Sammy goes ahead to scout for this creature. He has a sneaking suspicion that he might be hiding around the next corner. He moves again through the Dweomersink to have a look.

Message is still up on Sammy as it was not dispelled the first time through.

There should be a light spell on a used container a bit south of the Dweomersink (say about 30'). It was discarded when I thought Sammy would have to stay behind.

Sammy must always be within 100' of his master so he will move up if Xilt moves beyond that distance. They can communicate by Message and Empathic Link.

Sammy feels like he is almost cooked enough for eating. He remains out of reach near the ceiling of the cave and crawls past Dewberry trying to escape a future blast.

Sammy continues to kiss the air searching for the location of these foul creatures. He will surely communicate this fact to Xilt. His master is in trouble yet again and he wracks his tiny serpentine brain to remember if these creatures can see invisible creatures as well as in the dark. He remembers hearing once that casting in the dark is almost as bad as swimming after eating or perhaps it was the other way around.

He can take two move actions to locate the direction of these creatures. He automatically pinpoints any creatures within 5' of himself and Xilt.

We should have a discussion about line of effect and casting I think. Assuming that you are blind can you cast spells with a range of touch (like on yourself)? Also is tremorsense or a pinpointed square with scent enough information to cast at a spell at a creature or even to center an area of effect spell?

His head poking gently out of the top of Xilt's backpack. He feels his master's fear and wonders if they can simply vanish and escape this monster's notice.
