HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar, sitting in a chair nearby, enjoying his mug of Dwarven Headsplitter, looks up at the sound of his name.

Aye, who be saying me name? Unless you got a ale to give me, or wish to start an order, it best be a good reason lads and lasses?

Riggar looks in the general direction of Yue Fei and Bartholomew, and gives Bartholomew a nod with a raised mug.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Do we each off you something, or is it one gift for all of us to pass?, he asks the demon.

Oi, what the blue hells be goin'

Riggar stops his thought process as he sees the two...well whatever they are.

K planes red thing: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

And what exactly do you view as an exchange?

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar, looks at Withal's scaly friend. He looks it up and down, trying to figure out the best method to properly outfit the beast.

The best is up to the other viewpoint lad. I just do the best I can, and hope my work speaks for itself. I am my biggest judgement lad Riggar says with a hearty laugh.

So, to the task at hand, you want some masterwork studded leather, fit to your friend there. I have heard of dogs and horses before but I must admit this is one of the strangest requests I have ever heard.

He ponders for a moment, I will do it for at cost, since I have to admit this may never happen again.

Medium size masterwork studded = 175. For Telaris is x2=350. So at cost is 350/3=115gp. If my math is correct.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar, stands confused at the events that just took place. He is relieved to hear Bartleby's voice. He looks around, checks over himself for any wounds, or other strange issues.

After we are done, you'll have to explain this clever trap to us in detail.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Is it a mirror of soul trapping? Is his gear with us or with him

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

will save to disbelieve illusion?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

So I DO NOT lose the spell, correct?

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

K arcana: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
K planes: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
K religion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

After thinking about what it may or may not be that has inhabited this room, he grabs his hammer and casts a spell then moves closer to Bartleby and Martin the ape.

casting Invisibility Purge. Lasts 6 minutes, 15 foot radius that follows me where I travel,

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Ah hell, what'd we be getting ourselves into?, as he gets a little dizzy from the mass amount of mirrors and reflections.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

I will cast bless (lasts 60 minutes, +1 morale bonus to attack/saves vs fear).

I will also cast Weapon of Awe on Kale's primary weapon as well. {lasts 6 minutes)

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar, checks to make sure his armor and new cloak and securely strapped to his stocky frame. He touches his hammer twice and imbues it with the magical ability to hurt ghost and other incorporeal creatures.

He then goes over to Kale, and touches his preferred weapon twice, giving it the same ability.

Both my hammer and Kale's main weapon have the "ghost touch" magical ability for the next 6 minutes. I have 1 use of Forge Rune left

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar will stop by Rifikki's and buy a ring of feather fall for 2500 unless another PC somehow has one for cheaper :). Once I have the ring me and Bartholomew will burn 4 days to craft me a cloak +2

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

leveled up and ready

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar is a bit put off as random floating twine starts to measure him, but "warms" up to the process...well as much as a dwarf could warm up that is. He listen to Bartholomew discuss hems, and clasps, stitching and other work terms.

He thinks about the ring of feather fall, and knows that he doesn't know how to craft rings, but tries to think of anyone who can.

Let me try and track down that ring for ya. I am not specialized in rings, but I may have a buddy who knows how to craft such things. If it is just a jewel ye be looking for, I can easily do that for ya, no problem.

So a +2 cloak for 900gp, if I can get you a ring of feather fall?

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

i love a good challenge :)

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar works for a bout 2 months, and after he is done his armor, and weapons are all magical. It was cheap, especially for the cold iron weapon, but he vies the end result as well worth it.

He then heads over to Bartholomew's stand, Aye, you in boy. Was wonderin' if ye could make me a cloak of resistance, something that provides a little bit better of protection than the standard one?

Looking to see if you can do a reist +2?

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

hp roll: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
reroll: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

So, everybody levels up, we adjust are current level to WBL standards; go shopping if we want and then come back to finish level 3?

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar watches as the spider takes a good blow, but then sees it vanish. He grumbles under his breath. He readies an attack against the creature should it reappear.

readied action to attack if it comes into view, charging and moving if need be: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar grabs his holy symbol and casts bless

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar will spread out into the room, and when a hostile appears, he will cast bless, doing his best to avoid AOO.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

What ye be talkin bout could be a phase spider. They be nasty little buggers, be careful the bite for it damages your physical body. It could be on the ethereal plane right now and can pop in at a moments notice. Be on your guard everyone.

Riggar will ready his morningstar and shield.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

per: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
k planes: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Riggar doesn't see a damn thing, but he listens to the other describe what they are seeing and hearing. He thinks back to the lessons of yore, and tries to recall what type of spiders they may be.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar, walks up to the second floor, wondering what he will run into next.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Was wondering if you were ever gonna return me boi? I finished your armor for ye, but I heard you were getting some adventure in ya.

He grabs his mithril shirt, I hope it meets your standards

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar, will stand next to only of the bloody lions...even if they give with the heebie-jeebies and he wants to destroy them.

How the hell can you stand being around those filthy lions? Undead are an abomination, if I didn't know ye as well as I do..., he doesn't finish but knows he gets the point.

"I hear you are in the business of armorsmithing - how much would you be charging for a Mithril Shirt? I'm in the market to live, and that seems like it'd help me out the most."

mithril is a hot item. I hope my supplier still has some, he wonders as he hears the word mithril again.

For a mithril chain shirt it will cost ye 884 gold pieces. I could have 'we done in bout 3 months time. What say ya?, extending a hand in hope of reaching a deal.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

1100/3=367. 867-367+500profit
18 weeks later and you have a mithril chain shirt, not too shabby if I do say so

Riggar takes some quick measurements to ensure the shiny chain shirt is a snug fit. He than gets to work gathering the required mithril. His supplier doesn't even bat an eyelash when Riggar requests the needed amount.

Riggar gets to work, he smelts what is needed and starts to hammer out the rings necessary. After taking his time, not wanting to mess anything up, he is finished, he gets a hold of Bubo, and shows him the finished product.

Bubo Sraga wrote:

Oh, and I'd be interested in the level 4 and up adventure. :P

While he's about, Bubo drops by a few shops to place some orders.

He first goes to Riggar's in order to purchase armor. Would like to buy a Mithral Shirt.

That done, he returns to his own shop displaying alchemical items and potion of his own make.

That's my specialty of late he says with a hearty laugh. How does 867 gold sound my boy?

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Oi, those spiders had some nasty poison. My body took some time catching up to it. But yes, let's rest. This place will be here for a bit.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

[b]Call it as in level up; or simply wait to finish the next level then level after that. Either way hope the week is for fun things and not work. Be safe[/ooc]

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

After Riggar gets his bearings, Riggar will take his time in searching the reception hall.

Riggar's body reacts quickly to the venom but not quick enough. His face grows pale, and his lush brown beard has a few strands of gray appear. He clutched his holy symbol, and cards a spell.

Riggar's body cannot stop the venom coursing through his veins. It debilitated him, and as such he is unable to bust the webbing around him.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar tries again to get himself out of the sticky webbing stuck on him.

strength: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar, caught in the sticky webs tries to burst out of them to help the others. But he can't seem to find a good way to break the sticky strands.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

I simply have no clue whose turn it was lol

Plus I work retail so turkey week is a b~&~*

I will get a post up today than :)

Ahh, I shoulda know better than to just walk in

Somebody, get me the hell outta here, so I can bash some spiders in.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar, looks at the...reception hall, or what used to pass as one. He looks at the mass of webs, trying to spot if there are any lurking spiders.

per: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Not spotting anything, he takes his hammer and starts to bash the webs down.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar's jaw drops as he realizes what he is staring at...

This place, is incredible. The whole thing be made o adamantite. The real stuff, whoever made this, I sure hope were a dwarf. No seams, cracks...just flawless stone. Beaty she is.

He than turns to the old man, are there any wards we should know about?

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar gets out of the carriage at looks at the imposing black structure before him. He rubs his beard, and thinks what it could be made out of to "absorb" light the way it does.

craft: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

yes, craft (smith/armor) I have +13. Not counting the spell bonus since it isn't always there

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

I enjoy a good mystery, but what are we going to be clearing out for your mistress? he asks a slight crack in his voice. He is accustomed to the strange and weird, but even this is a lot for Riggar to absorb.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

yes, very much as a person...Riggar however is slightly unnerved and preturbed by the macabre feel of it :)

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Hmph...the old man shoulda gave me more information.

I think the leveling thing might be better. Rolling a random item seems like 90% of the time it will net something of little to no use. And the market just isn't there yet in terms of people having enough cash to buy magic items of any value. It may be better, that in addition to some XP/level, the GM also gets some cash based on the wealth by character level charts.

It was never clear to me what list of magic items would be used anyhow since there are a myriad of sources. I don't know if one comprehensive list exists.

Since the original GM no longer participates (to my knowledge), we are free to do whatever we like I think.

So with the WBL idea, it could be that if a GM uses a "bank level", say to go from level 2 to 3, the difference in WBL is 1K - 3k or 2000. The GM could receive say 75% of the difference, giving them some monetary reward, but since there is a varying $ in this game, they won't be super ahead of the curve. Maybe a little below but not horrible.

So in the above example, the GM would receive 1500 gp, to be able to make or buy whatever they want or need?

So, I am using a banked level to go from 3 to 4. The $ difference is 3000 so 75% = 2250. My current wealth is 5400+2250=7450 total. I kinda feel bad about it though...should I. I saved up all the $ from gearing others up.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

I can use one of my levels, to be level 4 so I am game if that helps :)

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

900 gold pieces and you got a deal my boy
