We're gonna have the low-level tables fight Treerazer in the special, I think it'll be fine.

Excellent!

I have a conspiracy theory that has a call-back all the way back to PFS v1 Season 0 and ties to several APs about the society's in-game interest and why they might be stretching their fingers into the region (reinforced by a thing James Case wrote in a blog not too long ago). I'll learn just how far off I am when scenarios for this winter drop.

Until then, I'll hold the reigns on the specifics, though.

I'm just now curious if there's any connection between those being the last world's Rovagug targeted and the 3 worlds that developed humans.

The meta reason is that Androffa is the planet my homebrew is set on (although that's its ancient name—it's contemporary name has shortened to Droffa), Golarion is the planet that inherited a fair amount of lore from said homebrew, and Earth is where said homebrew was created.

There's certainly an in-world reason too about the deeper connection between those three, but it's not one we've explored much more than this blog post. Yet.

The only planets in existence that know how to make raspberry doughnuts.

But all worlds have a version of Swedish Meatballs.

Lau, would it make a difference if it was 1 + 1 + 2 + 1, not 1 + 2 + 1 + 1?

No, because my problem is that the instruction and the example just aren't in any way the same.

The instruction says to take the highest result, not to sum the results.

Apologies. I was sleep-deprived and thought it was a decent attempt at levity (you could say I was...on a roll?).

Here's an odd question - once someone sits down to perform a formal review using the rubric to assess a GM, how/where are the results reported?

Granted! You gain eternal life and as a gift, knowledge of your future. For whatever you shall gain while alive on this planet, when it inevitably ends, you will live on, alone. That is, until one day when our sun goes nova and you are cooked at temperatures no material other than atomic hydrogen and helium were made to survive...and yet you will live on in anguish. Then you will spend countless millennia suffocating and freezing as your body drifts through the void of space while your organs implode, and yet you will live on.

Enjoy!

Hellknight Aegis: Break your Hellknight armor to cast a cleric spell on yourself to remove harmful conditions.

Here's a slightly odd one... the PRD/glossary states:

PRD wrote:
Items that have taken damage in excess of half their total hit points gain the broken condition.

But Hellknight Aegis just states that you can "give your Hellknight armor the broken condition" to enact the feat's effect.

RAW - Your armor is simply "broken" and a single casting of "Mending" would fix it.

RAI - Your armor is supposed to be at half hp until repaired?

The Concordance 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

Overpowered =/= "broken", but...

RAW and using a 3,000gp rod, a 12th level magus with these arcana could fire an Intensified Shocking Grasp (10d6, not counting weapon damage on top of that) at ~500 feet.

Or, with an 11,000gp rod, three Maximized Scorching Ray arrows (24 + weapon damage each) also at ~500 feet.

To me, at least, that's pretty powerful damage output at a range difficult to fight back from for a very minimal cost for a PC.

Plus, those are just two quick examples that I came up with within a few seconds of seeing these arcana for the first time. I'm sure someone who's more rules-savvy than I could exploit them to a far greater extent.

The Concordance 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

If anything, the two magus arcana in the book are way OP compared to the archer archetype. I was expecting the archetype to be legal and the arcana banned, not the reverse.

(and this coming from someone who loves the Magus class)

Would you rule differently if the Orange Ioun said "add a spell to your spells known"? Because there was an often misused 3.5 feat called Extra Spell that said that. And the official FAQ was it only added spells you could already add normally.

Well, it does actually say that:

Orange Prism Ioun Stone wrote:
Cracked: Wearer adds one cantrip or orison (determined when the stone is created) to his list of spells known or spells prepared. Price: 1,000 gp.

The way its worded suggests to me that it just can add either a cantrip or orison to your existing spell list regardless of whether you cast orisons or cantrips normally.

Edit: To be clear, I think your interpretation is logical, I just can't find it in the wording.

Since all the interpretation in question does is give a similar ability as a trait, I don't think it is terribly overpowered to allow a 0 level spell from any list.

Two-World Magic, according to D20PFSRD, is the trait in question.

What would you say about using this to give a caster whose class doesn't have cantrips *or* orisons a level 0 spell?
