"What good news?" Caeller asks thinking about the openly hostile demeanour of Jominda towards him. "Ah, you mean about the Harrowstone. Yes. And our fellow Gibs here didn't play possessed this night. But I guess I'll keep him here a day longer. Just to be sure and for him being an ass generally."
male Human Ranger 2
Caeller is not stupid and as Jominda turns around to show he is no longer in the room. From outside he calls back "Stop doing that in the early morning. There are people who need their sleep." before hurrying back to his office. He really wonders if those ghosts had some contagious crazy on them.

At the first explosion Sheriff Caeller jumps up from his chair. He listens carefully and walks out of his office. With the second explosion it is clear where it comes from. He hesitates at first but at the third explosion he walks to the apothecary - determination on his face. He opens the door, walks in and demands to know "What's going on here?"
male Human Ranger 2
"There is no argument about what he did. And that is enough to keep him here for a few days. And either you succeed and he stops acting like a demon. Or he's going to face a judge about what he did. He might have to face that anyway." "Did you hear that, Gibs? Wish them luck! It's your only hope to save your neck." Caeller teases the prisoner.

"Morning?" the Sheriff replies looking at the sun standing high already. "Yes, I did, but Gibs and writing are nothing that makes a pair. And since the night is over he is back to his old self. Which is only a slight improvement as he rattled on the bars ever since insisting he did nothing that justifies him being locked up." "And Miss Fallenbridge isn't helping either."
male Human Ranger 2
"So we get another night we're in danger of something bad to happen?" the Sheriff asks. The dark under eye circles telling what he thinks of having another night watch before him. "I'll go prepare for the night then. Best of luck to you." He lifts his hat and returns to his office.
male Human Ranger 2
"I just wanted to give you a heads up on what's going on here." the Sheriff explains. "The thing with the watch didn't work out as a lot of people are too scared to walk around at night. And even though I and my deputees patrolled through town all night, we missed when it happened." "And to be true, I was hoping you had some news that this will end soon."
male Human Ranger 2
"Nay. The prisons inmates had nothing to do with Ravengro. And I do no records as none of my predecessors did. Only bar brawls and sometimes something that is stolen. I just hope the undead stop coming and it goes back to this easy life. I hope you find what you search to end that." the Sheriff replies as he shakes Kendra's hand.

The Sheriff pats Father Grimburrow on the back. "You lead your group of overambitious villagers there. I'll take care of the perimeter watch with Councilman Hearthmount. Good luck." He then continues to the Councilman and together they approach the villagers on the Councilman's list to get them to join in.

"Hey! Listen!" the Sheriff shouts. "You leave through the benches and the middle aisle. And you stop pushing. Everyone going over benches, pushing down people or trampling over someone can walk straight over to the prison. There I'll let you rot for the rest of your days!" Intimidate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

"Yeah. Hello." the Sheriff says tipping his hat at the audience. "Well, we have seen in the recent days that the memorial at the river was smeared with blood at two nights. Someone is smearing letters on it. So far I got no idea who that is. But maybe I'll set up a watch to catch who ever is that." the Sheriff tells. "That's all." He steps down form the stage.

Sheriff Benjan Caeller - NG middle-aged male human ranger 2 Ravengro itself has never been a crime-ridden town (despite—or perhaps because of—the presence of Harrowstone), and its relatively small jail has always been more than enough to handle the town’s criminals (mostly public drunkards, vandals, or other minor thugs who rarely spend more than a few days in a cell). Indeed, the cells are typically empty, which is fine with the town’s sheriff, Benjan Caeller. Yet despite the town’s dearth of criminal activity, the sheriff likes to keep a tight lid on things by employing four part-time deputies.

"Hello." the Sheriff greets all - a bit surprised to find such a large round here - and takes off his hat. "I just wanted to check on you how you are recovering." he tells Jominda fiddling around with his hat and avoiding her gaze. "I'm glad you're well again - I mean as good as can be expected under the circumstances." "I'm sorry this happened to you. I got you this" the Sheriff says holding out a bottle of red wine. "Shall help with anaemia."

The Sheriff wakes up from all this noise and half asleep he shouts "Shut up Gibs!" But as Gibs continues unimpressed and the Sheriff gets a closer look at him he gets scared. He wishes he had his deputies with him. He moves his desk opposite to the cell and topples it over to use the surface as cover. He leans his sword at the table for easy access. He loads his crossbow and aims at Gibs.

The sheriff sits at his desk in front of his bottle watching over the town square. And he doesn't like what he sees. No matter what he does she ignores him. But this old geezer has her attention in no time. But instead of making an ass of himself again he decides to pour himself another drink on top of the three he already had.

The sheriff pours himself another one. "You know what? I have no idea what you're talking about. Show me a man and I can fight him. And even then I'm no good to protect one." he mumbles. "Even undead if it has to be. But you won't find me fighting spirits. Tell that Father Grimburrow. If you disappear and these things continue to happen I'll leave this god forsaken town." All in all the Sheriff is kind of depressed and not really interested in what Grergof has to say.
male Human Ranger 2
"They don't need to hear anything." the Sheriff replies but leads the way to his office. There he opens a cell and after Grergof dumps Gibs inside he locks the cell door. Seeing the question in Grergof's eyes he answers without being asked. "No I won't kill him. I'll leave that to the hangman." He then takes a seat behind his desk. Out of a drawer he produces a bottle and a glass. He pours himself a drink and downs it in one gulp.
