2 1st Spizz pulls out a ragged, dog-eared book from a pouch. He flips through it intently. He squints carefully at the text. Then he looks at the axe that came from the ceiling. Finally, he starts to laugh. "Spizz understands! Axe and ask sound like same word! Very funny! Kobold have joke like that too, but probably less funny for soft-skin." He puts his book, which a quick glance shows to be a dictionary in common back into his pack. Spizz will grab something that still retains some shine for his "hoard."

2 1st Spizz watches Djack curiously. After the human dive-rolls out of the way, he says,"Spizz is thinking maybe in future, you let Spizz open doors?" To punctuate this, he floats a piece of debris into the air with the lift spell. Basically just mage hand, but for Words of Power. "Less painful for Djack-Horsefriend, no?"

2 1st "Yorg have many friends?" Spizz asks innocently, peeking from around Elias's leg. "Spizz likes having new friends. Maybe Yorg also be friends with Spizz?" The inkling of an idea comes to the kobold. "Spizz small, but Spizz can shoot fire from his hands! And Yorg very big. Spizz could ride on Yorg shoulder and shoot fire at bad guys with stick throwers or nasty birds, while Yorg protect Spizz from metal sticks and stones! Smash and burn together!" He makes some crashing and fwooshing noises to really sell his point. "Best friends!" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

2 1st Spizz squawks comically and makes a big show from running away from the tongs for a little while before his laughter gets the better of him and he collapses on the floor. After a little bit longer he stands again, wiping his eyes, and brushing any dust off his meticulously cleaned golden scales. "Much more fun here than in Spizz old home. Big spider gave Spizz a shock, but Spizz feel much better now. Thank you newfriend Quince."

2 1st Enamored by the shinies, Spizz rushes forth, ignoring any potential danger to grab the biggest, most, cumbersome, non-kobold-friendly, axe he can find. Assuming that doesn't kill me... == "Look at Spizz! Grrr! Spizz mighty Bar-Barian! Eat a whole sheep, slaughter a whole dungeon, and then do it all over again!" He swings the axe and nearly topples over. [b]"Take that evil monster! Spizz the Bar-Barian wears no armor, for it would conceal Spizz's large, oiled muscles!"[/ooc] Untrained perform comedy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 It's not great character work, and his squeaky voice grates irritatingly as he tries to emulate a gruff barbarian, but it's still somewhat endearing.

2 1st Spizz spends a few rounds hyperventilating, he did not enjoy that spider encounter at all. After he calms down, he says, "Very dangerous for Kobolds. Nasty poison. Sometimes will move into caves we lived in. Then it was a big fight, or we move somewhere else."

2 1st "In Spizz experiance, kobolds only get one mistake. Then they are eaten by bigger things. Or sometimes just bigger kobolds. But maybe that is what make soft-skins so special? They make many mistakes, but they forgive too, and help each other learn." Spizz begins counting on his fingers. "In Spizz cave, most kobolds die before second cold season. Those that live to be grown usually die before 15th cold season. Violently."

2 1st Spizz pops up, no longer moping about Pious's departure. Now he seems excited once more, although it's a little unclear if it has to do with meeting new people, or the prospect of another breakfast. "Spizz is Spizz!" His shiny gold scales glitter in the sunlight. "Master Scorcherer!" He looks to Ellas, and then back to Yoltzin, "Yoltzin ByBirth is a famous softskin? Tell me (Spizz) what makes you(?) softskin famous!" There is no malice in that question, only an overeager curiosity.

"Friend-Pious not want to be around Spizz anymore?" he asks Rocko. For a second, the little kobold looks very sad, but then shoves it back down. "Spizz and Rocko go to fortress? We are hero(s?), we do more good things for softskins?" He seems to be mostly oblivious to, or ignoring Elias, and cannot really tell the difference between elves and humans. Or men and women. In fact, most non-kobold races were a mystery to Spizz, but one that he was eager to learn more about.

2 1st Well I'm a blaster caster, so a buffer/debuffer wouldn't be amiss. A ranged character wouldn't be amiss either, considering that we have 2 melee characters already, but you can never have too much melee. In terms of optimization, I'm relatively optimized to have big numbers fire damage, but not to the point of being dual blooded, and probably to the detriment of being able to do anything else. Spizz can do face skills pretty well, but can't sense motives for the life of him. Pious can on the other hand though. I've always been partial to bards, they help round out a lot of parties quite well. A freebooter ranger could also synergize quite well, but it's really up to you guys! Hope that helps, feel free to PM me as well if I can help any more!

2 1st Sorry about my radio silence! Finals season hit me hard, but I should have a bachelors degree now, so that's cool! Spizz, being awed by buildings, and having spent the majority of his life in a cave, does not have any ideas on where these bugs could have come from. In fact, he seems unimpressed by the zap sticks, which in his mind pale in comparison to the technological disparity in the culinary arts between his cave people, and a small town. "Spizz need small rest to get big fire back! You all see the big fire Spizz make? Most fwoosh of any Kobold back at Spizz-home!" Turning to FriendPious, Spizz states, "Thank Pious for standing in front of poor Spizz! Metal make make magic hard." He points at Pious's armor, and demonstrates the full range of movement that somatic components require. |
