruptive.

2nd issue...Im the tank about to open the door for a boss battle. The whole group is stacked on me going into the door. The team goes into the door and starts battle with boss. Now for no reason said disruptive player goes away from the battle and starts opening up doors and aggroing mobs and setting off traps which downs half the party. The party leaves me while fighting the boss to rescue said disruptive player. Then leaves me to die while they escape and game over. Several characters die from the event because of the disruptive player.
1st Question
Can I honestly petition the results of this game as a disruptive player ruining the game?
2nd Question.
If the answer is no..Then can I have him resurrected by new character (brother). Just the game never sat well with me and have not played PFS since 5/11/2014. I am coming back but still old wounds linger.

So everything can be grandfathered in? Such as I built a noble from Cheliax and had his family be of one of the houses of cheliax.

To the honorable Paracountess and allies of Cheliax faction,

This is a report of last weeks actions. One of our dear brothers has been killed in action after years of honorable and faithful service to the cause. Sven Von Jeggare of the house of Jeggare was killed in action when he went out with a new pathfinder society team. He died bravely committing to a rear guard action that helped save the lives of 4 members that were horribly wounded. Two of which had been taken out of action due to their wounds.
I wish to say it was a glorious action however I can not. A gnome after being told not to open a side door decided to do it. The resulting trap took out half of the party while the other half was in the middle of a battle. It was Sven that was left behind while the survivors fled. Since Sven was in the thickest part of battle he was unable to retreat. Let this be a lesson to us all of the evils of chaos and chaotic allies. Only with Law and discipline may we prevail. Know your enemies but also know those who you would call allies.

With the release of Pathfinder online I hope that our faction may be able to extend our power with-in this game. That is why I would like to request that this thread may be used for us to help coordinate a effective pre-group/guild before the beta is released. To ensure that we may see a New Cheliax be chiseled from the River Kingdoms area. For other guilds and groups are no doubt already being formed I believe the discipline and motivation of our faction will do us great credit.

I did the losing battle in which they were eventually overcome by endless tides of Andoran troops. Listed as traitors and denied by cheliax they ended up being exiled to Varisia to start a new life. From there I launched several other mods for them to redeem their careers and their futures.

I may in fact try to rerun this in a future date for the sole reason of trying to win the battle for Cheliax. You guys have provided great story plots for that.

There is no word in any written language that could compare to the joy of your return and our Headquarters to based out of Korvosa. I have been born and raised in that city. Before I take my leave to the worldwound I will make sure to provide you the dossiers on the operations that I have been conducting throughout Varisia.

I hope that when I am away the operations that I put into place to see Korvosa the true power in Cheliax not to be put to the sideline. Once Korvosa controls all of Varisia then surely Cheliax will accept Korvosa back info its loving embrace. Then I am sure the House of Thrune will reward us greatly for making it all possible.

That is good news you indeed bring. When can we expect a report or a visit from our Paracountess? I have been wishing to meet her for some time. When I had arrived here she was already in hiding.

We can only hope that what our Paracountess ment was only for the best for our faction. However Father Amedeo has brought up very good points. It has been over 4 months with out leadership. Good order and conduct must be maintained and the position must be filled.

However I must marvel at our ability to adapt and overcome our set backs. In the absence of orders we have exercised appropriate actions. We continue to stand by the House of Thrune and work for the betterment of Cheliax and our beloved faction.

We must all focus at the tasks at hand. Our last mission given to us by the Paracountess. More then likely this came straight from the Throne in Cheliax. Our beautiful Empress deserves our best. I would not doubt there our spies all around us looking for weakness or even Egorian spies keeping tabs on us. Let it be known that none in our faction broke from duty. We didn't get caught up in corruption or sidelined by temptation. That is the fate for those of weak hearts and enemies of our faction.

Father well met, I am honored to see a man of faith in these walls. It seems that we have had a absence of leadership for some time. I know not the state of things in our homeland in regards of finding a replacement or if our Paracountess will return.

What I can say is that we were given the task of influencing Varisia. If this is the wish of the House of Thrune and the Lord of Law then I will crusade to bring our light to the frontier of darkness.

However it is always good to see fresh blood here in these walls. Hopefully we will be able to continue to carry the faction onwards and counter our rivals.

I do wonder who then will replace her and when? We can not have a faction with no leadership. To do so would to invite chaos and disorder. We do need a firm hand on the tiller. While other factions are making headway we must be able to counter them and excel. Hopefully the house of Thrune will appoint someone quickly. Less we forget we are at war in sorts. A very real "Cold War." The Church of the Lord of Law also must be able to support the candidate chosen. With uniting both church and state behind a person we all we become stronger.

Well back in my hometown I played for 4 years a sandbox campaign in which we were located in Korvosa and Magnimar.

Character background

Sven Von Jeggare of the noble house of Jeggare which is in Korvosa is also a house of some power in Cheliax. Raised with no inheritance of Titles or land. So will have to push out on his own and forge his destiny with his own hand. However being a noble of House Jeggare does have its perks with resources.

Goals
Wants to make a name for himself in Varisia. He wishes to be as famous as his ancestor that helped co-found Korvosa. Will continue to push Korvosian politics and ideas vs Magnimar. I suggest that you are wasting your time putting coin and effort into Magnimar. Those peasants know not what true beauty and culture of the arts are. Korvosa for example has a amazing theatre and opera house that provides both classical Chelish and Taldor plays. I am a large supporter of the arts because of the rich history. As a chelish person our two peoples share a common heritage of the arts. If you ever wish to tour our lovely city I would gladly accept such invitation. I am writing to report that I have given my support of several scarni groups with-in the city of Magnimar. I have freely given armaments and military training to some groups to aid in bolstering their power with-in the city. Any profits of course will be kicked up to the regional bosses and of course you here in Absalon. I hope this missive reaches you dear friends in good health. I wish to report on this weeks progress that has been made here in Korvosa and Varisia. By order of our noble Paracountess and with the faith of our faction I have put in action the following plans and have found the following.

1. It has been confirmed by some contacts that no less then two other factions have built headquarters in Magnimar to help increase their influence.
a. I have started to counter this by starting a branch of my security business in Magnimar. I have sent some of my best men to start a small offshoot. We will only work to break even on profits. This will undercut competition and we will try to gain the confidence of the population countering other factions efforts to sway public opinion to their faction. The headquarters is located in Underbridge. This helps us stay away from the watchful eye of our enemies since the vast majority of the population in that sector are transient and the government has given rule to the street gangs here.

2. We will contact agents of the underworld there to aid us in intelligence gathering. The Scarni already have a good network there and we will forge an alliance. Also we will try to outfit and train our own pro-cheliax faction scarni gangs starting in Underbridge. With military training and equipment they should be able to become a major force in the area. Plus augmenting our already impressive numbers of loyal soldiers.

3. I have also made moves to insure Korvosa still remains resistant to outside influence. My family of the house of Jeggare controls most loans to other noble houses in the area. It will be detrimental to their house if they so choose to ally with the factions that our in competition with us.

4. I also will give up my own estate for the use of the Cheliax faction to use freely. We promise always a warm bed, a good meal, and safe walls. I also have a vast collection of Cheliaxian pepper Whisky. Feel free to donate funds or gear for other members here as well. We are one team one fight in the war against foreign influences and countering Magnimarian influence.

5. Continued security for trade resources moving in our region. I have procured contracts to guard convoys.

Future exploits
1. We are looking into the possibility of funding a piracy expedition against Magnimar shipping. We will have to form a business in Riddleport for this potentially. However we are lacking funds needed to engage in such a venture. Since funds have already been tapped in building up a presence in Magnimar and the materials needed to outfit and train future minions to our cause. Also it is always expensive to fund the network of informants we have cultivated in Korvosa's region and expanding into traditionally Magnimarian areas of influence.

2. Will continue to look for investment opportunities to aid in the financing of this "COLD WAR" we have here in Varisia.

3. I will be moving personally to lead operations in Magnimar. I will not suffer to allow foreign invaders to help bolster Magnimar.

Human/Cavalier/LN because I am not a saint nor am I a devil. Sometimes you got to put a couple folks in the dirt for others to realize you mean business. I live by my code of honor, not anyone else's.

2. A brief back story on the character you have in mind along with the circumstances that had you end up in Branderscar prison. Intrigue me, pique my interest.
My Great Grandfather first immigrated here from noble Cheliax. He started multiple businesses and even attained a title here. He fought for the half-blood Kings right to rule and was slain in battle. The new Kind forced my Grand father who was only a boy to kneel and give fealty to the new Tyrant. Some people call our King a gentle and good man. I see a man that condones genocide against his own people. If you have the wrong faith here then your dead. I spoke these thoughts to other nobles. I tried to organize a peaceful Kou-de-ta however this Dictators spies captured me and charged me with Sedition!! Sedition!! Those blind fools cant see I am trying to bring religious freedom to all? Toss ME in jail..Going to execute me! A noble of house Jeggare!! Those watered down nobles are going to pay.
3. Your character’s personal goal/motivation for revenge upon Talingarde.
Did I mention I didn't like being in prison? Oh yea the ones that put me here are going to pay. This trumped up Religious extremist Dictator we call a king's head will be on my wall. Then what?..Well there needs to a righteous King that's a true patriot of the country. So why not me...eh? I like Emperor..hmm sounds nice..or maybe a new province of Cheliax. hmm....

In the dark cell thoughts of the betrayal of his country he loved so much surfaced in the noble's mind while playing with his family ring. I am going to die because I love my land too much. Yes, technically it was sedition but its for the betterment of our country. Those fools think they are so special..The noble started thinking of the what "ifs" of his past. The grimace appeared on his face when his thoughts lingered on his first love. That elf girl..It was more of a one sided love affair. She laughed and scorned him for being human..now that his death approached he came to a sudden conclusion...Sometimes you just need to clip an elfs ears. the sudden statement in the darkness was loader then he meant. The guards heard it no doubt. Probably whispering about how crazy he was. He was called by the judge..oh what was it? The judge said I was delusional with thoughts of grandeur. They will pay. The nobles, the judge, even the damned King!!...Laughs came from outside. The guards heard him. Yea and those two as well the young noble whispered while playing with his ring...

5. Your posting habits, activity level, PbP experience and whether you have played WotW before.
I am rather active with checking this site. I should be able to be on several times a day. I have played DnD for over 10 years and switched to pathfinder. Ive played Dark Heresy, Black Crusade, Only War, Warhammer Fantasy, D20 future, and James bond RPG to name a few tabl top games. This will be the first time online however I think this will be a great group of people. Hope I get into the game.

i am very interested in playing a evil noble!! haha...I can go Fighter or Chevilier. I do evil nobles well. haha....Human with noble scion feat of House Jeggare..One of the traits will be rich parents and the other I will have to check out that book u mentioned. Mainly to look for anyone thats close to murder or assualt on someone.

I am very interested if you will have me. I hear this takes place in my beloved Korvosa. I love that city. I am in all the way. I usually play a Chav or fighter with the old noble scion feat of House Jeggare. That means I am one of the nobles of the city of Korvosa. I have played for 4 years in the city of Korvosa being my home city so I know my way around the area well enough.

I will probably run a Chav. DM just tell me what lv and amount of gold I will have. Also how many traits we can have. After that I will make you a direct combat guy that will aid your party in both downtime and realtime issues in game.
