![]() Smert looks to Fandral and says unconcernedly, "I only have spells for me and friends." Sorry all, I only have spells for myself and the undead I control. I have access to my arcane bond, but that would use up its key role as my versatility. So I am quite disinclined to part with it for such little group gain. Also, Smert is a little off his rocker in that he only views the undead he controls as friends. He's not being mean, just crazy. ![]()

Thus gaining: DR 5/ Bludgeoning; Darkvision 60ft; +4 vs mind-affecting, disease, poison, sleep, and stunning; +2 size bonus to Str and +2 nat armor. Also, In this form, he will detect as an undead creature (such as with detect undead, but not with magic that reveals his true form, such as true seeing) and are treated as undead for the purposes of channeled energy, cure spells, and inflict spells, but not for other effects that specifically target or react differently to undead (such as searing light). ![]()

![]() While Smert would not make these arguments and would likely burst into tears at the thought of losing his friends due to discrimination (he's kinda not all there upstairs), maybe some other tactics minded character would raise theses points. *Undead are almost always quite effective against other undead. They are not susceptible to many of the things that some of the more powerful undead do.
OOG reasons *This is what my character does. It is basically a pet class whose 'pet' is whatever the scenario throws at us.

![]() I will not harp on this, but I will say it once, I spent resources to animate those spiders, 2/5 of my animate dead spells and 1,500 gp. Reasonably, necromancers do not get to keep raised undead from scenario to scenario. But tossing my resources out so cavalierly seems a bit unfair. I have said my peace and will accept whatever you decide. ![]()

![]() Something I would like to remind my fellow players of, though I am not intending to sound any bit pushy or such... As we have lost our healer, my undead are the only members of the party with disposable hit points. I am not saying that they should do all fighting, by any means. I am merely cautioning our gung-ho front liners about being as gung-ho. I would prefer to not be the only surviving party member when this is all over. ![]()

When he does this, the spider begins to glow purple as well. "Spencer! Help with plant!" Bolster: As a standard action, you can touch an undead creature and infuse it with negative energy. It gains a +1 profane bonus on all attack rolls and saving throws, as well as 1 temporary hit point per Hit Die and a +2 bonus to its turn resistance. The bonus on attack rolls and saving throws increases by +1 for every 5 wizard levels you possess. These bonuses last for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum 1 round). The bonuses and temporary hit points are immediately dispelled if the creature is within the area of a consecrate spell. "He would not make good friend, but I could make into friend." Honestly, if he doesn't want the character to be brought back, I see no problem with making the character an undead. In his excitement, he pulls out a bag of black rocks and spills some on the ground. He quickly picks them up and says a quick incantation. Animate Dead! I will be animating both of them.
